Personalmente il recente format da 12 episodi non mi fa impazzire, rischia di non sviluppare in modo completo le trame più complesse o, per vicende più semplici, di tirarla troppo per le lunghe. Concordo sul fatto che l'attore protagonista abbia più chance come modello: fisico, statura, portamento, sguardo "da passerella". Ma l'espressività di un attore è tutt'altra roba.

Stessa identica impressione che ho avuto io. Prima parte strepitosa, poi un calo drastico. Diverse pecche che saltano all'occhio mentre l'estetica è a dir poco spettacolare. E' però l'estetica ad essere un capolavoro, non tutto il drama. Che non è affatto brutto, ma comunque lungi dall'essere la tanto decantata pietra miliare...

I agree. LS70s received zero promotion and as soon as it ended, it was overshadowed by the cumbersome shadow of LBTG. It's a shame because I consider it probably Chen Fei Yu's best drama, qualitatively impeccable and with a rating that speaks for itself, especially considering the poor promotion.

The cut scenes would have shown much less than the scene — in the early part of the drama — where Duan Xu takes a bath while being secretly watched by Simu (a scene that does not exist in the novel). I fear that rather than censorship, the ax has fallen from the screenwriter, who — after the first third of the episodes, which were faithful to the novel — began to insert things that were not planned and to remove others. Or perhaps the screenwriter previously worked for the censorship 🤣🤣🤣

I had the exact same impression about the kiss: the BTS footage I saw a while back was much more engaging than the final scene edited for the episode. In the BTS video, it almost feels like he suddenly interrupts Simu with a kiss—and so does the novel! - while in the episode, everything is much calmer and less emotional. Or at least, that was my impression...

Spoiler ep 30-31

For those who haven't read the novel, episodes 30 and 31 will probably still be very good. Having read the novel, however, I expected much more. The romantic declarations are fine, but a lot of little details that would have made it all more exciting are missing, from the funny reference to their wedding night, to her waking up with a hoarse voice, to Duan Xu's scandalized sister discovering them in bed together the next morning, to her leaving her artistic touch permanently, tattooing his back—at Duan Xu's request—with a plum branch and snow-covered flowers. Instead, the whole emphasis has been toned down.

The wait of 67 chapters in the novel to finally appreciate the romance between the two was worth it; the 29 episodes of the drama to see them capitulate like this in the 30th... I honestly don't know. I still find it a very beautiful drama, especially the first part, which was faithful to the novel, and I'll continue watching it because of the main actors. But I don't think I'll remember it as a masterpiece, or at least I'll always have the feeling that it could have been better...

For now, I'm afraid we won't see anything for a long time. I'd also be curious to see him in a non-romance, but I can't give up a good romance either - at least one a year - so my main hope is to have at least 2 dramas - 3 would be wonderful - a year...
