On Ep 3, and watching this after Judge vs Judge was not a good idea.. Though they are both the same concept but Only Dong IL brought the A game,Maybe I was expecting L to character to be like Yeon Woo Jin's but nop. Unfortunately I will have to drop it and try something else more exciting.
I’ve been so disciplined avoiding reviews while dragging myself through all 40 episodes (yes, dedication 😅), but you really said everything I was thinking.
There were way too many subplots that just… went nowhere. Like the whole financial scandal/arrest arc, that could’ve been such a strong turning point, especially to show traditional media rising back up. Instead, it vanished like rain on hot pavement.
And the romance… was there even one? 😭 The buildup was there, I’ll give them that, but the complete lack of physical connection made everything feel so dry. A few Google clicks tell you that most of the the cast are married with kids, I kinda knew we weren’t getting much anyway lol. But that FL air-peck moment? Yeah… I physically recoiled. I swear I almost saw my brain 😂
Qin Hailu- Zhang Duo' s storyline in that department was even more disappointing, honestly. Thet did well as "Olympians" than lovers.
Meanwhile, I was way more invested in Chai Biyun and the OCD boss dynamic, they had that perfect opposites-attract energy and could’ve easily carried their own drama. The fact that he is a stage actor and has very few TV work, and he pulled his role to perfection.
Overall, the acting and production were solid as expected, but the writing? Such a missed opportunity. This could’ve been a total banger if they’d just committed to developing those storylines properly.
Feminism at its best. Me, me, myself and I. Three women not giving a single fuck about whose life they ruin or…
Are you talking about all the females or just Zhou Yuanyuan in the beginning? I have watched enough female centric show and this is one of the few where I didn't see any feminism anthem( from someone who hates feminism) and am a woman so I can spot it a mile away.. Au contraire, they went against eachother but in a positive way.. somewhere at 30 episodes that's when by circumstances they came together to support one another The topic was more centered around traditional and modern media for the big part of the show..
unbiased??? god you are dumb thuz is totally biased
Paying internet to insult people you don't know..for a drama with actor la you have never met, as if you are being paid is the dumbest thing I have ever seen..You call people dumb but you should look in the mirror..We don't all have to like the same thing.. I will not reply to whatever you write back..you seem to be the type. Have a nice life
Sheesh I just watched "Secretly Greatly" like a week ago.. The curse of Korean celebrities being killed by the media, knetizens, allegations and bad justice need prayers and fasting..This is too much. RIP Lee Sang Bo 😭 💔 🕊️
Someone explain to me in a short paragraph why is this drama 8.8.. yes I like Chen XingXe and Lu YuXiao but I dropped it at EP 10.. I couldn't find any more courage to continue
Who wrote his Bio? the man has done like 20 dramas, movies and variety and the best thing to mention is that he married Eugene in 2011? MDL shame on you
Unfortunately I will have to drop it and try something else more exciting.
