There have been suggestions of a physical attraction. One of those examples, is on episode 5 when they are watching over the salt merchant, they hold hands and look at each other in tenderly and shocking fashion. Also throughout the drama San seems to get flustered when Won gets near her. In episode 1, they got close together by accident when San fell after the bridge broke down. So far there is no concrete evidence, but there are suggestive scenes. Which I think is saying a lot, because San grew up as a boy, and seems to be comfortable around others of her opposite sex.

I'm loving this drama! Even though I know how the novel ends, the drama seems to be going on a different route. It is as if there is an actual balance between the two male leads. Rin gets the second lead situations, that are protecting her without her knowing, not coming forward, and always giving way to the other lead (Won). Meanwhile Won has the second male lead actituded, he is very straight forward, and goes out off his way to make her happy, comfortable, or have more time together. Also the posters seem to be very symbolic. San seems to have a physical attraction to Won, or maybe crush symptoms. While she seems to have a deeper connection with Rin. It is not uncommon, specially in historical dramas, that a lead likes a person at first, but later develops other feelings for another person.
