In the end it was all about greed...
In the immortal (pun intended) words of emperor Palpatine: "Power! Unlimited POWER!".

I know that preview is deceiving us Mark isn't going to turn on Tong right?
Pretty sure he'll pretend to be playing along with Thara's plan / official version of why Tong is behind bars - waiting for an opportune moment to strike. He should kill Nakan though - to avenge Tonkla's death and avoid Thara's suspicions.

wait until they all drop. then pay for a one month sub and binge it. I think it's like 12$. good luck!
That's a reasonable plan, actually. For what IQIYI calls "Monthly Standard Subscription" I pay 6,99$ - and the subscription can be cancelled any time.

7.9 doesn't objectively reflect the quality of first episode, it's far better than Cutie Pie that's for sure,…
Not sure I can agree that "people hate well done shows"; I think MDL rating is more about a general feel regarding a show, which can be influenced by many factors - cast, performances, plot, script, editing, production etc. People can like a show full of production shortcomings if this is overshadowed by other, good/positive aspects of the show.
I'm also not sure a 7.9 rating, especially now, indicates "hate". This is, after all, a scale from 1.0 to 10.0. One could argue that every rating above 5.5 - the middle of the scale - indicates that positive rating outweight negative ones. That being said I do realize that most people don't share this approach; when they like a show - they give it a 10.0 or 9.5, when they dislike it - they rate it far below 5.5. Quality of the show seems to have little impact on that. And while ratings from show reviews don't contribute to the overall MDL rating, they do reveal that:
- people "reviewed" the entire show just after ep. 1 (out of 14),
- most of them rated it at 10.0 (when I'm writing this comment there are 62 reviews of the entire show submitted, with just 2 of them giving it a rating lower than 5.5 and more than 50 review rated the show at 10.0).
Rating or reviewing a show after just 1 episode aired is crazy, so a 7.9 at this stage doesn't seem to mean a lot. Could it stay like that, because those who already rated the show won't change their rating when more episodes will air? Sure. Is it something to be worried about? Don't think so. At the end of the day, the rating is just a number. Even if it would correctly reflect a general attitude towards a show (which I doubt it actually does) or the show's actual quality (which it most certainly doesn't), it would still be just a number. There's a bunch of BL shows that I like with ratings that - in my mind - don't reflect how good the shows are (same goes for shows I dislike); can't do anything about it, see no reason to be bothered by it, won't that affect my opinion (or rating) of a show.
Sorry for the long comment.

Wait, did this episode have plot? Mark was in a bathtub and then boom my brain was broken
Well, the episode started with Mark and Tong in bed and ended with Mark and Tong in bed... There's a blur in between, but there must have been something. Possibly about vampires.

FEED published a 32 minutes long interview with Mark and Ohm, available with English subs on FEED's YT channel. The interview's tone is quite serious, both Mark and Ohm say a lot about themselves and seem to be candid. No jokes, no quips, just the two of them talking for half an hour.

Was there or will there be a "special" or "0" episode preceding the actual series? GMMTV usually (albeit not always) produces and releases "specials" meant to introduce a new series, its characters, cast and crew. I don't recall seeing anything like that for "Boys in Love" and got a bit confused about the series' release date: either the proper show will start airing on 20.04.2025 and there was nor will there be a "special" OR there will be a special on 20.04.2025 with the proper series airing a week later. Which one is it?

not even another episode aired and people are already complaining on episode 1i think people need to watch more…
Problem is people don't seem to share that opinion. Restraint is entirely absent - and the option to rate/set score of the entire show before it airs in its entirety (or simply once ep. 1 aired) doesn't help that. Same for reviews - so far 17 reviews of the show as a whole were published, which is simply ludicrous (compare that to mere 3 "reactions" to ep. 1).

Yeah, that "Don't come closed than an arm-lenght" didn't age well. 😁
Same with "we need to keep a 5 m distance".

BL units of measurement:
"ThamePo" - 5 cm distance
"Last Twilight" - one palm distance
"My Golden Blood" - arm's distance

SurfJava have started filming https://fxtwitter.com/MUTELUVSeries/status/1902267717031194924
I'd say that explains why the OhmLeng split and recasting had to be announced now. I was pondering the question "why now?" and assumed it was either due to something that happened recently or due to something that was about to happen - like filming "Only Friends 2" or "9 Temples?" about to begin. Looks like GMMTV had a "now or never" moment.

TBH it’s not as good as I thought it would be. I’m on episode 7 mind you but so far it’s dragging and seems…
Unpopular opinion, but it's what bothered me too - not enough BL stuff in this BL. In case of some episodes the BL content felt like an addition to the boy band/idol content. I guess they had to compromise - having an actual boy band as their cast. I'd say "Only Boo!" used the idol-related content better - in service to the main plot, which was a classic BL one, and not rivaling or replacing it.

A business is all about making money and staying profitable. Just because a Korean company wanted one member and…
In ep. 2 Thame explains the situation between ONER and MARS to Po, which is shown through flashbacks. In the first one Pemika shows Thame that MARS' first album didn't sell well and generated a loss for the company amounting to 38.831.500 THB (with total costs of 60.004.500 THB). This is also the start of Thame's "rabbit hole": ONER produces his first solo single (Pemika tells Thame that this will help MARS' popularity), later signs a solo contract with him (again, Pemika asks Thame to do this for the sake of the band) and even later plans to sell him to Korea. Even if Pemika's explanations for those decisions may seem false and self-serving, the fact that MARS was unprofitable is never disputed nor questioned.

will the song they sing during stage be released?
That's a good question. I kept checking whether a MV for that song pops up on GMMTV Records (like it did for all the remaining songs used in "ThamePo") or Riser Music, but so far - nothing.

Within 2 years he portrayed the father of two different characters named "Joke" in two separate BL series directed and produced by the same people:
1. in 2023 in GMMTV's "Hidden Agenda" - his character's son was portrayed by the handsome "Joong" Archen Aydin,
2. in 2024 in YWPB's "Jack&Joker" - his character's son was portrayed by none other than the remarkable "War" Wanarat Ratsameerat.

Kongthup Production should create MDL profiles/pages (no idea what the correct term is) for at least those cast members who have been revealed so far. Top Sumethee Mettaworakun and Arm Chaiyapat Jampasin don’t have those and can’t be added as cast members of "Doctor's Mine".
On ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat Feb 26, 2025
The number 13 is often considered cursed or connected with bad luck. Despite of that I have a feeling that the number of episodes of "ThamePo" - which is 13 - will be a lucky one, connected with a happy and satisfying conclusion of the show.
