officially dropped with 2 eps left till finale. I really dgaf what the stans say, I will never again watch anything Dunk is in until I hear that he's taking a year long intensive acting course. If only fujoshis didn't hype up mediocrity for the sake of ship moments, we'd have higher quality shows and actors. "I've dropped" meaning I've started the show and watched a few eps but stopped watching because I can't stand how terribly he acts. I've given him so many chances hoping he'll improve with more experience but it seems that will never happen when he has a fanbase and a company that enable him and don't hold him to a higher standard. It sucks cuz the show he'll be in next year has such an interesting concept but I don't think I can sit through another monotonous performance. It was a trailer I was instantly intrigued by but the second he came on screen I was so dissapointed.

Like it's clear that yotha has a lot of baggage and that gives the writers so much material for conflict that will arise when someone like him is in a relationship. They could have Gun excited to do coupley stuff and dates with Yotha and Yotha being completely clueless about that kinda stuff. real life people have inflections in their voices to communicate what they're feeling. We would sound like robots without them. Even with a character who's hiding their feelings, there should be variation in their speech patterns or else it's going to sound like AI text to speech. It's not about making over the top expressions, the human voice just sounds different depending on our mood. Even dunk in real life inflects his voice, like any human being. But he just can't do it when he's given a script. I studied film and television in uni and he reminds of all the actors in freshman film projects who have no experience acting. And a character who's hiding their true feelings (which I don't think Style is btw, I think he's actually explicitly shown as a free spirit) is much harder to play because there's more nuances the actor has to deliver. But it's not entirely his fault because a company as big as GMMTV has all the resources to train him for him to improve. I understand these shows are used as a vehicle for product placement and to sell merch/fan meet tickets, so maybe I'm stupid for expecting these companies to hold themselves to higher standards. But this is just my opinion. At the end of the day GMMTV will be happy as long as the fans who buy merch and tickets are happy.
okay they're dragging it now. they keep having the same conflict over and over just so their arc stretches to 8 eps. I wish they had something else other than yotha's reluctance as an obstacle cuz it's just repetitive.
Was able to finish this by skipping A LOTTTT of scenes. I think the crew did not expect how popular JohanNorth was gonna be and were only thinking of making a fluffy college romcom. I think if they knew what they had on their hands they would've been way more intentional with everything. Overall, nothing special, but a cute light fluffy story with really great chemistry btwn Bas and Maxky. Hopefully we'll get to see them together in a better show soon.

i get that his character is supposed to be out there which is why it's even more upsetting to me that someone else wasn't casted for this. Style is actually a really fun character and a better actor would've been able to deliver a phenomenal performance with a character this interesting. Dunk just doesn't even have the most basic of acting skills like changing your tone to reflect what the character feels. Whether the character is happy, sad, scared, frustrated, or any other emotion, dunk delivers the line in the same monotonous tone. It's like he's a robot. But to each their own, it seems like his fans enjoy it which is why he keeps getting cast in projects.
I don't know if I can finish this solely bc I can not stand Dunk's acting. I really don't know how anyone buys any character he plays. He literally says every single line in the exact same tone. The only range he has is a slight quiver in his voice when he's crying. And even then it was painful watching him trying to squeeze out a single tear last ep when he has 0 believability. I'm really not trying to be a hater it's just that everytime he's on screen it takes me out of the story. I can't even blame the director atp cuz I've dropped every single show he's been in. And I can't blame him cuz if I was a terrible actor who kept getting jobs, I wouldn't gaf either. I just wish somebody cared enough to put him through intensive acting classes cuz it's a shame to see decent characters being wasted on someone who just doesn't have the ability to deliver a tiny fraction of what is asked.
