This drama is high rated while it was objectively bad. Luckily they had chemistry I guess that's what kept people watching since they love romance even when the plot is lacking. It was a disappointment for such high expected drama.That's why watchers shouldn't focus on MDL's ratings. I'm not saying that's all dramas with high ratings don't deserve it and same with those with low ratings. Recently, I watched this one and the wanted detective. The latter definitely deserve more praise.

Is that me or Wang Xingyue doesn't have many kiss scenes in his dramas? I watched him in The Double, Perfect Match, Story of Kunning Palace (he wasn't the ML).
Even though this one wasn't focus on the romance. It was more on the caring side not the passionnate with the longing, flirting and sweet gestures in your face, I liked their chemistry. I would dig a romance with them as a pairing.

It went full circle. We got the purpose. Definitely, one of my favorite drama this year.

I don't mind the lack of romance it suits the genre.
Would love to see this pairing in a romance cause I think they got chemistry.
LOFG is on my watchlist. Didn't start it yet. The hype around it is big.

This drama deserves better rating. It's not heavy on the romance but the plot, cases and acting are good. To each his own but I saw average dramas on here with good ratings that didn't reflect them because they're starring an A+ pairing with fans's favorites actor/actress.

I need Liu Xueyi to pick up a drama with a satisfying ending. His latest dramas although they were engaging, the ending were lacking. Why does cdramas love to change the novel ending? Even when they are happy they gave us a sad or open ending.

Today's episodes were really good. This is all I wanted. I felt Yuanzhong's emotions. They called him a god but he is more human with feelings. They never gave him a chance when he did nothing to be treated like that. I was angry, sad for him. Like his weapons spirits and friends, I was happy when he realized there's still good people by his side who care about him and he let go.

Like you said to each his own. Tanghua and Dai Zhi scenes are dull. They can have the most meaningful dialogues but it doesn't resonnate to me because their interactions are flat. They aren't working. I fully get the drama. Today's episode didn't bring anything new except the mysterious painter and Yuanzhong's jealousy. I don't think I missed a lot.

I do love some Liu Xueyi but I can't anymore with this drama. Nothing is happening. I fast forward a lot of scenes yesterday and today. I'm sorry but it's getting boring. I wanna see some actions. The 2nd cp aren't hitting even though their premise is good. The romance isn't really romancing between the leads.

For me, TBL a hundred times. It was addictive and well executed. It's underrated because the main leads don't have a big starpower but I'm glad they were the leads cuz they were excellent and had great chemistry.
I just couldn't get into MM even though it was one of my most awaited drama. I was really looking forward to it. I really tried to love it. Keep watching it. Still I wasn't hooked. Something was off and I couldn't name it. I've come here to read the comments and see if it was worth to resume it.

I still prefer the novel's ending. With their memories and their kids.

Usually when you read a novel and watch the drama after, it can be disappointing. But I didn't get the feeling here. The drama was even better in some parts compare to the novel. It kept its essence with some change here and there. It's been a while since I watched a xianxia eagerly and really like it. The screenwriters did great. Of course the main leads were excellent. I don't get why ZBB is underrated (he's handsome, acts well). I hope to see SZN more. NXY/Fate did some awful actions (we got his pov tho) but Wang Duo played him so well that I didn't hate him that much. The supporting casts were good too. CGI, cinematography even the costumes especially when Demon Lord and MXL matched were on point. Demon Lord's wig was pretty (he was stunning).
For me, it's the best xianxia in this beginning of the year and one of the best in my book. It deserves more praises imo. I recommend it. It's a solid 9/10

Kudos to Sun Zhenni as Mu xuanling/A'Zhu. Usually cutesy FL role can be annoying but she embodied well the mix of cute,sexy, flirty,fierce FL. She had great chemistry with ZBB. I don't mind if they get cast again in a drama together.

Try to watch the 1st episode see if you like it. We all have our own taste. I'm on the beginning of MM but I'm not feeling it yet. But I've read many positive reviews.

If you wanna enjoy a cdrama, do not read synopsis on MDL or cast because they spoil everything.

I love how episode 28 explained the past and how some things come to exist. Even though he thought not being in her life will allow her to have a good one but it's his meddling to change her life that shape it and got them closer. He didn't know that Xuanling already took root in Snow city a few years ago because of his love. They were bound to meet and fall in love.

This drama deserved better ratings. I'm more hooked on it than the other ongoing xianxia. The main characters are likeable even the grey 2nd ML.

I really loved the actor and actress who played Tian qi and Yue mi in ALP. Liu Xueyi was awesome as the demon god and his purple moon. I was excited for their story but it kinda feel weird not having them reprise their role ( no offense to Bai lu and Ao Ruipeng) like for Dilraba and Vengo Gao in TMOPB and the pillow book. For now I'm not that impressed with it even though I was looking forward for it. But will continue hoping to like it in the upcoming episodes.
