Title A Good Supper Spoiler
Am amazed (NOT) of the people on MDL and Soompi melting down because their favored incest couple may not be together…
I agree that the writer focused on plot rather than characters. YS's relationship can be seen as incestuous no matter who she ends up with. She has said multiple times that JH is like a brother to her, and they had a sibling relationship since childhood. I'm looking at the cancer as a way to take KS out because the majority of commenters can't approve of a KS-YS pairing, and YS has her heart set on him. If he dies, I hope she isn't thrown together with JH by default. There's nothing wrong with staying single .

So we're halfway through and I still find most of the characters stupid, selfish and unlikeable. When anything bad happens to one of them, it just seems like payback for them being an awful person. In that respect, the drama is entertaining and weirdly satisfying.

I just watched ep 104 and it's just kind of dragging. There is so much going round and round with this drama.…
I hope Young Shin and Gyung Soo end up together. Circumstances aside, no two people are better suited for each other. Also, she's never called him "father" and he's never called her "daughter". From the start, they were more like friends. I think of them as soulmates who were destined to come together. They can relocate and open a diner somewhere else if they have to. Da Jung and Oh Bok can take over the original diner. Everyone will be happy except for Jung Hoon and I'm fine with that.

I just watched ep 104 and it's just kind of dragging. There is so much going round and round with this drama. I wish more time would have been spent giving Jung Hoon some character development as he has not grown at all. Sook Jung is the most entertaining character of the series. She really couldn't get away with anything if not for everyone else's stupidity, so I can't even blame her at this point. I really miss seeing the child actors; they were the best part of the show, but I'm still finding the story entertaining.

This was basically a car commercial with a weak plot in which beloved characters engaged in questionable activities. The original series was meaningful and well written, a solid 9.5/10 for me. Vroom Vroom was at best a 5/10.

This would have been better if the main couple had more acting ability and a bit of chemistry. The story and side characters were entertaining, though.

@martar I think as long as they are not blood related, they can file paperwork to modify their relationship. I don't know Korean law, but just going by Kdrama reality, it seems that when you remove someone from your family register, you're considered strangers in the eyes of the law. Whether that's true in RL or not, I don't know, but it is portrayed that way in dramas.

I understand your point of view, though Woody Allen is completely different as he was inappropriately attracted to the children while they were still children and was criminal in his behavior with them. Young Shin has grown up to adulthood and become her own person while Gyung Soo has never had a romantic thought towards her. If he develops those feelings now that she's an adult, I can't consider it disgusting, but merely unusual (at least in Western society) for someone who played a parental role to be able to fall in love with someone they raised from childhood.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't mind if Young Shin and Gyung Soo ended up together. They have the same temperament and would probably be happier together than with anyone else. I've seen this type of relationship dynamic in other Asian storylines, and though it wouldn't appeal to me personally, I can see where it can work for others.

Title No Matter What Spoiler
So in the end, Shin Joong han (Ah Ri's father) didn't find out that his ex-wife never actually cheated on him, or that Na Seung Jin (Joon Soo's father) was the one who ruined Han Eok Shim's ice cream shop which lead to him losing his apartment since his wife had guaranteed the loan. I was waiting for him to shift the blame for his life falling apart from Eok Shim to Seung Jin, and then opposing Ah Ri and Joo Soo getting back together because of it. It would have been nice if he had had a final realization that his broken marriage was really all his own fault and that his ex-wife only got together with Eok Shim after he abandoned her. Instead of just being angry about the loan, he goes on thinking that she was a cheating wife and now she's dead so she gets no justice or redemption after all that suffering.

Other than that dangling thread and a lukewarm ending, the drama was an entertaining distraction. Loved the grandpa especially.

There's really nothing good about this drama. All the acting is bad. The characters are unlikeable. The plot is simplistic and the writing is clumsy. It's so bad, that it's actually entertaining when you're in the mood for something mindless and meaningless.

It bothers me that both girls think it's okay to use men. Young Shin may think Joon Young isn't sincere enough to get hurt, but she still shouldn't use him. And Da Jung is really crossing the line if she's seriously going to take advantage of Oh Bok's feelings. I sympathized with her at first, and I can understand her attitude towards Jung Hoon, but she's not being a true friend to any of them at this point.

The premise, characters and acting were all good, but somehow the writing was boring. I took a break after ep 12 and then finished it by watching at 2x speed.

Title A Good Supper Spoiler
Jung Hoon is so selfish, but I can see where he is socially awkward and felt too obligated to tell Da Jung that he didn't have romantic feelings for her. Of course he should have handled it better, but given his upbringing/circumstances, I can accept his stupidity. Young Shin, on the other hand, is really annoying me. She was appropriately protective of Da Jung at first, told Jung Hoon that she saw him as a brother, but when he insisted that she has feelings for him, she didn't protest. If she felt any loyalty to Da Jung, she would have firmly told Jung Hoon that he had absolutely no chance, that she really considers him a brother. Even if she liked him throughout childhood, I don't see how she can hurt Da Jung by letting Jung Hoon pursue her and break up the diner family. Out of the four kids, the two girls had the strongest and closest bond with each other and that should come first. If Jung Hoon wants to break up with Da Jung, he should, but Young Shin should not accept him. If they absolutely have to be together, they should wait a couple of years until Da Jung has moved on emotionally. Both of them breaking her heart right now is just too much.

I think that Young Shin and Joon Young have more chemistry and I'm hoping they eventually get together and she inspires him to be a better person. Then she can save her sisterhood with Da Jung. Jung Hoon should just move to the city like he always wanted and preserve his childhood friendships.

There is so much to love about this drama. The twists and turns, the lovable side characters, comedic timing and originality. Both leads had their psychotic moments, and that happens in life; but I just found the FL too immature to be likeable so I didn't really care what happened with the main couple. Still, it was entertaining enough to be worth watching.

I really loved this drama and the special effects were amazing. The acting was excellent except that Jo Bo Ah really didn't transform when it was called for whereas Kim Bum was brilliant in portraying the two extremes of his personality. I wish they had given more time to the side characters, but I guess that just shows what interesting characters they were. Also, I could have done without the ending scene. It just kind of threw a ball of confusion at me and I had to figure out a way to justify it in my own mind which wasn't a great last impression. Still, I haven't cried during a drama for a long time and this one evoked tears several times. Very moving.

In Vietnamese, "anh" is used in a similar way to "oppa" but comes before the older male's name. While it means elder brother, it's used for older males that you are close to. "Chi" is elder sister, and "Em" is younger sibling. So my friend from Vietnam, I call him anh-name. And he uses either em or goes American style and calls me sis-name.

I loved the comedic aspect of the drama, but the story started dragging in the last third as the original premise of the story seemed to have disappeared and it became a rather bland period piece at that point. I watched the last 10 episodes at 2x speed just to finish and found the endings meaningless, but okay in their quirkiness. The characters were great, though, and all the performers did an awesome job so it's worth watching imo.

I don't want to mess this up for those who are gonna watch this drama. the acting is okay so far and honestly,…
I totally agree. I don't mind an overused plot, but the writing just isn't grabbing me. The events that are unfolding are presented in such a way that they don't intrigue me or pique my curiosity at all. Just feels flat. Although I'm enjoying the acting, I don't feel any chemistry between the ML and FL. Fortunately the two male leads have good chemistry, so I'll watch two more episodes in the hope that the story will get interesting.
