AvenueX give 2.5 gold mine for Daybreaker and praise Li Yi Feng acting. Its so rare to see her to hype a good…
I saw her review for Day Breaker right after finishing Under The Skin, and I jumped into this drama. Caught up to the latest episode and one thing for sure, Day Breaker is mad confusing if you don't pay attention.
The story of this drama is really nice and I loved everybody's acting, but I just can't ignore the way the female…
Yes!!!
She eventually acted buddy, buddy with everyone else, but treated 2nd male lead so horrible. The fact that she blindly hate him because his family hurted the man she loves, even though 2nd male lead had nothing to do with his family's misdeeds. And don't get me started with her detached apologies at the end.... =_=
Just because she has sociopath tendencies, it doesn't justify her behavior.
There were so many opportunities for her character developments, but they never showed it or follow through with it.
it took a while, but i finally finished The Long Night. Emotionally draining. The trio's last hug broke my heart... I heard there were a lot of hidden messages so this will definitely be on my Re-watch list.
Totally agree with your review! This show left a lot of unanswered questions. 1. What makes a vengeance ghost? How are ghosts classified? Ji Ah's mom, restaurant Aunty's son, and the little girl at the apartment complex could be considered the same type of ghost, and they are clearly different from regular vengeance ghost. However, Ji Ah wasn't able to tell the difference. 2. What happened to little Ji Ah and In Bum; how they got their powers? The weird glowy eyes and ember outline on their faces when they exorcised the egg ghost as kids; they didn't explain that. 3. The whole shaman organization. Like, wth? That was out of nowhere lol. 4. What happened to Ji Ah? How she got her powers back?? How does one become a shaman/ exorcist? D:
I actually like the case-by-case episodic story more than the main storyline, lol. They could amp up the main villain a bit more. He really is too generic and bland compared to the other characters.
ML needs to work more on emotional scene. The scene with his grandma supposed to be a very moving and emotional scene, but I felt like the actor held himself back. Oh In Bum could be a much more complex character.
The product promotion/ads in this series was insane LOL. From the underwear to the chips. I couldn't.. lolol.
Thank you for your review! This was a pleasant 7/10 drama to watch. I actually like the Platonic relationship and super glad they didn't focus on romance here.
I was afraid to go into this drama; thought it would be similar to other draggy period costume drama... but now I think I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the review!
The writers delivered a near perfect script for Mr queen but after the finale I'm still left feeling empty even…
Agreed! It was especially hard to watch the scene when the King touched the Queen's Dictionary and comment that he feels like he's missing something.
Then seeing Mr.Queen crying when he saw the funny portrait of the King in the History book. The one who should have stayed with the King is Mr.Queen... the ending just didn't feel right
We need more drama & production like this. I'm laughing so hard in every episode! The casts are amazing from main leads to supports! So, so loving this drama. I'm looking forward to the weekends even more now!
Am I the only one who like the cousin character? Lol. He is super cute and the way his eyes are always looking at the Queen - such emotions! I ship him hard with the original Queen.
Just finished this series today. It was a fun series despite the flaws.
Personally, I didn't like how they end the last episode. Makes me wonder if we should just to read the novel.
I'm here for Zhang Ruo Yun and Wang Yang :D
Love them in Joy of Life, and I can't wait to see them work together again here
I hope Wang Zu Yi gets more drama roles.

Can't wait for the korean remake :D
That's why I'm looking for more similar drama. The Bad Kids was amazing!

Episode 14, he said he was the son of Emperor Wuzong (assuming the late Emperor), and that the current Emperor is simply his Father's uncle.
