can someone please tell me the ending? was it similar to the movie?

it was really good and i don't want to complain about the sadness in the end..cuz it was realistic and i like that..but i feel something is missing..that ending was not complete...i was so ready to weep but those emotions were stuck somewhere cuz they didn't it complete it..may be i had high expectations that this would be similar to the other dramas from the writer..
but overall it was a good drama and worth watching.

just got to know there was a general named KIM YOO SHIN in korea..and our goblin real is KIM SHIN .XD :P

why did kim shin said he couldn't see eun tak's future even though he saw it when they met at first time?didn't he realize that or ignored it?

umm well then .let me repeat it..
even though i strongly believe that the story doesn't deserve 1.lets just leave the story cuz every individual has their own taste and could be "super disappointed" ..fair enough..
thats why everyone had the option to drop it if it was not their type...cuz no one forced to watch it...

So here what i'm telling is apart from the story there were many things you could appreciate..
so lets just say you "had so much expectations and ended up super disappointed" but wasn't there anything you could appreciate ..wasn't there you enjoyed ? i'm sure NO ONE can say that with a honest heart.

I don't understand how this deserve 1 ...i mean even if you totally don't like the story there were many things which do not deserve one... for example the OST..there were some songs you could feel/enjoy even without the drama..and those beautiful sceneries..the cinematography ...all of them were really good and THEY DO NOT DESERVE 1

No one was forced to watch this ..so if you don't like it just ignore it..
It's like you follow a random stranger just to shout and tell that you don't like him :D

So today im in my normal self again after wasting entire Sunday thinking about it..
from the moment i finish watching finale episode i had a heavy heart,,,i kept thinking about that since i was so attached to this drama....but now i understood the story sensibly and realistically..may be its too much for a random drama..but i couldn't help it.

so what i realized is even it is sad for us to see kim shin waiting years again and again for eun tak's reincarnations ..for him its a reward(just like he said while dying) cuz he meant to be a lonely god who has to be the guardian for people in need...but since he can meet eun tak once in a while its a reward for him..or else he also had to live like the goddess of birth with no lover..LOL
Waiting is something he is really good at cuz he is used to it for 900 years
And though it showed him as a emotional character he is strong in heart..he was able to forgive the the king who made him to stay immortal..and instead of taking revenge he calmly thought about what almighty told and solved the question he gave,,,which made peace for everyone.
SO IN EVERY PERSPECTIVE HE IS A GOD WHO IS MEANT TO BE A LONELY GUARDIAN.(BUT REWARDED WITH A LOVER).
so ultimately it is a happy ending for a lonely god..

And separating Grim reaper and sunny and others from him was also the destiny or fate...not every person get that opportunity to meet their loved ones when they reincarnate..but kim shin is lucky cuz he can watch them from far and would be able to help them if they are in need..so in that case wangsun couple also lucky cuz they have their own GOD who protects them always..

i just wrote this to heal the hearts that are suffering cuz i ve also been there..i was so disappointed and went to the point to dump it as another random drama.but after i looked at the story in this way i just came back to the point where i can appreciate the story so much..
Cuz i never had a disappointment with the cast..that was brilliant!(not even with the kim go eun like most of the people,..cuz she played that immature annoying character very well:P and then the depressed person ..she was really good..)

ohhhw now i get it ,,,,i mixed up the two scenes..what she meant was that she saw him in that building when she was 29 not whn she was in school..my bad. :P

i know what you mean..i spent one day thinking about that with sad heart...i was not ok with that bitter sweet. Eternal sad love story ..but now i realized about goblin who has to wait again and again cuz thats how he is...even we concentrate on their love story only. its not just that..its about the another god..like shamshin..goddess of birth ..she didn't have a lover..she is always there taking care of kids...just like that goblin is a god..he is a guardian for the people in need...even the title says "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God"
So meeting eun tak as his lover is just a reward for him..(as he said)..meeting her is not the purpose of his existence..he meant to be a lonely god....SO EVEN IT WOULD KILL US SLOWLY AS HUMANS, IF WE HAD TO WAIT LIKE THAT...HE WOULDN'T CUZ HE IS A GOD AND USED TO IT.

And about not ending it all of them together is also shows the reality..we don't get that opportunity always to reincarnate together...its goblin who at least could see them from far..he will take care of them as a god but he won't interfere in their life again..just like he only helped his loyal lieutenant ..by giving a good job apartment and all..

And about eun tak in her new life ...i don't think she remembers all those things..she just feel the connection..like sunny and grim reaper did without knowing their exact past life..she might just have dreams about Kim Shin only as her past life lover so she just recognized him..(even after that 9 years leap she just felt some connection with him without remembering their moments)

And deok hwa should be that old man ..

anyway that's how i made up my heart and mind after getting hurt by watching it..i looked it as a real story not as a drama..since i was attached to it so much..as a real life thing i tried to be pragmatic to understand it..
but may be you might not convinced like that..cuz if we see it as just another random drama..we need a happy ending..and we need that to disregard all the ugly things where we can see in real life..we just need sweet things..
so in that perspective you can just underrate it..its your choice..:)

i have the same problem..he said he saw her during some 12 th king reign...and then eun tak asked 'ohh so that was your appearance during joseon era" (right b4 he proposed her)
so did she also see him in that traditional dress when he was talking about that smart phones and all..???? im all confused

yeah i hoped that since even in airport she said that and when she died other people said she might be an angel...so i thought she will comeback as angel from that door,.but no..she left our shining goblin all alone for 60 years.
