I like their interactions and I don't see anything forced. At the beginning, I didn't like Hu zi and his careless attitude. But he is honest and really says whatever he wants, without restrictions. Unlike Xiaoxuan, who is stoic and doesn't let his emotions show. Although gradually, his armor is cracking, letting in his new friends for whom he is ready to defy the established rules, which he didn't do for his brother.

It's not the real issue. It's your own feeling. It's okay if you're not feeling it but do not make it a general statement.

I read some comments criticizing that we didn't have bonding moments between the characters to believe in their friendship. Sometimes all it takes is one encounter to create an unbreakable bond between people. And it happened a lot in cdramas, kdramas, TV shows,movies...I can cite for example Harry Potter with Harry and Ron. Although Hu zi annoyed him at first with his nonchalance, QXX admires his kindness towards people, his noble soul. They fought twice side by side against demons. QXX put his life in danger to save him not because they were friends but because he is a good person. They share the same values. It's the same with Xintong. What's better than fighting demons and facing death together to forge a friendship.
In The Blood of Youth, Xiao Se and Wuxin didn't spend much time together unlike with the others, but their friendship was geniune and they came to each other's aid.

They explained it on ep 14. They're born with 2 spirits but the 2 can't stay in the body. When times comes, there's a ceremony to seal one of the spirit depend on the one who unlock their family item. The sister evil spirit slowly poisoned the good one so she became weak and couldn't unlocked it. Then, the evil took over to do it. Hence the evil spirit earned the body and killed the good one instead of it being sealed in their mirror cave.

Can someone get rid of Yanran already? I really hate her. Make her lose all her essence spirit, lock her somewhere and throw the key. I can't stand her anymore.

They all deserve a good beating and I hope they'll be fully served.

Nothing happened. Really? It's a mystery, investigation drama. Where differents arcs will lead them to a bigger conspiracy and events from the past. So these cases aren't fillers.
- Yi mei is up to something with the phurba. Probably wanna bring someone back to life.
- they needed those spirit essences for their plan.
There's no suspense if they tell us from the get to go what they're up to.
I don't know what you were looking in this drama but I guess It's not for you.

Zlh is in so you can count me in. I liked The Blood of Youth and Mysterious Lotus Casebook, I'm okay with no romance. I just want a solid storyline.

It's not because the plot required but the writers did a lousy job to showcase his different facets. They only show his lover boy side. On the 1st episode,we know he had a plan to find the wufeng spy even though it was different from his father. He has different ways but some labelled him stupid because he didn't act according to certain expectations.

If you say. I don't remember him getting away miraculously from something or someone attempting to his life. The only person who tried to kill him was YWS's raven and she shield him. When he fought with GYZ in the beginning he was hurt by him.
GYZ was hurt badly but he didn't die. But hey lets nitpick about GZY because he is naive and stupid.

I remember the elder who was killed left him a lot of books when he went in his 1st trial.He may have learned a thing or two there regarding his trials. He said he liked to read and already finished the ones he previously borrowed.
This drama tell a lot instead of showing.

You don't know if the others got help when they were doing their trials. They're allowed a green jade guardian to help them. I guess there's a reason if it's allowed. But since it's the trend to trash the ML, let's not think about it.
If he became suddenly strong, you'll have something to say like he got plot armor.
It's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't situation.

I get the disappointement of some about their favs' screentime, character storyline and all. No one like their favs hard work go to waste. But honestly we can't help it here. You should express your complaints on iQiyi page and the drama's crew (director, pd,..).
In the end, it's just a drama, they'll have many opportunities to showcase their talents and for you to support them without fighting each other. Show them your love that's the best you can do.

Me and you. They all have different personalities and that's make it interesting. Otherwise 2 cold, cunning ML and FL would be boring.

Agreed with you regarding Esther yu. I'm happy to see her out of her comfort zone. Not playing the cute character but a cold, kindhearted character.Although she is smart and strategist, she hides her game with her face card,the opposite of SGQ who is sure of her power and act as the clumsy and lovely girl. She often shows superiority when talking to YWS. She started to show some emotions when she's with Ziyu.

He has all the reason to be petty. Why do you all keep forgetting that his cousins weren't nice to him. They called him a bastard and weak all his life when he was born like that and just wanted to be friends with them. GSJ went on as if GZY stole the SW from him when circumstances made him the one. How many times did GSJ and GYZ belittle him? They dug to prove he's a bastard, insulting GZY's mother integrity in the process. You want him to forgive and forget when the others are still in their shenanigans regarding him. Some of you empathize with GSJ, GYZ and how he has taken GYZ under his wing but don't mentionned how awful they were to lonely GZY.
I know some are biaised and aren't trying to understand GZY but please.
GSJ who has doubt towards SGQ fell for her lies when he's supposed to know better.
You seems to forget that lady wuji made GSJ suffered a blow previously. It's not stupid for GZY to assume he wants revenge since there's no trust between them.
GSJ, GYZ, GZS are the next in line in their lineage since they were child. They had their purposes. GZY was labelled weak. His father gave up on him and he also gave up on himself with no purpose, with no family caring for him. He lacks in many way and his good nature may not mesh with all the cunning people surrounding him. His ways may not what some expect from a leader. Not my opinion but I get some have their preferences.
I don't believe GZY only infatuated in his love affair and forgot about the whole wufeng. I don't think he is that stupid in spite of his naivety.
