I’m not certain how that relates to what I said. It may be difficult but not fighting back because we are deemed disrespectful isn’t enough reason not to fight. I’ve watched grown women through this debacle look at someone they should have protected and instead side with a man that caused her harm. There’s no excuse for such a behavior, to lose our humanity and discernment because of a pair of doe eyes and fake smile. That was what I meant by do better. It’s a shame to say this but if he didn’t look the way he does, he’d have never had this much support. And this doesn’t fall on just men, it was mostly women singing his praise here. We need to be kinder to each other. The kind of behavior a lot of us have displayed since this started is frankly disgusting. So no, I don’t think I was wrong, we should do better.

Thank you. I will forever support that hashtag. I may not speak on it as it’s very disheartening and seeing how the minds of other women work has been very depressing. However, I will NEVER forget.
This will probably be the last time I’ll say anything about this. Everyone is well within their rights to support whomever they want just as people can also choose to withdraw their support. Personally, I’ll never look at him in the same light again nor can I enjoy anything he’s in : this will always loom over him and whatever he work he does plus the way he handled the aftermath has left a very sour taste in my mouth. In addition, I don’t think i’ll support whomever chooses to work with him after this as it’s clear that our values and beliefs do not align so I don’t see why you should see a dollar of my money. I hope she finds peace, I hope everyone who has been affected by this finds some peace too. And I hope us women will learn to do better and be kinder. This entire debacle has been both an eye opener and very disappointing. Not everything that glitters is gold. Have some discernment.
Let’s say for just one second his agency was telling the truth, (and we know they’re clearly lying), That means that at the very least, he’s the kind of man that couldn’t even take out the time to attend the funeral of someone he once claimed to love who died so tragically nor respect her death by not being so insensitive on the day she died . Have you ever finished a movie and all you want to do is hide? You want to think about it and at the same time, you don’t? Yeah, that’s this series. This one is going to stay with me for a while.
The ending completely ruined the entire show. It focused on the wrong perpetrators. We shouldn’t have watched the original victims get punished for their crimes. And suffer even more. Yes they did wrong and should be punished but all that would have been avoided if the people in power had done what they needed to do.
We should have watched the original perpetrators, the actual evil doers. Those that started it all go down and lose everything they love and care about. Instead we got a 2 minutes clip of them being handcuffed and that was it.
That’s usually my issue with some thriller k dramas. They mostly sacrifice a great story (and a more dramatic ending) in order to double down on the moral lesson. All in all, not a bad series. Not the Best but definitely not the not the worst.
I applaud the strength some commenters have to argue with people who clearly cannot be reasoned with. It’s best to save your energy and enjoy the show rather than trying to talk sense into very thick skulls. It’ll never cease to baffle me what people with so much hate expect parents to do with their children who are different from what society has deemed as ‘normal’. I mean, Do you want them to throw their children away? Ps. Best episode so far. Really sets the tone for the rest of the series. (Oh, to have a friend like that court lady!)
Beautiful and sad. I kept waiting for them to throw the curve ball that Yeo Na was still alive and unconscious somewhere and I’m sooo grateful they didn’t do that. Sometimes like Yeo Na, you fight for something and it doesn’t come true and that’s okay. I don’t get to see that portrayed well in the media. Ps. We deserved to watch Thomas go. Not just walk into the room, actually disappear. I can’t believe they robbed us of that.
It’s very rare for me to have very contrasting opinions about a series; I usually either really love it, or really hate it but with the eclipse, I’m very torn. The acting is wonderful, the chemistry between the leads? Phenomenal! But the plot? The writing? It really Leaves nothing to be desired. There’s simply not enough information being fed into this world they’re trying to build for it to be believable or for the viewers to care. Still, it’s definitely my Friday night guilty pleasure and after I had to give BLs a break this year due to the plethora of underwhelming series that have been put out, it’s nice to have something to look forward to.

This is for anyone that sent rape threats to someone else: you’re no sicker than what it was we were condemning here these past few days. If you showed any outrage for something similar and still went ahead to wish something so vile on another person, you’re a horrid human being. You don’t know what is going on in other people’s lives. A lot of people process events and thoughts via fictional characters and scenarios and you’re not in the position the judge their thought process. You haven’t walked their shoes so how can you understand? You need to be tolerant of other people, whether you understand them or not. I’ve said this before but some of y’all are apparently dense so I’ll say it again: it takes a different kind of evil to wish something so intrusive and dehumanizing like rape on someone else. You need to seek help as soon as possible. You think VP stands are horrible people so to show them how horrible they are, you send send them death and rape threats. And you’re the good person? Make it make sense!
