She is completely shocked, she's making a phenomenal effort to pull herself together and go to Ji Xiao instead of taking her revenge on the mad old woman and stabbing her to death. When she turns and starts walking toward JX she's still zombie-like under the shock.

No, it's at least an 8.7 so far for me 😁. If things don't go awry I expect it to become easily a 9.

If the scars in her arms came from the murderers I don't think she'd have survived. Why would they kill everyone but leave her alive?

I am on the opposite side on that one. I think the character is a POS and the actor has a lot to learn yet about acting. I think he's the one weak link in this drama.

She knew, but I don't think she 'understood' at all why he chose to save himself at the expense of the 18 Lishan Academy members. She actually threw that on his face as a really selfish thing to do.

Why are these two character in her imagination? Caveat: If it is a massive spoiler for future episodes, I'd rather not know.

It doesn't matter how long it's been around for in real life, in this drama the top imperial doctors don' t know about it. Unless you have read the entire script or watched the entire series, there is no way you can know for sure whether she's from the future.

That would explain it. I'm glad they changed it, I don't think a transmigration plot would fit how this drama is developing.

How come Ye Li knows so much about modern medicine and surgery? She even instructed him to place the analgesic pill under his tongue on ep 12, but I don't think sublingual administration was known in those times, I believe the knowledge that a substance gets absorbed into the blood stream much faster through the membranes than via the stomach is far more recent than that. About breaking bones that have set wrongly and re-setting them, I don't know when that surgical advancement took place, but the top imperial doctors in the drama don't know about it. My theory: Is it going to turn out that Ye Li transmigrated from the future into that era, or into the novel?

Independent women in costume dramas behave confidently, including their body language. It's not rare.

There is no contradiction. She tried to fight the snakes, when they were about to overpower her master Zhu arrived and killed them, but they both got bitten.

She wasn't sleeping, she was just lying in bed and musing about the day's events. I think this is perfectly normal for women of all times. I've never seen anybody sleeping with their arms folded behind their head, they would become painful in no time.

I had this drama on my priority list since it was first announced and it's exceeding my expectations so far Just finished ep 11 and I'm loving it, so much fun. Great plot, superb acting and chemistry between the main couple, beautiful scenery, expert direction, perfect pace. My only criticism is that we are getting only 2 eps a day, I wish they dropped all 40 of them at once so we can binge on them. More like this, please.😍

I've been waiting for this drama. Watched the first 5 eps in a row as soon as they were out, astonishing. Engaging plot, good pace, fantastic acting, beautiful cinematography, expert direction and handsome people. Can't wait for tomorrow's eps.👏👏👏
