In the middle of the story. I heard others say that it's probably around episode 29 or 30 in the drama. It's quite a dramatic peak of the story.

In the novel, she didn't truly go all out to fall in love with Jing totally until he risked his life to save her and wanted to die when he thought she was dead.

Yeah, that seemed unreal! Like there is no emotional/physical trauma response? It's one thing to forgive, and it's another to be hanging out like friends and family again.

No way, I can see them fighting until the death, at least with Cang Xuan, he's possessive and selfish. I can see XL and Jing do not mind sharing as long as XY is happy LMAO (I mean they both kinda share her attention up to this point.) They both know that she is seeing them both ha ha... it would send most men up the wall.

I don't think Jing refused to kiss her back because she has someone else on her mind, but because Jing doesn't feel worthy of her yet. He's still bethroted to someone else. He's not single and free by old world standard. Jing is a gentleman, he would never violate such boundaries. Just as XY wouldn't kiss XL because she promised Jing to not let any man into her heart for 15 years.

Much later when Jing and XY had a falling out of relationship, it was then that XY is receptive of kissing XL.

Righteous people in stories usually keeps their words or promises.

According to the novel, he only murdered his father and five brothers to get the throne. Yeah, pretty nice ;)

It isn't a legal marriage if it isn't consummated. XY's mother seemed devoted to her father the whole time (according to the book), not the king of Haoling. Their deal was "no sex" and "name and appearance only" marriage. XY's mother conceived her with her father while being married to the king of Haoling.

I don't think XY's mother can be considered an Ex, since they never had a romantic relationship, just a political deal (in name only marriage).

He's afraid of the lovebug backfiring on the spell caster, if the person being casted does not have love towards XY. He wasn't aware of XY relationship with CX yet.

Honestly, after today's two episodes, I'm noticing how no one other than XL can protect XY. The other guys just fail miserably to protect XY. In the shot where XL realizes XY's hands were tortured because he felt it and got pissed off, saying "The fox is useless" (referring to TSJ) tells it all. XL never failed to protect her. It made TSJ's character seem spineless and helpless. I'm all for TSJ's affection and devotion, but he just couldn't protect XY like XL does.

XY's relationship with 17 is very different than with XL. One is gentle and safe which makes her heart flutter in a different way. The other is rough and passionate, which probably makes her wants to swear and says uncouth things like a trooper. I can't see her being embarassed the same way around XL for that reason, she acts rough with him like a sailor.

In the novel, XL licks her neck after he sucks her blood to heal the wound. That's why it looks like a hickey. Xuan was woken up when he got the love bug in him. He feels his neck being bitten and licked with an arousing sensation when XL bites XY in the water. Xuan was wondering how XY could be having sex after all that injury. Even he knows that's sexual arousal feeling. I'm sure XY feels it every time XL bites her neck. That's hot!

With 17 it's anticipation. With XL, it's not a mystery anymore, she's aroused and readily opens her neck to let him bite her.

So true! Where were you when a guy like this hit on me this way? I was so annoyed.... not a good way to get someone to like you.

The fact that very early on, XL chooses to be around her and sleeps in her room to recover from injury. He could have drunk her blood and left her to a safer place. While recovering from injury, he was incapacitated, which allowed her to draw on his face and make fun of him. It's telling that he already instinctively trusts her more than he realized. I think he's more pissed that she made him realize that fact than her drawing on his face.

Pretty sure she would do the same if XL was around beautiful women *hint*. It's very possible that people can have romantic feelings and attraction to more than one person at a time.

I think this is pretty evident in the novel, although the novel was written from XY perspective, the fact that XL kept making excuses and deals with her to spend a lot of time around her is really evident he couldn't keep his distance from her. I think of all the MLs, he spent the most time enjoying the world with her (like going on so many dates).

I think they played up XY and XL relationship in the drama at this point up to the 14th episode. It wasn't as apparent in the novel. Their relationship in the drama made me think that if XL confesses his love and what he did for XY (especially the love bug), she would jump into his arms in a heartbeat at this point. TSJ is devoted to her but he doesn't make her feel the same way as XL, he doesn't make her feel so understood. She travelled and experienced the vast open sky and depth of the ocean with XL, if he didn't blow hot or cold and be so restrained, it would be so obvious he's taking her out on dates. XY and XL are truly soulmates.

A part of me kept wondering if XL confesses his love to XY, she would take him in heartbeat. She had being through all the toughest experiences of life, she doesn't care for the external stuff that status and riches offer.

She felt ashamed as a child by her mom and abandoned by her father, that's why she didn't want to see him.
