It's completely subjective, first time i watched it i enjoyed it. That time i didn't know of mdl or any ratings and watched it just bcoz netflix recommended. It's a light hearted romcom basically(for most parts)
As many have pointed out this is giving some melting me softly vibes..but i didn't hate that drama - it was a comfort watch if you skip some boring scenes( also i am a jcw fan so perhaps i am biased). I think the more glaring similarity is that both these dramas tried something experimental and new and both failed badly in the ratings department AND both are studio dragon creations π€. The only thing clear to me is that for ratings you have to give something the local audience can relate to...whether it's chaebol romance, north- south romcom, countryside etc. There's a set formula and everything else will failπ...also people should stop caring about korean ratings, if you like it watch it
Sorry i love IU but i can't stand PBG, i don't like actors who try extra hard to show "how nice they are" in Public. Anyways that's beside the point i just dont enjoy his work too much...if it gets very good reviews I'll watch it
My thoughts: to put it simply-upto ep 6 it was definitely 8/10 for me but the ending is total bullshit. They should not have made player 456 so important to the story..i don't know how they want to end it but i believe s1 resonated so well because of the amazing characters and their stories...call me crazy but that's the problem with taking such highly paid actors ..things become predictable and everyone knows things will revolve around him. I would have given 10/10 if they killed player 456 at ep 1 or atleast ep 7 to make things interesting..still i would like to see how they end things in s3
Did anyone watch the night agent on netflix...both seasons are soo good...need a korean adaptation with ji chang wook opposite some good female actress π, best thing is the FL is not just a damsel in distress and actually has a huge role to play(esp in 2nd season)
Btw i don't know if it has been pointed out before...but isn't this one of the biggest budget kdramas ever on a per episode basis? Other high budget dramas like moving and when the stars gossip report 50 billion won budget but they are >16 eps , this one reports 35 billion for only 10 eps
Definitely not a fan of remakes (especially when there is already so many adaptations), but the original work,…
See this the thing some fans want the same level of mature story and scenes and others hate any kind of mature exposure (even if required for the story).. at the end it becomes a lose lose for the actors. I just hope they focus on the writing than shock value
