By the way, is anyone else loving that ending theme song as much as I am?
I've been playing it on repeat on Spotify where, sadly, it has only garnered just over 9,100 plays so far. Would have thought it would have been more popular, it's so damned pretty.
Oh wow, thanks for the recommendation. Just added it to my To Watch list (and, man, that has an excellent cast!).As…
Thanks. I also have WeTV VIP and it's on there too. Actually really looking forward to this, as each episode is only 25 minutes and I've been looking for something fun that's a little shorter. Will probably start it tonight :)
i sense my withdrawal symptoms coming...what am i gonna do after tomorrow ππ
I never ever get withdrawal symptoms from a drama as I just move right onto the next one, but I'm REALLY going to miss everyone in this. Bloody brilliant all the way through.
the scene when she was teaching nan heng english reminded me of that kid and his sister who teaches him how to…
Taught English in Thailand for a few years during the decade and a half I lived there, and always used to laugh at my Thai students who butchered so many English words, including even pronouncing my name Michelle as 'Michen'.
There's just something hilarious (and very cute) about many Asians speaking English. Just like there is about westerners trying to speak Thai, Chinese or Japanese.
My Thai students used to howl laughing when I spoke to them in Thai --- "Teacher Michen, why you speak Thai like that?" - hahahahaha.
That was because this was the big reveal -- ie: who the screenwriter is.
No it isn't really though. He's the driving force behind the entire story. If he didn't exist, the story wouldn't exist either. Those scenes also served to fill in a lot of the plot holes, and to foreshadow what's coming.
Yep. He commented he "created CGH. He knew where the ginseng was for the villagers to find because he wrote it into the script. He is now "predicting" coming events because he's writing them.
He was also singing using a candlestick as a microphone. Remember, they didn't have microphones back then :) -- That was the first dead giveaway.
And don't forget, he's not actually CGH's father, he's just assumed that persona. As even CGH noticed his personality was completely different.
Dropped the light novel, the manhwa and the anime -- all were a big snooze. Will be interested to see if the directors and BWS can create something interesting this time.
After watching ep28 I realize that Nan Rui is cruel in way that a stupid child is. He speaks with utmost sincerity…
He's like the man who got dropped on his head as a baby. Clueless and ignorant about absolutely everything until, his brain dislodges itself from his stupidity for 10 seconds, and he says something intelligent :)
He's the screenwriter. That became obvious as soon as he began speaking - talked about "creating" CGH, the villagers suddenly find ginseng because he put it there, he's "predicting" everything because he's writing it, and btw, he doesn't have the same personality CGH's father had. CGH noticed that immediately.

As for ADWAD, this is quickly becoming one of my Top 5 dramas of all-time -- IF the ending holds up compared to what we've had so far :)

Brilliant job in the part by Chang Long tho :)
