Call me a horndog but I’m sorry I need more dramas like this, enough with the purity culture and kisses that lips only touching. I want to see more passionate dramas. I can no longer be convinced on producing young adult/adult dramas and they’re to shy to kiss not to talk about making out.Okay but seriously I know that people have their vices about this drama but out of all the dramas released this year when we talk about progression of plot, character development and not dragging shit out, I believe speed and love showed out excellently. While it may have slowed in some episodes every plot point was wrapped up greatly, they didn’t need to give it 40 episodes and I appreciate that. Also chemistry lol I don’t have to say much just know 10/10 it speaks for itself honestly. If you’re debating watching just watch. Ps: it’s 2025 can we please stop discussing this woman’s voice, whether it’s her real voice or not if it bothers you there’s no reason to keep commenting on it.

Well acting isn’t great but oh well I’m really here for the face card and aesthetic and it’s 10 for those so I guess I’m happy.

Finished all 15 episodes in one go, only con I can mention is that frickin idiot quan Jing ting like I cannot wait for that man to die and hopefully it’s soon. I don’t really care about the fate of the dad tbh he made his bed now he gets to sleep in it. Also I want more romance idk if it’s bcs wdbtd spoiled me with romance early on but yeah I’m craving it and the little screen time they’re getting isn’t helping. Overall great watch I hope it gets better not worse like the other fsm series

I was watching episode 1, and it was so good and so cute until she woke up from the hospital, because... huh? She woke up from a 25 YEAR coma with fully functioning body parts??? Most people can't even remember their names, but she knows exactly what happened?? I could already tell the stupidity was going to start from there, and seeing from the comments below, it in fact does.

On When Destiny Brings the Demon Aug 19, 2025
Xianxia dramas take note of episode 9🤏🏾, that’s how u stage a fake death not that bullshit where they don’t tell the fl and let her suffer 15 lightning strikes and be like “but I was going to save her soul and move to a safe place”(yes love and destiny I’m looking at you!!)

I have also queried this yesterday and was told that most of the explanation was in the early part so it seems…
Oops are we watching the same drama haha???! I don’t think the major plot point is her family dynamic, it’s shown earlier on that her family actually didn’t support her in becoming a general and all, the fml family is actually a scholar family, I believe we might get more background information later on but as viewers we have to use our brains a little bit to connect the dots it seems she aspired more to become a general after meeting xiao jue and his dad and her family went with it bcs it brought glory to the family.

Like I said in my earlier comments a lot of ppl think this is a revenge storyline when it’s really about he yan’s journey in reclaiming herself and her identity and xiao jue is a big part of her identity because he truly supports her and sees her for who she is when nobody in her life has ever done that.

Again, the reason why she’s not “grieving or suffering” is bcs she’s not aspiring to take her position in her family back, also I think she had enough time to grieve when her brother blinded her

Yes! this is exactly the point I was trying to make. I feel like the biggest plot point was always about he yan’s journey on healing her wounds from not being able to identify as herself and having to wear a mask around, she finally gets to do that and make a name for herself using her own name!! and from my perspective she gets to do that with xiao jue who she always wanted to be close with and respected his dad a lot .

Oh definitely, I understand novel readers, I learnt my lesson a while back with another drama where I was excited for a drama release so I had read the novel and watched the manhua and they completely botched the drama. From then one I swore not the read the novels before the drama comes out because you’ll always find yourself drawing comparisons wishing they didn’t change something and nitpicking details and scenes cause they’re not how u imagined it but I hope u finish this journey with the rest of us!!🤗

While I understand your POV, from my perspective I never thought this drama’s hook was about “revenge”. I feel like revenge is more the ml’s storyline while for the fl it’s about reclaiming her title as general using her own name, while obviously she wants her brother to pay for his crimes I don’t think that’s her biggest goal. I feel like after fl’s brother tried to kill her and she was able to finally live as her own self using her own name she’s acting more in line with her personality. So yes she’s more carefree because she doesn’t have to carry the burden of being someone else under her family’s watchful eye but she still gets serious when taking action as seen in ep 11. I believe a lot of people’s complaint is that they’ve read the novel and are comparing it to the drama where they’ve decided to take a different route which honestly isn’t fair to the drama but I think if more ppl went into this open minded not with a idea of how they think it should go, it would be more of an enjoyable watch.

Okay I had to turn it off literally 5 mins into ep 4, listen every other aspect of this show is great even the mystery is great but sometimes you just need to leave romance out of the story and this is coming from the biggest rom-com lover. Not only did they make Dong-ju’s character completely reckless, they also made him widely childish he’s acting like a 16 year old with a crush at his workplace for godsake. This drama definitely did not need a love triangle or romance period. I actually respect Le sang yi’s character and he seems to be the only one with his head straight even with his fear/anxiety syndrome, everybody else is just bullshitting around. Until I see an improvement this is def going to stay abandoned which hurts bad cause I love bogum and want to see that scrumptious man on my screen so bad but I keep getting an ick🥲

We’re mocking how much American media tends to favour a farce of inclusivity at the cost of creative quality.Having…
Now I don’t know what shows you seem to be watching or why my comment got you all riled up but the truth is you’re gonna keep seeing black/mexican/poc on your screen and if you’re watching a good show with a good enough directing sense you won’t have to generalize diversity in media the way you are now.

Your argument is redundant, you say poc on shows focus to much in their race/culture(even though your probably just watching a slice of life drama) but what exactly are you trying to prove? That POC shouldn’t be added in shows and if they are they’re not allowed to discuss their cultures on tv? You don’t seem to have a solution nor a real question just a general rant about diversity which leads me to believe there’s some inner work you need to do.

Fyi, since you care so much about Native American representation on tv here’s show “western” shows that feature Native American casts: Reservation dogs, prey, Rutherford Falls, dark winds etc.

Although western dramas might be sleezy and whether you like it or not I like seeing variety on my screen and characters I can connect to on screen whether through their race, sexuality or their gender and so do other people but don’t worry you’ll live.

so many incel comments under here lol. Yes, it's going to be a mess and it's probably gonna flop but all the comments about "trans" and "token black friend" is crazyyyy. It seems some only like Korean dramas due to it not featuring any inclusivity because only straight people with a closeness to whiteness can appear on their screen and be considered romantic. Imho I don't care about remakes, some Korean dramas that are classics are Japanese remakes and nobody seems to have a problem I think the only problem here is the fact that they chose CLOY to remake it's a drama about sk and nk there's no way they can recreate that when the whole plot is based on that and if they did it just wouldn't be CLOY.

I already wrote a review but I had a few questions and also some more thoughts(rants) to share.
My question is are we ever going to get a reason as to why maeda did that to seishin? I mean I get that she’s a psychopath who doesn’t really care about human lives and stuff like that but it would’ve have been nice to know how seishin ended up at the hospital.

My rant: I believe this the problem with the show, nothing is ever really given a backstory and we’re just supposed to go off a sentence. Like how did master jang and seung Jo meet, what did jang tae su do after he got turned, I literally don’t understand how hard it is to just give an episode dedicated to the backstories, god knows it would have have been better than those action scenes we can’t see.
