Chingu... so sorry I failed to pass by here. A combination of many things that have been aggravating me these days. Nway... here I am.
I'm not watching anything at the moment, the dramas I was watching I put on hold mentally because I just don't have the desire to watch anything Asian. I have been watching Braking Bad which is AWESOME!! I cannot believe I thought I would never watch it and here I am being addicted to it. Also because I play sims and it is the one thing that takes a lot of time from my days... I love my simmies.
Well, I will go look at your list now and tell you the dramas I think deserve more than Lie To Me. But really it is all relative... I get it.
Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Late because I didn't know the exact date or did you tell me? I forget things. I even forgot my best friend's birthday, and btw, she is also a Sagittarius. I have to make up for my bad ways and be good to her until her next birthday... that's gonna be hard. LOL.
Say, which is this drama that has made you addicted?

Chingu!!! Sorry is that I log in because I suffer from some type of syndrome which enables me to concentrate on what I MUST DO once I come to my computer, and I just like to click on all my tagged sites but KNOW I cannot dedicate the time to it, even then, I still click on the site. Its just a really bad inability to focus on what's needed to be done. *sigh* Blame me, totally blame me.
Well to answer your pending question I would have to go through your list once again because I also suffer from memory loss, which is another terrible thing to happen when one is so young as I am. Hm. Anyway, in order to do that I have to have plenty of time and that will be tomorrow. :D
See tonight was one of those moments in which I came to my comp and had to click on this site just because... but didn't want to leave you thinking I'm completely insane.
About the sign thing, wow, you gave me the full scope. Loved it. Because, even when I constantly say "this is not relative" I still follow what my signs say about who I am. It's pretty accurate, except for some minor (important) things... hahaha.
One thing though, I happen to get along very well with fire signs. So its no surprise then. Meh. Hehe.
Ill be back tomorrow chingunesa! Until then. love, love.

LDG... he hasnt had really good shows I have to admit. So my best bet would be When Its At Night. That is a comedy. I wouldnt say romcom, because its main plot revolves around a crime, but of course main leads fall in love. The drama is very simple, and it would never be close to an 8. But still, a 7 (although close) is not undeserving.
Both actors have really strong chemistry and they are funny so the story flies... you wont even know you finished it when you do.
His other works are Sweet 18 and another one which is a melo, and I never watched because its one of those cliche melos about someone dying. Meh.
So... I think I answered all your questions. Phew. Im such a bad chingu, I tell ya.

I know I havent been here for a while :(
I keep checking if you have send me some message but no so I am sending you one right now. Hugs to you my chingu!!
Hope life is not too busy on your end, remember to drop by once in a while. Im not watching dramas at the moment so I have no other reason to come here but to stay in contact with you.
Oh shoot!!! I just remembered I had so many answers to give you hahahaha... am I crazy or am I crazy?
My daddy went back to Cuba a week ago. He is doing fine, everything went smooth in the airport. I was worrying he would have problem with all the things he took. But he said it all went well... phew.
Thanksgiving was okay. Although my dad was here I couldnt have a good time because I had mixed emotions. He was living the next day, so I was sad about that. And I dont get along with my cousins, being a Capricorn does come with its downfall after all.
Funny that I should blame it on my sign but Capricorns tend to be uptight individuals... Im not without faults.
Don't ever be sorry for something with me. I didn't think you were rude at all. I didn't even noticed. We are friends. Okay, Ill stop being creepy now.
I mean, titles are supposed to describe the story with one sentence or word. It's what defines what the story is about.
Let's just say this one title did not meet its purpose. *SIGH* big *SIGH*
What a waste of time for me. Im so angry. ARGH. OKay leaving now... leaving... i shall be back later.

I will write more on this later and answer some of your questions, right now I have to unwind from a fatal shock. LOL.
But I just wanted to tell you that Marry Him If You Dare is pure BS. Its like how I felt with Lie To Me until the very end. I always thought Titles are supposed to tell the story in one short sentence or one word. Well... let's just say that NO WEDDING GOES DOWN HERE. So I don't understand what was the purpose of the title being, marry him if you dare... she never dared NOTHING. WHAT THE F????
Okay see.. I need to unwind because Im getting all hysterical again.
Just know that it has one of those endings in which nothing happens but something is supposed to have happened? Only its left to your imagination kinda... well. NO. Just NO!

In the case of MHIYD is the same as with Lie To Me. For me, this drama had so much potential and it just went down the drain in the blink of an eye. However, unlike Lie To Me MHIYD has an actor I absolutely love, that is Lee Dong Gun. I love this guy and he has been away from dramas for a loooong time, so I'm sticking to this drama till the end which will be today lol.
But in all honestly, even with new "fresh" (because time travel has been abused as of late) elements in this classic plot romcom, it doesn't make it to a 7. I might give it a 6 because I just really care for ma boy Dong-Gun, and I hope he makes more dramas with better character development.
I met a Television writer once. She writes dramas for Venezuela. Although very different culture, the way television works is basically the same. She says the reason why dramas tend to have a good start and end badly is because they either change writers in the middle of the drama, or don't have a concrete plot and write the drama as they go.
If you look at a list of drama from the past 3 years, you will noticed that most dramas that are well written and well acted are based off a novel.
I had more to say, but now I don't know what... lol.

Edu-chan!! (say this with a singing voice)
I always liked Go Soo. I watched his previous dramas before he enlisted in the military then I waited patiently for him to make his come back. I didnt like Will It Snow for Christmas? But I absolutely loved Golden Empire. I actually think is the best drama I have watched in a loooooong time.
Ando Lloyd is really good. As expected of Kimura he always makes dramas that will touch you in a way. Of course he has had bad dramas, but still, you can watch them and take something out of them. In the case of Ando, it is not only what you can take out of it, but the romcom has a really interesting plot and Kimmy is well in it. I love the way he acts in this drama. I think I might give it an 8.
Girl tell me which dramas are making it to your heart so I can try them. :)

When we watch dramas, the time, the amount of dramas we have seen, and our experiences in life play a very VERY important role. That is what will defined why we like a drama so much against our reason.
Thinking this way I can understand why you liked it, and I don't think you are dumb for it (in case you are thinking I think that lol) I completely understand why some of us could like things others think are really bad, and that is okay. I have liked very bad things as well, like I'm in love with Time Between Dog and Wolf and I know -trust me I know - its not the best plot out there. I just love it for the reasons I have pointed out already.
One of the things I like about our friendship is that we know we both have good taste in dramas/films, and so we respect each others opinion about dramas/films. I don't think you are wrong in liking Lie To Me. I just asked because I was curious to know the answer. ;)

In Lie To Me none of these things happened. I was expecting much more because it isn't an old drama, and surely the Korean dramas have become globalized, so it is only reasonable that writers will focus on bringing into their story something fresh and believable.
In Lie To Me the second lead fell in love with his brother's girlfriend TWICE, different women. That is so much BS, I can't even begin to express my feelings. LOL. In both cases I did not see any reason why he would fall for these girls, in the first case it was more acceptable but in the second it was like: "hello!!! are you effing kidding me?"
I don't know. Maybe because, like I said, I had been watching dramas for a while and that sort of pattern was getting tiresome if it didn't bring in something new to the plate. So I just couldn't deal with the stupid reasons why these people were in a love triangle. It was just not believable. Not to me. I hated the drama at the time I was watching it, so I just don't see it in a good light.

This post might offend some people (hope not you) so I hid it shhh....
Because I was stalking your list hahaha, I saw you have rated it above other dramas that I think are waaaaaaaaay better than Lie To Me. But of course that taste has a lot to do with it, although in Lie To Me is not so much my taste but my logical mind the one that plays a role in disliking it.
First I was watching with an open mind, romcoms tend to be very repetitive and if you watch them hoping to find something new you are wasting your time. Romcoms for the most part follow this pattern: boy and girl hate each other, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl have obstacles, boy and girl are happy ever after. You write a romcom following this pattern and it will be a decent story. What makes them be wonderful is if the writer actually takes its time make the story one: believable within the limits; two: bring in some new elements; and three: gives his/her characters a good reason to exist.

My chingu, what's up? Checking in as per instructions. Hahaha.
I was having a Korean drama phase, and that's where I discovered Golden then later when to watch Secrets and other dramas. I thought I could follow it with Marry Him if You Dare, which started out pretty decent, but its just CRAP. The only thing good in it is Lee Dong Gun. Love the guy.
I thought I was done watching dramas, but nope... Ando Lloyd is awesome. Its the new Kimmy drama. Just when you think you can be freed of this addiction... tsk, tsk, tsk.
If this drama reminds you of All In is because its from the same director, who wanted to do another All In. It just didn't come out as good. But I still liked this drama.

And we are pretty much similar in that sense, I also want to be independent so that I never have to depend on anyone else. Money wise I sorta am, but there are things I depend on my boyfriend for, like things to do with the car and my computer. LOL!
He is pretty awesome when it comes to computers.
Changing subject, what have you been up to these days? As far as dramas and films go... I have to start doing some projects I have set up to do so my watching time will be limited.

Girl I contradict myself all the time as well. No worries, I get you completely.
And reading your comment gave me a lot more confidence to continue with my goals which aren't so different from my dreams at this point. I mean, I do dream of the big life, and when someone asks me what I do and I tell them I draw and so on, and not as a hobby, then they ask me if I'm going for all the getting famous stuff which I guess everyone that isn't an artist expects of an artist. I don't. I don't want to be famous, I don't want to be known to the whole world, but like I did said before, I do have dreams that I am this big artist everyone knows of. In this sense my goals and dreams are different. But when I see myself 20 and 30 years in the future doing exactly what I wish to do, it isn't being at NY Art Gallery Opening, presenting my biggest piece. I see myself taking care of cats and dogs in a big ranch; picking them up from the streets and taking care of them to later find them good homes. Another dream is, I see myself picking grapes in my own vineyard. So far these two are my biggest dreams that I can actually accomplish if I try hard enough. In this sense my goals are the same as my dreams, and I try to stick with this so that I don't waste my time following dreams that have very little chance of materializing. Even thought life is weird and lightning could strike! LOL.
Right now, this moment, my dream is to soon be a mother. And I can't wait to get pregnant. I can't. It will be like winning the lottery.
I'm not watching anything at the moment, the dramas I was watching I put on hold mentally because I just don't have the desire to watch anything Asian.
