I know a lot of people were not a fan of this drama, I loved it however, this show reminded me of the mortality of life (yes I know we watch drama to escape but sometimes it's good to watch ones that'll have you reflect on your life) and how you should live every moment to the fullest, not to waste time waiting for someone or something to be yours, follow our dreams even if we are afraid, to invest in good friendships (I really envy the three ladies friendship honestly would love that for myself) and eat good food, explore the world, so as to feel fulfilled when leaving it. Honestly this drama reduced me to tears

I agree with you I can understand about Segi having a complex for sure but segi isn't an instructor so so want to be number one for me where he's not the face (I don't see it) if he was an instructor that'll make sense because not only did he help build Gotop he's making money from it too, so to want to hurt his bread and butter is silly to me, because the other instructors are tragic from what've we've seen so far. Plus it's too predictable.

This is a life drama, a drama where the ladies know themselves they aren't to unsure of anything they've grown together, at this age your confident your money is up and you don't take crap from anyone, you've learnt all about yourself and you're still learning but life is better at this age and the suddenly boom the morbidity of life shows up. Honestly this can happen at any age but you're more aware of it as you age more and more. For me this is the gem in this story, I'm more invested in them as women and their friendship than I am in Min Jo's love life. I feel so much for Cha Young and know there's diverse opinions on Jin seok I understand both sides but for me it's the wasted time that's the lesson Time never to be gotten back. I want to see more of Joo Hee and see her finally have a whirlwind romance she's so sweet warm and honestly so adorable. I'm definitely more invested in her. Honestly can't wait to see how it unfolds much more.

I've been reading some comments but here's my 2 cents

CW - "happy" being alone as a child got used to it only to get into a relationship and never felt really alone, again. Then has gone through the trauma of being left all alone again, without a proper explanation and so in the end locks himself away, develops insomnia, works till 5 years have passed. Yet he feels it's reasonable to want YS in his life rather than without, however he is scared because he still clearly loves her but does not want to go through that unbearable pain again hence his suggestion let's be friends we've never actually just tried that. Basically he is not allowing YS to make decisions for him.

YS - has had it pretty tough, was traumatised by what others said when she was young, which is where I believe the inferior complex came in due to her family background, so she works so hard from that point on in her studies, then she meets CW the only person that never went away, loved her unconditionally but yet never said those words although his actions showed it.

Thanks to all the comments that highlighted her love language was words of affirmation. She needs to hear she is loved.

However she has trouble sharing her life and communicating what is going on in her life due to the walls she's built to CW (why I would love your opinions on this because if I was with a partner for 5 good years I would reckon it would be hard to hide how you feel for so long and not be able to share it with the one person you love so this part confuses me)

So in the end breaks up with CW due to it being the only thing in her life she had control over. She loved him but she couldn't share with him her pain.

JW - suffers from abandonment issues, he's been constantly left by his mum who shows up and leaves when she wants but some of his happiness comes from CW and his family.
His love for YS to me that spans over a period of 10 years could be due to this lack of Maternal love in my opinion but who knows because in my opinion to not be able to let go at all even with the lack of interaction they've had over the years (he actively avoids her) is something alright. Maybe we don't know the reason yet he still holds on because the maths is not mathing

NJ - contrary to opinions I really like her, yes she has issues due to being popular (trolls and what not) she takes comfort in her communication with CW, with her what you see is what you get, she'll tell you when she's hurt, when she's happy, she communicates effectively.

I am not shipping NJ & CW together please don't get me wrong it's just a difference I've noticed.

I laugh only because this is so true when FOE was airing, I guess some people don't go past the surface level to really think in others shoes unfortunately.

Shadow beauty short but sweet in lessons of not loosing yourself in the process and that there's nothing wrong in being authentically you. You are beautiful and there is only one of you uniquely in this world. What a refresher. Sad that we didn't have more episode but this drama did what it was supposed to do.
