No. Season 2 is basically the second half of Season 1. It was just broken into two "seasons" due to Chinese rules that no longer allow long C-dramas.
It would be like starting any drama by watching Episode 20 and thinking you can understand.
I would also say if you're an impatient person (nothing wrong with that, but this drama demands MAJOR patience to understand what's going on, as much of it is never explained), this is not an easy watch, so may not be for you. Not criticizing. Just trying to save you some time :)
Yep. Dropped. Can't justify spending another 4 1/2 hours of my finite life on this absolute garbage. Worst Chinese drama in a long time when it comes to one that started out so well. 1/10 -- utter rubbish.
She's the big reason I dropped it. Her acting is awful, and the character is one of the most annoying in K-drama.
Both. But Bona is particularly dreadful as she has the same blank look on her face through the entire thing. I made it thru 5 episodes and just couldn't anymore :)
Dropped it after Episode 4. Over-hyped, not that interesting, acting is meh, and it's really draggy. Throw in the 'ghosts' have the worst make-up on any K-drama I've ever seen and nope.
It's struggling in Korea too. Ratings are barely above a 1.0 percent on KBS2 and, even though it's in a timeslot…
Yep, just wrote an article about it. KBS 2 dramas in that time slot are low compared to dramas in same time slot last year. Pump up the Healthy Love is particularly low rated (except not as bad as Kick Kick Kick, of course, which was a massive flop).
People were hyping this show in the beginning and now it has 7.8 rating and will go down . I was thinking of watching…
It's struggling in Korea too. Ratings are barely above a 1.0 percent on KBS2 and, even though it's in a timeslot that is historically not great, that didn't stop predecessor Who is She from doing pretty well.
Im at episode 6 and i feel your pain. The continuous whispering is bothering me. I really like the visual and…
Yep, it's the pace that's killing me as well. It's basically because the plot isn't that complicated, so it's being dragged out as slow as molasses to fill 34 episodes.
Like you said, the cinematography is gorgeous, the cast is great (except for Cheng Xiao whose one-expression face is getting on my last nerve :), and the plot is interesting. It should just have been condensed into far fewer episodes, or had a screenwriter who could write scripts interesting enough to sit through rather than 5-minute conversations two to three times every episode. Disappointing.
And thanks for the warning on Hidden Shadow. Will probably avoid. At least for now :)

Now on Ep 20 and just dropped it from a 10 to a 6 The constant talking gets longer and worse the longer it continues. Am about to watch the rest of it on 2x speed just to get it done :)
A real shame as the first 13 episodes or so are exceptionally good, but after about Episode 14 it starts to really drag as the pretty simple story gets dragged out and dragged out just so they production company can make even more money. Annoying.
And btw, the FL is absolutely useless the entire way thru. Don't even know why she's there.
Dropping this from a 10 to an 8. The interminable talking is ruining it.
The screenwriter has obviously never heard of the term 'show don't tell', so it's constant telling and telling and telling. Another C-drama that should have been cut by 10 episodes, as it would have been so much better. Man, I'm so tired of inadequate screenwriters.
EDIT: Nah, down to a 6 out of 10. Episode 20 and 21 are terrible. It just gets worse with each new episode.
I quit after 1st episode sorry!LXY's acting is very good, but he seems simply was unlucky to have so some stupid…
Stopped A Moment But Forever on Episode 28. Can't muster up any energy to go back to it just yet. Especially as they changed the ending from the donghua, so it's a bad ending too. Was enjoying it until I heard the ending had been changed. (Don't know why they do that, as it just pisses off every fan).
But Love Never Fails has to be the worse C-drama released this year. Same as you, dropped after EP1.
Poor acting, sets look like cardboard, costumes and make-up are horrible, and the plot is stupid. Directing even worse.
Dread to think how much money they wasted on this garbage. And what a shame for Liu Xueyi to waste his talents on this.
23 episodes deep and the story is still on the same spot .... its impressive how you can film 23 episodes and…
Couldn't even finish Episode 1. Literal garbage in every sense of the word. So sad, as Liu Xueyi is one of my faves. He should never have signed up for this.

It just means it's at #3 for yesterday's viewing numbers.
Plenty of dramas hit a streaming services rankings, and then end up being huge flops.
You're literally just making things up, and then when asked to back up what you're saying, you can't. Annoying.
