haha me too! I mean the drama is supposed to be light hearted and cartoony so what's the problem if it's a bit…
These twits almost always go after the woman/the actress too, and ignore the man/actor. While thinking of themselves as "feminists", on drama after drama they're screeching about how the woman isn't "acceptable" or doesn't play into their incredibly narrow values. Values, IMO, the vast majority of the planet does not agree with. It's just so tiresome.
Am I watching a different drama than everyone else? 'Cause I am enjoying this show very much...
Me too. The ones leaving negative comments though seem to be predominantly the "permanently offended". -- "teacher/student relationships offend me", "supporting Joseon values offends me", "being a feminine woman who likes men offends me", "an age gap offends me". Honestly, I'm so tired of the permanently woke and permanently offended attempting to destroy everything THEY disagree with. It's bloody annoying, and they must be so incredibly unlikeable in real life. And yep, the show is hilarious, and incredibly fun light entertainment.
lol I didn't realise the FL was the FL at first because apparently I didn't know who was staring in this so all…
Do give it a try. I'm not usually into the over-the-top Korean humor at all, but this is hilarious. It's all done in a very tongue-in-the-cheek way and, so far, is just cute and sweet. I was just in the mood for something that's simply brilliant light entertainment, and episode 1 delivered in spades for me. I like the sub plot too about the stealing of Korean historical treasures, as it's a massive problem in South Korea (and all over Asia, for that).
Not in Thailand. Lived there for 15 years, taught English in a private school there for 8 years, and there is…
It's insane in Korea. I knew Korean parents living in Thailand who were thankful their kids were going to school in Bangkok, as there is nowhere near the pressure to "excel". They always said they felt their kids grew up happier, more emotionally healthy people, who put more emphasis on enjoying their lives with family and friends, while studying with reasonable effort, rather than the 15 hour days of education so many Korean kids have to endure.
I mean, it's amazing that Korea has basically gone from a dirt poor country in the 1950s to one of the world's wealthiest in just 70 years, which is incredibly admirable, but at what cost? One of the world's highest suicide rates, and with so many people where work is their life.
Maybe it's because people have only seen sky castle so they don't know... But the education system in most of…

As long as the screenwriter is the same.. please tell me that has not changed.
Same screenwriter, but she's now co-writing it with the previous director. A bit odd :), but hopefully it will turn out fine. New director, Yuuka Eda, has a great reputation, but whether she can bring the same "feel" to the drama as Season 1, we'll just have to wait and see.
Here's the info, btw -- and sorry, I don't usually promote my own articles, but I did do the proper research :)
Sadly, the whole thing is just not funny. Watched first 29 minutes of episode one, then watched the rest of it on double speed. Didn't laugh once. Just found the whole thing annoying. A definite drop for me.
This is so boring. If a drama can't keep me remotely interested in the first half hour, it's a drop for me. Lasted 29 minutes of episode 1, then watched rest of it on double speed. Not funny, not interesting, dull. And I can't stand the female lead's character. A shame as I love Go Kyung Po, and I rarely drop a drama after Episode 1, but I'd rather watch a fly buzzing around my living room than this.

My Mister was notable for me.
So excited to watch it. Then got to the end of Episode 2 (after watching both episodes twice, as I watched Episode 1, then had no energy for Ep 2 for another 6 months) and couldn't muster any enthusiasm to watch any more. Completely uninterested in any character.
It is probably a very good drama, just not my cup of tea :)
7.8? This drama deserves more than that. I started watching few hours ago and I'm already on episode 3. Loving…

I've found some of the best dramas I've watched that had horrible MDL ratings and some of the worst trash rated close to a 9 :)
Wow, this isn't usually my thing at all, but it's hilarious in a weird and odd way :) Only on Episode 3 so far, but it's a very entertaining, fun watch. And the acting is brilliant (amazing cast too!)

Kinda sad really.
