I feel bad soooo bad for her too. FOMH was her most mainstream drama. I thought it would turn her into a star overnight. Instead, she's just become a punching bag for a bunch of haters (these trolls are even threatening to boycott the brands she's endorsing ffs!)
Now, here's my controversial opinion: I am one of those who actually enjoyed the brother character because I felt he brought a bit of well-needed tension in the drama. However, let's not pretend his acting was Meryl Streep-level. He was good, that's it. I feel like WDX should have supported his castmates with a sweet post on Weibo so as to appease the rabid trolls. That would have also been good PR for him as he would have come out as the bigger person.

Totally agree! Even her most mainstream roles are not that of the typical FL, and she always delivers (which I guess also worked against her as lots of people ended up disliking her characters -and her by extension- in her past dramas).
