I just finished watching the drama and I really liked it. I recommend for those who like a well-developed plot with romance, character growth, strategies and hints of mysterie. Scent of Time is an excellent drama with good acting and chemistry between all the characters.
Although the final plot could have happened earlier, perhaps in EP 28, allowing for better development of the story and characters. I agree with some comments that the end seemed rushed, but I believe which was because everyone realized that there could be much more.
The story is captivating, intriguing and the actors for each character were mostly well chosen. Sometimes I catch myself thinking how some actors don't fit a role. But that doesn't happen in Scent of Time. Wang Xing Yue and Zhou Ye They were perfect in their roles, especially in the last episodes. I can imagine the emotional charge they felt when playing some scenes.
Also we can see the different facets of each character, the positive and negative side of each one, and the different relationships between parents and children, masters and employees, friends and enemies and is interesting how the drama shows us different types of love. From unconditional love to selfish love. Love between brothers and sisters, between friends and family love. In the end, comes to the conclusion that no way of loving is better, more important or small... It's just love.
I'll give it 9/10 for missing the chance to show a more detailed journey of HQ in the development of the final plot.
Maybe I'll only watch it after the subtitled episodes, I'll watch the first 4 episodes and I'll be traveling between September 30th and October 8th so I'll be 4 episodes late. How many episodes are there?
Sorry, unfortunately the system did not separate the comments. But it's Lost Romance. It was at the height of the pandemic and the drama was a relief in those bad times
Do we ever see ML being shown as being in love with 2FL at all?All their interactions that we see are bland. He…
Mooc, you have a good point 🤔 There may even be an explanation for their relationship in the next episodes. But I understand the disappointment that many people know how the drama is developing , because we don't have a clear definition of feelings or because he doesn't put an end to the relationship with the SFL. Although I also think that the SFL's behavior is not just to validate the ML's betrayal. It has more to do with FL than him. The whole thing about stealing her boyfriend was explained, and now it's been used by her again and not to mention that the guy she's seeing. Does anyone know who he is? Is he her high school boyfriend? I confess I didn't pay attention to him. But if he's the boyfriend from the school mess, there's a heavy story behind it, as SFL resumes her friendship with FL after she have discovered the truth about what happened supposedly only after met him recently.
I love the scenes with the ML’s mother. She is a breath of fresh air.
The way her husband treats her is horrible. I think she really likes him. In fact, I think the husband is very strange. He doesn't even care about his wife's feelings and treats his son like a 3 year old and he decides his son life without taking into consideration what he thinks.
Would have maybe been loving this drama if the ML had broken up with his gf much earlier. Its very hard to enjoy…
I'm going to defend ML on this point because he broke up with her but was ignored by her. When he talked about his feelings for FL, she simply told him to break up with FL regardless of how he felt. It was like saying it's okay for you to love her, but you have to stay with me. She seemed possessive, not a woman in love. But it also bothers me that he doesn't take more decisive actions to end the old relationship and start fresh with FL.. He always seems to have no mind of his own when it comes to the SFL.
So, apparently, the strange guy that followed HJ in the dark alleyway near her house is the same person, who has…
I think it's plausible and you have a similar theory to what Shy has. Her comment is the next. But seen another way. And the two comments end up complementing each other.
Ya'll I think there's more to the story than we think. Right now it's confusing because we're just seeing and…
Interesting your theory Shy, I'm going to review some episodes. Because I wondered at the time she mentioned telling NY about the spell, why do they go around talking about it to everyone?
All my ongoing dramas are teenager right now as they are all stuck in their angsty phase hahaha, I think i should…
Today's ep left me a little confused. And the fact that several situations were not concluded helped a lot. I'm liking how RW is playing his character. I love coldness and passivity one moment to emotional and intense the next. HJ she still denies it, but she knows that the attraction to SY is growing. And at the same time, the passion for SML gives way to companionship. But some ends have to be cut or joined soon. His romance with the mayor's daughter makes no sense. I didn't do it before the whole magic thing. And leaving HJ as the culprit isn't fair.
I wish he had properly broken ties with Na Yeon. They didn't show what they said to eachother in the car and if…
This is one of the things in the drama that makes me wonder, what is the purpose of certain characters' actions. From what I remember, he breaks up with his girlfriend when he realizes that the illness is getting worse, without telling her the reason for the separation. But the GF keeps returning and forcing situations such as the marriage proposal. It wasn't clear to me whether he accepted or refused.
The father joins his girlfriend and they set the wedding date, where the ceremony will take place and all the details without communicating to the most interested party "the groom" why? And when he questions this, the GF leaves it to the father to answer. What is the connection between them? Why does the father want to force the marriage? So he can have a child before he dies?
The whole plot is a mess, with FL interested in SML, who has already realized that her interest may not be a deep feeling (I agree with what many wrote here. He is domineering and increasingly thinks he has the right to act and decide for her) and the SFL forcing a marriage even though she has a romance with another guy. And the ML who apparently knows what he wants, the FL, but doesn't care about properly ending the relationship with the SFL and accepts what her father and she do without complaining. Sorry, I haven't been able to record the names of all the characters yet.
Seriously there should be an option where you can slap all this dammed biatches in dramaland. That witch has the…
Hi friend 😊! You could see that the slap was coming. I never believed that apology. SFL has a character problem. If She mentioned that ex BF had told the truth about the betrayal case , why now she criticized FL saying that she was acting like before. It is clear that her regret was not true. It was just a way to get closer to FL because she saw the two of them together before. I also think that as ML stated the feeling for FL made her angry, it's not love. It's just the fact of not wanting to lose to someone she considers inferior
Welp if only the last 10 eps had been so nice and peaceful like the ending one (at least if you skip all delulu…
The writer missed the opportunity to create a beautiful story with Hee, her son and uncle. Just like for CM and Soo Jeong, they deserved better treatment as the couple who wants kids and faces difficulties. I would like them to, in the end, have the opportunity to raise a child and not just babysitting children for others. It would be interesting to see them adopt a child. Another thing about this couple, they were a real couple, they supported each other, they discussed problems. There was complicity and love between them.
Lol they constantly did that to each other. Last thing was TK deciding the fam register removal on his own...…
I agree with you about the chemistry or lack of chemistry between the leads, just watch the clip with scenes of the two interacting since they met, at the end of the episode that replaced the preview. It's easy to see that something happened in the drama's script.
Whether it was due to the writer, director or personal problems, I can't say. But the couple at the beginning had more body contact than the married couple at the end of the drama. And they seemed to be more comfortable when they hugged.
Ooh and the airhead couple, managed to reach the end of the drama without the romance between them being discovered, impressive.
Are you commenting on Destined With You too?I haven't seen your comments yet, I'll check later.I'm going to speculate…
I am not commenting too much there, I think I did one or two comments so far. I think the two actors have a lot of chemistry. And I think so much he does the role of the passionate guy who is actually not in love but bewitched and knows it. Just as she is also well in the role of lonery in search of a stable relationship, which is enchanted by the beautiful guy and ignores the passionate bewitched. I find both perfect for the roles.
