These pheromones are produces by the pheromones glands that are usually located in the neck, wrists, underarms, etc... Something like sweat glands. Only alphas and omegas have ability to produce pheromones and smell them. Betas don't have this ability. Omega scents are usually sweet, floral or fruity and Alpha scents are stronger and sharper like earthy or citrus-like.
Pheromones exist to signal someone's secondary gender, their emotions, their status, to attract potential mates or show dominance... For example, usually in most omegaverse stories, an alpha would find an omega's scent attractive, but the scent of another alpha would be repulsive to them. Also the stronger, more dominant alphas have stronger pheromones that can dominate other alphas and especially omegas. Yeah to me it seemed like Krit had plenty of chances to talk about it with Rin before breaking up but didn't because is he cowardly. And also I can't help but think that Krit didn't even want to actually break up with Rin, but wanted Rin to get jealous and beg him to get back together.
I'm enjoying this way more than I'd thought I would. After so many emotionally heavy or dark bls for the past few years, it's actually so nice and refreshing watching something lighthearted and funny no matter how silly and goofy it is. Honestly i interpreted that scene not as Rin being obsessed with his own image and social media or wanting to impress his friends and followers for his own sake but actually caring about Krit's image and not wanting people to think bad of his boyfriend or talk about how he is inconsiderate, bcs people can be pretty cruel when gossiping. Rin himself seemed pretty happy about the gift he got from Krit.
Also, just because Rin has a social media presence and cares about it, doesn't mean he is a bad boyfriend or that he is obsessed with himself. To me, he seemed like a pretty considerate boyfriend and generally like someone who genuinely cares about his friends and his bf (like when he warned Krit to stay away from Khobfa when he thought that Khobfa was a bad person).
People can have hobbies or things they do and like, and if Krit knew that being an influencer or whatever and having a social media presence is an important part of Rin's life and he didn't like it, he had plenty of chance to break u with Rin instead of wasting his own time.
