Basically there is this man, Yuddy, who learns that he is adopted and pesters his "aunt" to tell him who his real mother is. In the process he engages in one affair after another with two women: Li Zhen and Mimi. Both fall in love and will be obsessed with him, while he doesn't even want anything serious with them and treats them like objects. So there is just this feeling of anguish and the hope of being able to win him over. Two other men enter the scene: one is Yuddy's friend, Zeb (the one that falls in love with Mimi), while the other is a simple policeman patrolling the street whose name is Tide (the one that will fall in love with Li Zhen). Clearly both of them will be rejected by the two women, because they are already obsessed with Yuddy. The film continues with Yuddy trying to find his mother in the Philippines and especially his place in the world. Managed to find the house where his mother lives, he didn't get to see her, because she didn't want to, so he leaves. In the hostel where he is staying he makes the acquaintance of Tide, now a sailor after realizing that Li Zhen would no longer seek him out. The film continues with Yuddy trying to get a passport to America where precisely he thinks he will succeed. Unfortunately, he does not pay his supplier and for this he will be killed. Tide, who had helped him escape, takes his place and in fact the final scene shows him getting all dressed up to go out. Instead, Li Zhen continues to work in the stadium ticket office and occasionally tries in vain to call Tide. This film really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
