(10.12.2023 23:17) ups i stopped watching after ep 1 idk i just cant stay focused so drop
Likely my response too. Just finished Ep 1 and am going to give Ep 2 a go, but if it's more of the same, it's an easy drop. And I generally love slow dramas, but this one is putting me to sleep.

Going here after my annual rewatch, and suddenly saw comments about how it's boring no action bla bla. I can say,…
I usually love slow dramas but this one is putting me to sleep. Admittedly I'm only 1 episode in, but I haven't been so bored in a long time -- even while I can definitely appreciate the exceptional acting and the cinematography. Will give it another episode, but if the pace doesn't improve, it's unfortunately not for me.

No. I loved both Train to Busan and All of Us are Dead, but this one is putting me to sleep so far.

Does the direction where this is going improve as, so far, (admittedly only 1 episode watched so far), I couldn't care less about any of the people, or the plot.

Was really looking forward to it, but it isn't grabbing my attention at all.

EDIT AFTER Ep 2: Hahahaha, will probably continue watching this just because the acting is so terrible. Completely over the top and absolutely unbelievable.

Great cinematography, but most of the actors should go back to drama school.

there are lot of LGBT characters or even couples in Korean dramas nowadays... better no romance at all than making…
Sorry to disappoint you. Again. But, unlike you, the keyboard warrior supporting trans without understanding any of the problems they are causing for gays, lesbians and women, while mistakenly believing defending your position means, instead of bringing actual FACTS to the table, insulting someone is the way to go , I've WORKED for gay rights organizations all over America for over 3 decades.

Anyway, moving on. Don't have time to waste on a typical extreme left-wing, badly-educated trans supporter who doesn't understand real-life issues.

And no, I won't be responding to you again. Life is too short to waste it on fools.

Every one of my gay friends (and, having been a gay rights activist for over 35 years, I have hundreds of gay friends) is furious with the trans lobby -- as they have taken over and then set the gay movement back YEARS.

The trans lobby is also destroying women's rights as men, who suddenly decide they are a "woman" (not scientifically possible), are now starting to destroy women's sports by stealing the accolades and the first places actual biological women have worked towards earning their entire lives.

(News flash: biological women are not physically capable of competing against biological men -- even Caitlyn Jenner says that, and she used to be a man in sports).

And fact: If you support the trans lobby, you are one of the most anti-woman people on the planet. And apparently sharing the same 2 brain cells with the rest of the trans lunatics.

And sure, if trans people want to pretend they are a woman or a man, more power to 'em -- it's a free world, they can do whatever they want. But don't expect the sane among us to allow them to destroy both gay and women's rights without putting up a fight.

for me, the gap between the webtoon and the drama always highas a manga/manha/manhua reader, always better in…
Yep. I've yet to watch a drama that was better than the webtoon/manga.

Case in point, loved the BL webtoons for both The New Employee and Unintentional Love Story -- but the drama adaptations were terrible. Primarily because the actors they chose either couldn't act (cough: looking at you Gong Chan), or were not suited for their roles.

I rarely watch an adaptation of a webtoon I've read nowadays, as I'm almost always disappointed.

Same in most of the world. Few countries will air GL dramas outside America and a handful of European countries.
And, because of the takeover of the gay/lesbian communities by the trans lunatics which has destroyed a substantial segment of the general public's support for gays, there's also a backlash against gays right now (sadly), which makes it even less likely a GL drama would air.

Again? Really? How many times do I have to say this?IF👏 YOU👏 WANT 👏TO 👏ADAPT 👏MATERIAL👏 THAT…
Yep. I dislike GL, would never read it, don't watch it (big BL fan tho), but it's insane that they took a GL property and made it non-GL.

Original fans will be pissed and, as there is no heterosexual romance for typical Kdrama fans, it won't interest them either. Seems like such a dumb decision, and a waste of a superb cast of actresses.

Hopefully, I'm wrong and it's a big success as the actresses deserve it. But it won't be something I'll be watching as GL doesn't interest me, and neither does a plot with no romance, unless it's a thriller or a crime drama.

I WANT MY GL !!! 😭😭😭😭
I won't be watching it as I can't watch anything Kim Tae Ri is in, and I don't like GL. (Big BL fan, but don't enjoy GL). But... it makes no sense to me that they chose to adapt a GL webtoon but then took the GL out.
Why even bother if that's the main part of the story (don't know if it is, as I haven't read the webtoon?), as that just alienates the people who loved the original story.
IMO, it's already not going to be interesting to a big chunk of K-drama fans as there are not really any male actors in it, except older guys in supporting roles for the most part.
So why alienate another chunk of fans by removing the GL too? Crazy.

the lack of man in cast im already in love with drama before it release 🤤
Whereas it means a huge percentage of K-drama fans will avoid it, as they only tune in for the latest drama with their favorite actor.
It's not a drama I would watch anyway though. Kim Tae Ri can't act, so hours and hours of her again after sitting through Revenant and hating every scene she's in isn't something I can stomach. Plus, dramas full of women are never anything I enjoy.
A pity as I love, love, love Ra Mi Ran, but Kim Tae Ri and a cast of women makes it a 'No' for me.

It has much lower earnings than it deserves because Pro-Hamas lunatics sharing the same 2 brain cells are downrating it simply because it's based on an Israeli drama. This is how stupid and full of hate these people are -- they will downrate a KOREAN drama, and potentially destroy KOREAN actors' careers just to "get back at Israel".

I cannot detest these people enough.

low ratings because it's a remake of zionist garbage.
And this is how stupid the Pro-Hamas people are. It's not a remake of "Zionist" anything. It's a remake of an Israel drama, originally written by an Israeli writer, and then remade by an American company. An Israeli writer that has more brains and intelligence in their little finger than you will ever have in a lifetime. But hey, keep wasting your life spreading your vile Anti-Semitic hate. Bound to end well for you.

It's based on an Israeli drama, and the Pro-Hamas mob downrate anything that even has a teeny tiny connection to Israel. Can't fix stupid. Don't even try :)

And btw, yes, it's superb. Easily a 9 out of 10 for me.

I just finished watching and I don’t understand how people think it’s slow??? it’s really not, it’s just…
So many people have the attention span of a fly. And if a Korean drama isn't the usual rom-com featuring the latest "idol actor" it's "boring". It's why you should never make a decision to watch a show based on what people on MDL say because, so much of the time, they are wrong.

And btw, it's excellent. Beautifully written and acted by every actor, super interesting, not remotely "slow", and the cinematography is gorgeous.

They have to. Like Japan (and like most of the west), Korea's birth rate is collapsing. They have to fix that…
Yep. We also now have a massive illegal immigration problem (mainly with extremist uneducated Muslims and Africans that belong in the 15th century) and if our governments don't fix it, we're in serious trouble.

I'm currently in Austria, but will likely move back to Asia (spent 15 years in Thailand) if things don't improve in Europe in the next couple of years (and Austria is nowhere near as bad as places like Germany and the UK) as stabbings/rapes/murders by illegal immigrants are massively on the rise everywhere I live or travel.

Thankfully, most Asian countries will never put up with the mass immigration of people from cultures that will never assimilate into their cultures. That's why I'm considering Japan or Korea for a permanent move. Love both countries and their cultures. Happy to assimilate :)

EDIT: Just checked your bio --you're in Spain - Along with Thailand, my absolute favorite country. Freaking love the Spanish, visit at least 3 times a year -- you just need to get rid of your illegal immigrants like the rest of Europe needs to :)

They have to. Like Japan (and like most of the west), Korea's birth rate is collapsing. They have to fix that problem, or eventually their economies will collapse along with their birth rates.

The west should be doing more "propaganda" towards that as well, instead of trying to persuade people men can become women and women can become men, and that a woman can have 40 abortions if she wants. Won't end well for the west. Hope it ends better for Korea.

What's up with new dramas and big age gaps lately? Anyway, is it any good, the first episode?
Age means nothing. I've dated guys 12 years older than me, and one 8 years younger. Once you're in the relationship, it's just like any other. I think it's great Korea is so open-minded about this.

And yep, first episode was great. Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae have superb chemistry.
