Wonderful review. I totally agree. Although romance was a big part of the story the other elements you brought up were equally important. This truly was a unique show in its telling and execution. Also the fact that it’s at least 10 years behind, lets it eliminate a lot of current tech which changes the whole feel of a story. I will miss this one.
I like that they wrapped up the smuggling drama in the penultimate episode giving a full episode to healing and their long awaited romance. it wasn’t rushed or tense. Even though it didn’t end with the typical wedding it felt so natural and genuine. They both were moving in a positive direction professionally. They finally had a home together without stress. it was a beautiful ending to a wonderful show.
i found it somewhat unrealistic that his girlfriend loved him and Umi but would rather spend her life alone and only be with them when she was needed or she felt like it. The concept of wanting to live her life for herself didn’t make sense to me since she seemed truly happy when she was with them. Was she planning to meet someone new. start a relationship and have a child on her own? It certainly didn’t seem like that.
Perfect final episode. Not rushed, everything tied up. I found myself smiling the entire final minutes after the time skip. I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m going to miss my weekend drama😢
such a nice penultimate episode today, except for the last 20 seconds. i love how all the characters had their own self reflection and growth. I’m glad they didn’t leave the wedding until the final episode. Even Se Ri seems to have changed. What she did for Seong Mi was so nice. The only issue that I hope they can resolve is the youngest couples romance.
does anyone know the English translation of the words to the theme song that is played throughout the show. It’s so pretty and i always wonder what is being sung.
Question....i feel like i missed this part or maybe it just hasn't been explained yet. At first I thought CY went…
me too. they haven’t revealed that yet. It seems that they show the details slowly. Just like we didn’t find out how the policeman/uncle Zhou’s wife died although I suspect it was in fire since she worked at that facility. I love this show but feel like very little is revealed in each episode.
