The alternative would be to keep him in the dark, not involve him and only focus on her past love? From the get-go the FL was honest and shared her feelings and her "what-if thoughts" with him and gave him the opportunity to deal with it which he did, very healthy but complex dynamic. Regardless of what her husband being in the know and being in the bar, the lingering feelings and thoughts still arose in her and needed to be processed, and she chose to do that with her actual partner.

How were they supposed to be more thoughtful? I think it was probably portrayed more in a healthy way than I have ever seen. The husband made his feelings, doubts and fears evident without forcing any kind of decision or action but gave his wife room to work through what she needed to.

He does not play a bad guy at all, not that kind of drama

How ironic, he wanted her to become more mature and realistic, now she made a decision that her past idealistic self never would have made...

That´s the reason why they chase him in the end, the entire two episodes was about him getting attacked by dudes who have seen first hand what he can do.

Hmm, I know most of the time gangsters are not depicted as very smart in dramas and movies but I gotta say, those have to be among the dumbest gangsters ever, why would you constantly go against an invincible guy.....

I think Part 1 will end with them acknowledging their feelings fully for each other and ending up being separated due to outside forces.
One small critic would be that it is not sufficiently explained why Jang Hyun joins the Crown Prince to go to Simyang. It´s understandable that he wants to get way from Gil-Chae for a while but why he puts himself into danger for no apparent reason seems out of character but it might be explained with his past, there was one hint of that at least.

It´s good so far, nothing new for Western audiences but new for K-Drama.

Calm down :), most people only vote once a drama is actually finished which is the only way to rate anyway if you ask me.

They are going to explain it later, it´s a setup for tragedy and thus is supposed to keep the viewers on edge.

He was unconscious, that was the last thing happened when we cut away, another guy died on top of him.
Anyway, I actually like the approach the writers are taking. Of course he was as naive as the other guys, but now that he has seen the horror and still not backed down, very good, not the usual second main lead bad guy so far.

I am surprised that a public channel shows this much blood, the scene of the guy bringing the fake hostages getting his throat cut was a surprise.
