You're so right. Honestly, I'm not attached to any of the characters, even when General Shi was dying, I skipped watched, maybe the SML who is never there! The story is now about the predictable story of the ML. Amai and everyone else seem like supporting characters, I'm more interested about Beimo and getting closer to the truth of FL's case but no. I'm going to skip through this because I still want to know what happens to the characters but I have lowered my expectations

I guess they really have, the way he guilt tripped the guard into killing himself and the way he didn't hesitate to have Amai killed before regardless of their acquaintance. Even though, I think she acted impulsively but the way he didn't bat an eye when he wanted to kill her

Advisors like Mr Xu always annoy me because they are overly rational. No matter what they consider logic first, they usually end up ruining relationships between leads. But I will admit that they are mostly right and definitely needed by the lead. As for the romance, even though my favorite character in here is CY, just like with the ML, I don't think there was a particular build up to his feelings either. I like him the most, but I think they could do just as well as frenemies. The ML even though silly, isn't all that bad, but I still have some reservations and he's not one of my favorites. Especially when he killed Cui Yan 💔, and didn't even bother to check on the person he accidentally killed regardless of who he thought it was. I can't wait for Amai to make more progress with her revenge . Plus that emperor, I will never understand Emperors like him and the one in NIF
P.S when will Change Yuqing get more screentime! 😭

Currently the two main leads are in love and still together, as for the marriage between the SML and the FL, it wasn't really real but the SML has feelings for the FL

Exactly! It's like after he found she was female, he automatically fell in love with her. Usually in such situations there are subtle things like expressions etc that we notice before someone declares their love. I thought he thought of her as a buddy, so I was caught off guard when he suddenly started "expressing" his feelings

There's still something I don't understand. Why is she pretending to be a man in the first place, usually it's because her family was framed and accused of treason and the like but that does not seem to be the case. So why does she not use her noble status instead?
And, I know that it's mostly about her journey of being a general, but the title is "fighting for love" if the romance is secondary isn't that a bit misleading?

Seriously, I just found the main leads' relationship so abrupt. Like when did he develop feelings, when he found out she's a girl, and because she's a girl? I was also surprised when she told him about her past, it just seemed too easy. Then there was that kiss, totally unexpected . I'm on ep 14, and I really can't wait to get more scenes with the second lead 😭

I hear he's having more scenes in the updated episodes, so 🤞we'll see him more
