Oddly, it's STILL not showing up even though their 12:00 time slot for its premiere has arrived and gone :) But now it is at least saying "Coming Soon", which it wasn't an hour ago.

Honestly, this kind of stuff is why I only subscribe to iQIYI a couple of times a year for just a month just so I can watch specific shows.

A few more hours of this b.s., and I'll be bootlegging A Dream Within a Dream -- hahahaha.

I have annual subscriptions to WeTV and YOUKU, but iQIYI is so badly run, they're more of an annoyance than a decent streaming service. And the most expensive!

It's scheduled to premiere in Europe in about 30 minutes on iQIYI, IF the statement on iQIYI's website here in Austria is correct.

It will probably eventually be on their YouTube channel, but only for paid VIP subscribers after the first episode, as that's what they usually do. And, even then, they're usually DAYS behind their website or app :)

Oh and weirdly, if I'm NOT logged in, it tells me it's dropping in my region later today. If I AM logged in, it just tells me "No results found" .

In Austria, and showing it drops later today. Pretty typical with iQIYI. Weirdly :)

It hasn't dropped on iQIYI in some regions yet. I'm in Europe, and it's showing as 'Reserved" but not yet premiered. Due later on today

It's all so annoying. So many trolls who downrate a drama without watching a single episode of it just because they hate a particular actor or are "offended" by a particular theme.

Yep. And it's actually a harem that isn't. And, if they had more than 2 brain cells shared between them, and actually WATCHED the drama, they'd know that :).

Guess they prefer to go through life ignorant, eh?

And don't even talk about the 30-plus Kdramas I haven't finished yet :) (I write about Asian dramas, so start a lot of them but then get distracted as others release) -- and it's killing me with Chinese dramas, there are just so bloody many of them, I try not to start more until I'm 'Under 5 Currently Ongoing' -- hahahaha.

Started loving her in The Untamed. Loved her in everything she's done since.

And just to prove Liu Xue Yi's epic acting skills, in the scene where he goes to drink tea at his wife's palace, I noticed straight away his tone was FAR more familiar than it was when he spoke to anyone else (and I don't speak more than about 7 words of Chinese!).

Because it was filmed from a distance before moving in, at first I thought he was at Jiang Tao Hua's house, and wondered why his tone of voice was suddenly so familiar with her? Then realized it was his WIFE he was speaking to.

His character absolutely despises his wife, it's obvious, yet as an actor he still used a familiar tone because she is the woman he has known the longest.

Liu Xue Yi's acting skills are off the charts in everything he does, from the slight movement of his eyes telling you exactly what his character is thinking right down to his tone of voice and body language. All without being exaggerated (thus inauthentic) like they are with so many Chinese actors.

I have a feeling we're in for a treat with his role in this, as he's already laid the groundwork in just 3 episodes.

I watched most of the first episode, LOVED it, and then got distracted with something else.

It's actually on my list to watch properly once I've finished the 7 C-dramas I'm already watching :), and two more I need to watch so I can write about them.

I've wanted to see it since someone said it was similar to Guardians of Dafeng, and that's one of my most loved C-dramas ever (cannot WAIT for Season 2).

And laughing at the rating. The same trolls that destroy ratings on almost EVERY Korean drama are now doing the same with the Chinese.

What sad, pathetic little lives these people must have, eh?

I haven't been able to get past Ep 15 of Kill Me Love Me. Started out amazingly well and his performance is epic, but then it goes to shit pretty fast :)

I'll finish it eventually as, along with Cheng Yi and Liu Yu Ning, Liu Xue Yi is the third of my trio of Chinese actors that can do no wrong.

All three are decent looking (lived in Asia for 15 years, so too used to hot looking Asian guys to think these three are anything more than "okay-looking" Asian dudes (although LXY is the prettiest)' :), but all three of them have epic acting skills.

Meng Zi Yi is a superb actress. Started loving her in The Untamed, and haven't lost interest since. Rare for me :)

She's excellent in this role so far.

I try not to drop a lot, especially because I write about Asian dramas (among other things) for a living. But sometimes I feel like I'm about to explode right out of my skin if I watch one second more :)

Like with The Seven Relics of Ill Omen this morning, 25 episodes in, only 7 more to go and... No. I. Just. Can't. :)

You're welcome. And I'm the same, not into the harem trope usually, but this one has so much going on under the surface a lot of what you think it means doesn't mean that at all.

I think it's going to be a really fun ride :) And Liu Xue Yi has already brought his amazing acting skills (one of China's best actors, IMO), as has Meng Zi Yi.

It pretty much describes me :) Used to work in a managerial position in a company with a CEO who would keep a close eye on me during meetings and then midway through say "Alright, we have to stop here or Michelle (that's me) is going to explode".

Attention. Span. Of. A. Flea. And zero patience. And once I'm done, I'm done. :)
