I want to start watching this show, but I am worried that their real life 10 year age difference (she is 35 and he is 25) will be a distraction or do they write the age difference into the story?
Man, the chemistry these two have could burn down a whole forest, they are on fire! I am unsure what the special episode story is about and frankly I do not care. Whew!
This was not very good and either the actors refused to be intimate or the director has no understanding of passion/intimacy. Also, what is up with years upon years of trauma being resolved in less than 5 minutes for each of the lead characters. This lackluster of a series might have been so-so/okay 10 or 15 years ago, but for 2025 this was not good.
Zhang Zhe Xu's face alone deserves a 10, the man is a living work of art. The show was a heartbreaking, beautiful series that moved to a final, inevitable and yet satisfying conclusion. All the actors breathed life into their characters and I honestly loved every episode. I will miss this show.
I really liked this show. It was an easy, fast watch and the last episode was a bit of a surprise (I had to go back to make sure I was seeing it right) on who was on top, but I must say, that was a hot scene and a great decision by the writer! I liked the leads and both actors had chemistry and played their parts well. It is a very simple, sweet story and I would watch it again just to see that dazzling smile of the lead character Natsua again, he is very easy on the eyes.
It was not enough to go through all the episodes with Kosuke's mom and then watch their unhealthy relationship get resolved in 5 minutes and mom goes off to be independent and Kosuke is over his trauma, but now we have Kanade and his dad. Enough with the parents, can we actually see Kosuke and Kanade evolving in their relationship where Kosuke can actually walk around without his shirt and Kanade not getting embarrassed and all shy/naive as if they have not had (terrible boring) sex already. This show has turned into one big, boring, snooze fest. The first couple of episodes the leads had some chemistry, but that fire burned out long ago due to the wrong direction the show keeps taking. I also think the lead characters could benefit from some therapy because a lifetime of trauma does not just disappear in 5 minutes or does it? I have not had a lifetime of trauma, so maybe it will disappear in 5 minutes. Correct me if I am wrong if anyone out there has had a lifetime of trauma and it was cured in 5 minutes.
I like how the characters are growing. I am joining the bandwagon and saying episode 5 and 6 were really good! I am disappointed though that episodes 7 and 8 will not be shown concurrently, they will be shown one a week, so no final until Sept 1st.
I was excited for this show to air and to see a different style/story line in a BL, but in my opinion, this show is overrated. It's slow, repetitive, boring and honestly the actors are stiff as boards. Nothing happens. Granted the guys are good looking, but it is a yawn fest. I see a lot of comments comparing the novel and if I have to read a novel to read between the lines of each scene/episode to know what is going on, then the director is not doing a very good job or the novel was boring and repetitive to begin with. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but for others who come along to see if they should watch this show or not, I say do not, it is not very good.
