It does seem to be loosely based on similar plot. Places, names, and dates are different but you can guess what happens next if you saw the k-drama. Biggest difference is no actual tunnel here.

Yes. You just have to wait another day for the Express episode to turn into a VIP episode. Tencent then also seems to be releasing the final 4-6 episodes on new dramas as an express package for $5.99 a couple of days before they are available to VIP. Really trying to get extra money out of viewers.

At least it is airing on time. After seeing first episode kind of reminds me of the 2017 k-drama “Tunnel”.

First three episodes on Tencent. Ep 2 and 3 are VIP and then express for episode 4. Driving me crazy how now every show on Tencent is making you pay for extra express episode . I thought they had stopped allowing companies to do that. Really ruins the fun of watching shows as they air when people post spoilers for express episode endings.

I also requested updates. It is due to time zone differences and the time of day it is released. For example if they release episodes at 12 pm in China on the 26th then it would still be the night of the 25th in my time zone.

first 3 episodes released for vip and 4th is express. Not to happy Tencent is doing express for extra episode again. They did it with Snowfall too.

I have always loved him in “Love Thorough A Millennium”. I even saw it without subs when it came out since I enjoyed his acting. It is a time travel drama where he somehow travels to the present day from the past and meets an actress. Basically a remake of korean drama Queen inhyuns man. Not as good as original but he was great in it.

I think the short special released on YOUKU helps. A 2 minute video Lin Zhendong records for the future Zhang Chi where he updates him on the last 5 years since he last appeared and wonders whether future ZhangChi doesn’t exist anymore or if they are in multiverse. He wishes he could come back again but overall he hopes Zhang Chi woke up and is not hurt and can live the way he wants.

I believe they each made a wish to see each other again at the wishing tree in last episode. She visited the tree in last episode saying she wished he would know she didn’t die that night. Likely the reason he showed up in his dream to see her playing harp the day she died. I believe she did see him as she stared out at crowd. She just didn’t react as he truly didn’t know her that first time he saw her and seems like for her she could die in peace seeing him from afar one last time... Plus he left money at stall showing he also made a wish after speaking to the lady who sold him the jade. Each had final wish come true after a long time while playing their love song.

The first mystery or “chapter” about his apartment did not really grab my interest much but after those episodes I noticed some hints of what would happen to him so kept watching and was hooked. Love the twist in ending. Was looking for a drama to see like Evil Minds and this satisfied my search.

Saw all 24 episodes were posted already for VIP in IQiYI. Not sure about subs though.

One episode a day would be nice. I noticed the trend for sites like IQIYI and YOUKU offering final episodes early for extra fee is starting to come back. I don’t want to pay extra but the wait can make me drop drama if I’m also seeing a couple others and a bunch of new ones come out during the week.

That’s fine. Don’t mean to debate. My real original comment was based on them using same plot line of another girl to create trouble in relationship. I just think it was strange to start saying we want all males to be a monk when I said writer didn’t write him to act as a monk even if it comes off like that because he isn’t a player. If people demand a monk lead then some dramas do exist where character is literally a monk.
