This is the best and most realistic ending the siblings could get..or should i say the beginning? Chang hee's character growth in stages.....after gu's jump, his car, moms death, being there when someone needed him the most and dealing with hyeon a ( the coolest. I rewatched the scene where he tells the story of return to paradise and I realise how hes the one who became the friend whos says " i'm here") to finding his call (it was like fate....sometimes these things happen irl). Life takes us through different paths and journeys and how we respond in those critical moments, defines us as who we really are... And gi jeong finally decided to be who she really wanted to be. The pick up girl. The type of support only she can give for taehun. I just wish that happened sooner and she and taehun stood up to his sister. and damn right you girl..whats wrong with pitying, respecting and loving someone? Also the scene where she asks forgiveness for her misdeeds? a turning point for that character(happened in ep 9 i think) Mi jeong....ahhhhh...while gu was her starting point to feel liberated, she picked herself up even after he left. She refused succumbing to it and stood up for herself while retaining her personality. And the point where gu calls when she was about to crash the wedding, i feel like even if he hadn't called , the sanctuary of gu in her mind wouldnt have let her. And when she met gu again, tho she went through a lot, she was in a better place than when she met him first. What i liked the most is that they don't actively try to change each other. Cus unless someone will it themselves, they cant change. she finally felt whole. I actually liked how they showed her ending. Her and Gu are in different frames. Because they changed for the better for themselves and not for the sake of their significant other. And they depicted this beautifully from the start to end. "I have nothing but love inside my heart....so...I feel can't feel anything but love" a way to end with this liner....totally had me there. I know this is just middle of the year and a lot of new stuff are about to come. But this one right here...totally deserves the awards for best screenplay.
The found family trope ✔ , character development ✔ , rivalry ✔,slice of life✔, comfort✔ . Absolutely what I need right now. Its been sometime I got excited for a drama. Hoping it doesn't go down the drain in the upcoming episodes.
This series is the first work ive seen of Allen Ren, and I have to say im impressed. The character portrayal of zhousheng chen of the past and present is detailed to the point that you forget its the same guy acting the role. As someone who is awkward in nature i was sure as hell relating to him in the whole series. The body language, the long and drawn out sentences as if he is ruminating his thoughts, the convos which lead to no where, the sincerity for his close circle, I never thought Ill see a hero with whom I could relate so much. These characters are mostly show as wallflowers or they have a makeover and suddenly they become people's person etc. But this zsc was consistent to the end. Though i would have pretty much dropped the series midway if it werent for the prequel and this character. It would be nice if the supporting cast from the prequel were here. Totally miss them. 24 episodes was too short for such an amazing cast.
I have read the novel first few years back and I remembered enjoying the same when the anime came out. Now I am severely disappointed and demotivated a few episodes in. And the reason for it is well Mdzs is literally the grandmaster of demonic cultivation. I should've sensed when they named it cql. I know its because of censorship laws, but i just no longer wanna watch it. If anyone has any other reason to convince me to watch, please go ahead.
Absolutely and unreservedly! It's still the best Chinese drama for me. It's quite different from TLB and focuses…
It took me too long to find your comment lol. I am really glad I started watching NIF. It was difficult for first few eps but from ep 5 I was hooked. Now I am more than half way into it. I forced a break now, cus I seriously don't wanna complete it. Its too good. And its so fun seeing adorable wu lei there. He's too cute. Now Idk what I'll do after NIF T-T.

I have recently started watching c-dramas. So I kinda drop a lot of series if the pace is too slow. I am glad gave tlb and story of yanxi palace enough episodes (too see if i like it) and I totally loved these. Now I'm in need for more. I love multi-character focused storylines and intriguing screenplay. I actually remember watching 1/2 eps of NIF long back. So I guess I'll try to watch till 10 eps and see if I like it, since you guys seem to recommend it so much
when you think about TLB too much and can't wait until new episode are released that you keep thinking tomorrow…
I was happy jumping around thinking yesterday was sunday and my dad bursts my bubble saying its saturday and I have one more day to enjoy the weekend. If only he knew its one more day of torture *sighs
The Loooooooooong HugHe always looks closely at her expression, after hugshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWuywYQeMRw&ab_channel=%E5%8D%8E%E7%AD%96%E5%BD%B1%E8%A7%86%E5%AE%98%E6%96%B9%E9%A2%91%E9%81%93ChinaHuaceTVOfficialChannel
And here I am focusing more on Ashile sun's hair than the scene lol
I keep coming here every few hours for the past two weeks. I created an account so I could comment, like and reply. Will totally miss the interaction with you people once its done T-T. Is there a discord or something for tlb fans?
While waiting for new episodes of Long Ballad and No Boundary, I thought I'd give this a try since the ratings…
lol I also came here from long ballad. Last week I watched word of honor while waiting. And I was looking for something to see while I wait for the next ep. No drama has made my waiting period this hard T-T. I'll surely give this a try.
Would I like this even if I don't like Chinese historicals from what I've seen so far? (tried the untamed, nirvana…
I tried watching nirvana in fire as a Chinese historical starter but dropped it after 2 eps. Probably because I wasn't used to long historical dramas at that time and I expected to be hooked into after just one episode. Then my entry was Story of yanxi palace, which did take 2-3 eps for me to get hooked on, but was totally worth it. It generally takes atleast 6-7 episodes to get used to the settings since there are lot of characters to focus on. And I read mdzs, and I remember being confused for first few chapters too. I wanted to see what is all the hype about and damn was I amazed. So now I just watch 10 episodes max and see if its my cup of tea for chinese historical dramas. As for the long ballad, it took only three words to convince me "strong/intelligent main leads". Which is like my favorite genre. As I continued watching, I became more interested on personal character development of the characters. One thing appreciate about this drama is that even small roles have a huge value. In addition to the story, the acting, direction and production makes us crave for the episodes every day. So if you do end up watching it, I say watch it after it ends lol.
