Based on comments alone I thought this will be way worse, but it's really just okay. Also, I haven't read the manga before so I went and checked out first few chapters and I can see where this adaptation is lacking but they did what they could since the series will be only 8 episodes long I guess... I think it will be a grower anyways so I'll just wait for the rest of the episodes and jugde then.
i just feel like the music is overly dramatic and unfitting for some scenes and underwhelming in others, misrepresentative... also are they trying to tell us a 25 year old didn't know of masochism lol

I didn't read the book and I don't find this show bad at all. I'd even say that it's enjoyable... maybe some moments don't make much sense at first, but I believe those will be explained as the show progresses

everyone hates the amnesia trope but i really wish it happens, i want to see how they'll execute it lol all the good stuff is coming next, i can't wait to see which parts they'll go with
i wish the main title to this series was stalker instead of secret crush on you... but i guess stalker is not as appealing, just like toh's character isn't appealing. stalker would also be a little more accurate since this situation is more of an obssesion than a crush. the series is trying to portray toh as quircky, goofy and awkward, but i just see a creep. his friend group is not helping either. the dinamic the group is supposed to have is them being funny and united, but i can't see any humor or "support" there. it's all very distasteful. and what does nuea see in toh? honestly hoping he recognizes how creepy toh is so there could be some consequences and a redeemind arc i guess. but i don't see the series taking that path... i was also hoping that toh's obssesion would be properly adressed, but he's getting (indirectly) rewarded for his creepiness. that ain't it chief. i want to drop it but i guess i'll wait for other couples to develop a relationship or something, idek, toh's character is just really unlikable and hard to digest
its not the nature of the main relationship, to me, its the stupid decisions and terrible progression of the plot.…
i haven't seen run on yet so i can't say anything on that note but you're already showing bias with these kinds of comments, comparing different dramas that i suppose have only their genres in common (and don't take this personally, i'm just pointing it out because people tend to look and judge series by comparing them a lot). in terms of plot progression, yeah, it was stagnant but i see it as another note of realism in this show. at other times it was just messy which is a fair criticism.
just because you don't like the nature of the main relationship doesn't mean the show is bad. i just don't understand some comments and reviews, if not most of them. this show is for sure deserving of a critique but some people are straight up bashing it because it was not idealistic or rational in some aspects.
