what's the budget behind this show, did TV Asahi help fundingzero product placement unless you count EarthMix's…
Didn't realize till you mentioned it but damn it feels good just enjoying a show without a product being shoved down my throat every 2 seconds

Oh please. Yes, I get where her bitterness and envy came from, but all she had to do was take care of the mom,…
If you read my comment, I also acknowledge that she is a complex character like any real life person. I'm not saying she's a saint but everyone's acting like she's the devil incarnate. To your point of "why didn't she just ask Thongkam for help", why tf would she trust him? She has no allegiance to him. Even if she helped him retain ownership of the farm, what guarantee does she have that he won't throw her out when he felt like it the same way Sek threw her away? She didn't even trust that the mom wouldn't throw her out. She knew the only way to guarantee her future was to have her name on the deed. Sek made her believe she would have that farm. While Thongkam put in money to build the farm and house, Mo put in labor to take care of Sek's mother. Both of them sacrificed a lot for this farm to exist.

Anyways, I'm not criticising the film because I think it perfectly showed the parallels between Thongkam and Mo and how they're similarly very tragic characters. I was talking about the fan reception of the character Mo.

You feel pity for her because she's a woman. nothing more nothing less
I feel pity for her cuz I watched the movie and saw how she's been used by these ppl. Maybe you don't feel pity for her cuz she's a woman.

Looking at the comments here and discussions online, I'm so heartbroken that a lot of ppl say that Mo deserved everything that happened to her. To me, by the time we got her backstory she was one of the most tragic characters. Thongkam was prepared to rape her so he could claim the farm through getting her pregnant, but it feels like everyone glosses over that part. That scene was visceral and even though he didn't end up doing it, it's just a reminder of how disadvantaged she is. Mo has been taken advantage of by Sek and the mom then thrown away so it's understandable to me why she feels entitled to some compensation for everything she's been put through. I'm not saying she's in the right but I'm glad that the movie acknowledged that she is a victim as well. It's just unfortunate that people are willingly not reading her character that way. Not to be too "we live in a society", but we live in a society where women are rarely offered a fraction of empathy extended to men.

Mo’s greed is what led to her misfortune in life. Just because you are greedy and want everything to yourself…
Mo being an born poor and being taken advantage of by everyone led to her misfortune in life. I really wish ppl gave her the same sympathy they have for Thongkam cuz the ending really lays out who she is as a character.

Just started watching and it's actually really entertaining. But I realized that dunk is the worst actor in gmmtv. He delivers every line with the same tone. I know the stans can't handle criticism but as an objective viewer who's not involved in stan culture, the show would be instantly better if anyone else was casted to play his role. I genuinely don't know how someone can't improve even a little bit after years of acting.

This is a pretty basic show tbh but I’m enjoying it. I’ve dropped shows with better acting, writing, directing, and production. But for some reason I keep coming back every week. Don’t expect complexity or depth, just enjoy it for what it is. I know this seems like a hate comment but I’m actually enjoying myself every week. I like shows that know what they are and who their audience is and don’t try to be anything else. I hope there’s an English translation of the novel available soon

time jumps are just lazy writing. I say this with my whole chest. they back themselves into a corner and don’t…
Absolutely and it's so annoying that pretty much every gmmtv show now ends with a time jump. They should leave that to special eps and actually get the arcs resolved without delying on just time passing by

I loved this show soooo much at the start. I was telling everyone I knew to watch it. But now I just can't get myself through the final ep. Ever since tae bamhee got together, I'm just not interested in what's happening. I was waiting for them to redeem Tae cuz they just showed him being a manchild up to that point, but that never really came. Bamhee went back to being his mom and I guess became a little less clingy. I had higher expectations for all these characters. Also Jane ghosting Ryan to "fix" the issues or whatever his excuse was.... I just can't take a grown man not atleast texting Ryan so they can be on the same page. It all just feels a bit childish. Now I'm wondering what this show is even about. I still have half of the last ep to go but I can't bring myself to care.

Okay I'm fkn obsessed with this show now. I'm loving the teen angst from both Wan and Pleng. This might be my favorite Thai GL (after the supreme lady Yes or No) if they keep this pacing throughout. It's so entertaining seeing how oblivious but also viciously possessive Pleng is. And I love that Wan called it out this ep. The bathing together scene took me tf out cuz these lesbians really believe this is what besties do. Yes let me platonically strip my bestie and platonically rub her back as we platonically bathe together. Y'all are gayyyyyy! Anyways, this is the highlight of my week. My only request is that they stop using those loud instrumental songs in the background of every single scene. I don't know if they just didn't have the time/money to record foley but the music is so distracting.

My expectations were a little high because this has Ohm in it and it has the same director as Midnight Museum. It's okay so far but it feels like they rushed to get them to the point where they're together. Wish they spent the first ep getting us to know the characters and care about them. This ep, Min seems to be a little naive. It's unrealistic that a crime ring would just trust him with this kind of task when he's had no prior experience. I have 0 impressions of Q's personality outside of rich, pampered kid. Are police paid that well in Thailand for them to live in that big house and for Q to just roam around all day with no job? It would make sense if his dad took the bribe but since he seems like a clean cop, how do they pay for that lifestyle? This is the first ep though so I'm sure they'll clear up these things in the coming eps.

went from a 10/10 show to a 9/10. I appreciate that the writers are trying to show that relationships are complicated and not every couple has smooth sailing, but they got us really invested in judybamhee and left us hanging. I hope they give Judy a girlfriend in the final ep.
On I Saw You in My Dream Aug 31, 2024
Honestly the only reason I'm not dropping this is because each ep I'm hoping for some development regarding Ai's power. That was the main selling point of the show but now it's completely faded into the background with this just being a typical college bl. Outside of a couple of scenes where they mention Ai's ability, his powers have absolutely no impact on the story in the recent eps. Hope that changes soon.

I really liked this episode!I really felt like if today's episode belonged to anyone, it was Pah. The episode…
Agree with everything you wrote! I'm having the time of my life with this show. I think the show is doing a great job building out the arcs for all the trainees and Pah really has my heart. His convos with Jo and Bahmee were absolutely excellent. Too many people are obsessed with screentime distribution and aren't enjoying the show for what it is which is a wonderful coming of age/work comedy. The romance is very much a part of their lives but their lives don't revolve around romance which I find refreshing for a gmmtv romcom. They really did a good job of fleshing out the characters and making them feel like complete human beings while also keeping the show light.

I understand the desire to defend it (I had that too) and we all know what assemble cast show is, but saying that…
I personally was not misled bc from the second I watched the trailer it was clear that this show would be about the 5 trainees. I would also like some more screentime for Pie but it's understandable that they can't split the show evenly into 5 equal parts. At the start, Bamhee and Tae barely had anything going on and now it's time for their arc. Pah had nothing for most of the show and now we're getting something for him. In my opinion, Ryan is like the "straight man" or the "audience surrogate" that's leading us into the world of this show because he doesn't really know much abt the production world. But his story line with Ryan is very simple and direct, not enough content to be the sole focus for most of the show. I would understand wanting more focus on Ryan as a trainee outside of his relationship with Jane. But nothing abt the promo for the show insinuated that we would be focusing more on their love story. Them being front and center in the poster doesn't mean they're the only main characters because most bl shows have only the main characters on the poster.

This is an ensemble cast so offgun aren't the only main characters. It's more abt all the trainees but I think…
I actually hope we get a little more for Pie's story cuz it seems like she's faded into the background in last few eps. I really like her as a character
