Be Your Kiss (2025) is a very nice heartwarming romance miniseries with Huai Wen( as Fu Zheng Ting) and Liu Jia Xi (as Zhao Xiao Ya) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading characters, even though their intimacy was not shown, they had a beautiful sensual way to go about the romance that really showed how they felt for each other. The leading couple has great communication and their interactions are loving, mature, and supportive. Overall, if the viewer is looking for a wonderful relationship, this is the drama to watch!

This is another adaptation from the web novel "Zuo Bu Liao Ni De Xin Niang, Jiu Zuo Ni Lao Niang!" by Yong Hu. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a good rapport but there were not many romantic scenes. There are some parts of the plot that are nice additions compared to another adaptation, (Shan Hun Dui Xiang Jing Shi Chong Qi Ju E (2025) with Tao Siyuan (as Fu Zheng Ting) and Zhou Zhaozhao (as Zhao Xiao Ya) in the leading couple’s role), but the lead couple on this drama needed more romantic interactions.

This drama could’ve been better if the cast was better selected. I have not seen the male lead on MDL nor in chinesemov.com so it is possible that he is a new actor. Both leading actors are too stiff and the romantic scenes are not the best; there’s no romantic romantic chemistry and the subtitles are not the best.

Deadly Night Flame is a romance miniseries with Wang Xuan (as Zhou Li Cheng) and He Shi (as Jiang Wan Zhi) in the leading couple’s role. This miniseries is one more adaptation from the web novel "Jing Zhi Yu Ye" by Tan Qing Zhu. The cast did a decent job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a lot of sensual and intimate scenes but there was not a good chemistry between them. Although the male lead put forth some acceptable level of effort, the same can’t be said from Wang Xuan who seemed distant from the scenes and there was no warmth on her ice. Without getting too deep into China’s cultural divide, it is possible that some actors are intimidated by social norms. So far, I’ve only seen two adaptations: Zhi Zhi Fu Zhi Zhi 2025 with Ke Chun and Zhai Yi Ying and this one. Between Ke Chun and Zhang Yi Ying the level of discomfort from the leading lady was more subtle but her facial expressions and her eyes were also not as warm. Zhi Zhi Fu Zhi Zhi(2025) is a nice romance miniseries with Ke Chun (as Ximen Li Chen) and Zhai Yi Ying (as Jiang Wan Zhi) in the leading couple’s role. From beginning to almost the happy ending, Jiang Wan Zhi is threatened to leave Ximen Li Chen and, for someone that vows to trust her beloved, she caves in more than once, even when she has never stopped loving him. Ximen Li Chen has been called a stocker by some viewers but he’s just a man that is certain that Jiang Wan Zhi truly loves him so he’s not going to let her leave him again. His passionate, protective, and loving advances stemmed from the fear that she would leave him again since he knows she can’t fight the evil forces that want to separate them again. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life but some of the acting from the supporting characters was not up to par with their roles. The leading couple was great with their performances and has a great romantic chemistry. The only thing that is bothersome about this drama is that the antagonists’ use of the same tactic over and over again, which made the drama a little bit repetitious.
