Really enjoying this drama right now. Happy to see Zhang Wanyi again after Are You The One. I like Ren Min and Wang Churan since Serenade of Peaceful Joy so I am glad they both got the opportunity to pair up with this awesome actor. I think Ren Min is doing a very good job here!

I have only watched till episode 26 so far and didn’t have time to catch up so what follows is my pure speculation:

- Prince harbors treacherous thoughts and wants the throne for himself
- he couldn't depose the child Emperor as he was not legitimate to do so (unlike Ziyu who, were his father still alive- would naturally have been the next Crown Prince). No one would have backed a coup to support Prince Sui due to his lack of legitimacy
- Now that Ziyu is the Emperor, Prince Sui has the opportunity to usurp the throne. Ziyu's foundation is still shaky, and many people fear he'll turn against them as they previously curried favor with Empress Dowager Wu. So, although Ziyu is legitimate, he's a thorn in many people's sides. He was also a bandit.
So, now, it will be easier for Prince Sui to gain followers for himself and overtake the throne
