Mmh... I don't know if there will be kisses or not, but I wonder what is the source of this rumour? Is it reliable? Because I just find it strange for it to surface just now, when the trailer is coming out and being quite a success. I agree that this isn't a romance centric drama, the trailer clearly showcase that the focus is on the FL's journey, as it should be, yet the poster on the other hand clearly focus on the love triangle without giving away much of anything else 🤷♀️ so saying there is little or no romance wouldn't make sense. ZLS is simply great at kissing scenes. Whether it's with actor close to her age (CZY, WL) or older does not matter (YY will be 33 this year and LYN is 34). That's a no brainer. As for LYN he had 1 kiss with Liu Tao that was cut by the director in the final version of BYOL and multiple kissing scenes with LSS in AJTL. So if we don't get any kisses then it's a choice made by the directror as clearly both are OK with those. For me what matters the most is the story so whether there is 0 kiss, 1 kiss or plenty of kisses won't make or break this drama or any drama. But so far I don't quite see why we wouldn't have any kissing scene. I'm just gonna take this as another baseless rumour surrounding this drama as we've had plenty of those from the very beginning and simply ignore it.
Am I the only one thinking this poster focusing on the love triangle brings back memories of the Long Ballad's poster with the Hao Du- Li Leyan- Wei Shuyu love triangle ?? I mean they are in almost the same position, with almost the same colours...
Zhang Jin Ran likes her!? What her reaction to SML in novel
The novel is unfinished, with only 10 chapters or so~ and we already know that LYN character isn't from the novel but some kind of mix of 2 characters... that's all we know so far but there might be other & bigger change. Sure it IS inspired by the novel, but I don't think it should be considered an adaptation.
I'm really loving what we can see of Duan Wu & Yan Zi Jing in this trailer 💖 Seems like it's gonna be a long and difficult journey for our little pearl girl and I'm so there for it!
I've only watched the first episode but I'm quite impressed so far. I wasn't expecting much since this drama had…
I hope so for him! 😆 Too bad we only seem to remember when he dies 🙃 A few years ago I remember someone saying that he, Sean Bean, only died sth like 15 or 18 times (which isn't the record at all by the way), and LYN with his quite young career seems well on his way to at least equal this 🤦♀️ at least when it comes to costume dramas.
edit: I was curious so I just checked it and SB died 24 time in his career film & dramas included. Please LYN let's not do this!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I was looking for news about her next drama and got this instead !This is insane!!! 🤩✨ 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Not gonna lie I'm really not confident in his chance of survival here... especially with the forbidden love story 😔. That's also why I didn't jump on Eternal Brotherhood right away. It was a little too soon after AJTL and I needed some time to mend my broken heart, no matter how many times I tell myself that it's an open endind (now I'm just glad I didn't so I'll be able to watch part 1 & 2 back to back 😆).
He'd better stay alive next year for TSOPG and ADWAD or we'll need to make an intervention or something to keep him away from 'Sad Ending' scripts!!🙅♀️🙅♀️🙅♀️ The guy even joke that his 💀 rate in costume dramas is 80% and seems to still go for more !!! 😭 I swear he is trying to be the chinese Sean Bean!!!
I've only watched the first episode but I'm quite impressed so far. I wasn't expecting much since this drama had been postponed, for so long, I just thought there might be something wrong with it, but after the 1st episode I really wonder why it took them so long. There are some truly beautifully framed shots in this 1 episode & I really hope to see more of those. At times I had to slow down the speed to read all the info dropped, but I'm definitely intrigued by the story! It seems like it's gonna be another perilous journey for LYN... praying hard right now for him to stay alive 🙏
Wait a minute ! So first we've got a super duper cute unofficial drama poster of LYN with Daimi and LYT with Rourou and now these 2 adorable fluffballs are even included in the booting ceremony?? https://x.com/Astriella3/status/1786256935660196184 Sooooo... is this really Daimi & Rourou's debut into C-ent?😂
I'm new to cdrama, more familar w korean & thai industry, so can people more familar with Chinese tv industry…
It does happen, and being in the same company most certainly is helpful for a repeat collaboration. But more than that if a pairing is especially successful, whether they are in the same company or not, it still increases their chance of working together again. For example Li Xian pairing with Yang Zi for Go Go Squid! in 2019 was very successful and they are now filming Flourished Peony together.
For me, Will love in Spring stands out in its portrayal of modern life. The chemistry between the lead actors…
Seriously, this might not be intentional but your comment kinda comes off as 'it's great but if it were a K-drama it would be even greater!'. Personally I used to love K-dramas but over the years I found myself being happier watching C-dramas, so I really don't need or even want the typical K-drama formula. In fact I'm sure that it would have lessen my appreciation of the drama. Of course to each their own, but if you need all those elements to fully enjoy a drama then maybe you should stick to K-drama.
Does she really have only one upcoming drama?! Me and my family wrapped up filming in february, I wish we had some news about her next project by now...
