Decided to check this one out today and at first it was kinda boring and slow. But then I was laughing my head off with the pick up girl scene and the three introverts trying to explain to the HR support lady what the Liberation Club is. Haven't laughed this much in a long time. 😂
I'm so pissed I've changed my ratings for this garbage drama from 9 to 6 ,,, the ending is an epic fail The writer…
Totally agreed. Scratching my head on this ending. Not sure what the writer is hoping to accomplish going with this type of conclusion. Not worth the angst.
haha yesss! maybe this is why i love it so much, it has something for everyone to love about it :) it's the perfect…
Exactly! After Nothing But Thirty I thought nothing could top that one but this one has so many more facets to it - just like you said - something for everyone :D
Simply a must watch! Truly amazing drama with a little of everything:- traditional family, modern family, dysfunctional family, friendships, relationships and love. Keep a tissue box close - you will need it.
Just watched the first 8 episodes and I'm so glued in from the first opening scene. Surprised to see such low rating for this drama so far. If you like medical dramas, this is a must watch.
Totally agree with you. :) I love slow burn romances, especially when people surprise you and you fall in love…
Same here! Can't remember the last time I watched Western shows (except when I'm on a plane and there's nothing else to watch). But I'm still a sucker for period dramas from UK. :D
Totally agree with you. :) I love slow burn romances, especially when people surprise you and you fall in love…
Totally agree with both of you. I'm also a fan of the quiet, unassuming , self-aware male lead. Gotta to say all the actors in this drama's rock solid. Loving the subtle romance between Ae Sin and Eugene where chemistry, unspoken words and glances say so much. Can't wait for next week :D
Can't agree more. Prefer him in his usual alpha male roles. Just finished Mr. Right where he played a confident dentist/matchmaker in the beginning and then withered away to a super nice, self-sacrificing guy with practically no self-esteem in the end. :(
I watched the first ep (for the sake of PHJ hehe) but the female lead annoyed me too much to continue :////
Still watching but gotta agree with you - not that crazy with the female lead thus far. PHJ, the bromance and quest for the wood carvings are the reasons I'm still glued to this one :D
Absolutely agree with your list. Awww... still remember Kim Bum and Kim So Eun in BOF. Years since I watched this show but their chemistry still haunts me. Also loved Jo Jung Suk and Lee Yoon Ji in King2Hearts. I cried so much - a love so short lived but memorable.
I love kdrama but there's certain genres that make me cynical and medical kdramas are always a disappointment…
I'm so invested in this drama. The cast is simply amazing and same as you my first time watching Han Suk Kyu and he's the star of the show by far. Such powerful acting, subtle and yet delivering so much in just one gaze, one smirk, or one line.
Great list and so on point. But as Purplenette pointed out, these are what make kdramas and why we watch and become addicted. They make us want to emotionally engage - whether to love or to hate them. But of all the above, I'm definitely not a fan of the weak, female lead. I want my female protagonist to have a backbone!
Spectacular beginning! Pre-produced definitely has its advantages but gotta give it to the entire crew. Expectations were sky high but so far they've delivered!
