They always give it to the mean-spirited parent so they can't hear all the harsh truths about how their own faults and wrong beliefs directly leads to the bad stuff happening in their child's and others lives. Forcing their kids to hide or give up who the fundamentally are out of guilt and not want to cause their parent even the slightest amount of harm out of the years the parents apparently cause them.

In the manga, Ai acted and looked wayyyyyy too much like a child to my liking. With the major age gap it just made it so worse. I actually gave up on it and only tried to start again because this live action was being made. I HOPE they change that aspect in the drama.

Yeah, that's true. Some shows are falling back into the "kissing angles" and "dead fish" kisses and this was actually superb. They do have great chemistry.

The only thing I hate about the sex scenes is that they make it sooooo obvious that they are not really doing much. Their movements "say" they are having sex, but the blankets around them both and the obvious complete crease in the blanket between them shows they're not. I'm not saying be Heated Rivalry, but just working with camera angles to not show that would work and stop taking people out of the moment.
