I have to give it to BOC, when it comes to quality, they're unmatched. The story is so gripping (love you Queen Sammon) and the performances have been great (the guy playing Title was a bit much tho). I was basically screaming at my screen for them to show us the picture of Tonkla's brother. And Tyme is so cute when he was checking himself in the mirror. Excited for them to expand on his background. Also, Fuaiz is absolutely bodying his role. BOC have a real gem on their hands and I hope they give him more roles.
lol I can't take Metas seriously cuz nothing he does makes sense. First he threw a tantrum at the hospital and told the doctor to heal him without using crutches lmaoooo. Just use the crutches bro, it's not that serious. Then he refuses to follow his physical therapist's instructions and over exerts himself to the point where his knee is inflamed. Dude!!!! You hired a professional to help you get better but you're doing the exact opposite of what he advises you to do. Then now he keeps throwing money at jj and talks about how everything in this world can be bought. What even is the motivation behind that? It feels like his character is just "generic rich man who's always angry and rude". I'm genuinely confused how someone so stupid and lacking common sense is supposed to be this successful, intelligent businessman. With how childish and idiotic he acts, I would assume every business he touches crashes and burns.
I'm on ep 4 and I am so surprised by how good this is. I came in with extremely low expectations cuz everything domundi related has been horrendous in my opinion. I tried watching Naughty Babe and I couldn't get past ep 2. But this show has exceeded my expectations plot-wise and performance-wise. I'm surprised I didn't hear more praise for it or maybe it's because I'm biased against domundi actors and stay away from that side of the bl fandom. But I really have to hand it to Max, Nat, and the rest of the actors cuz they are really delivering. This show has one of the most unique stories in the bl space and its roles are very complex and demanding. All the actors should be very proud of themselves for their performances. I still have 6 eps to go so we'll see if the story finishes off well but I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. And if there's anyone like me that doesn't really get the domundi hype, please give this a chance. It is really worth watching.
I'll give it one more ep before I decide to continue but it's so weird that they wasted so much time of the first ep on that weird game. We still barely know anything about the characters, they should've used this ep to draw in viewers and establish who these characters are.
It's so annoying that they wasted so much screentime on random things. We did not have to have 30 minutes of the guys just going on the water rides. A quick montage would've done the job of showing that they had fun. I would have much rather they spent more time on the convo hwi and jaeseung had and other convos happening in the house.

I didn't even notice that. it's such a simple fix, I wish production cared. Daou had mentioned there were many times he wanted to quit while shooting. I wonder if this insincerity from the production crew was part of the reason. It felt like he was telling us to manage our expectations at times.
I want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love this show. The story is so unique and interesting, I'm excited each week waiting for the next eps. Daou and Offroad's chemistry is just excellent. So my complaints about the show come from love for the show and the frustration from the fact that it could've been so much better.
There have been so many small production mistakes through these eps. I'm usually able to look over these but it happens so often that it takes me out of the show. It's small things like weird angles, weird line deliveries, and continuity errors but they happen in quick succession that it's hard to look over them. Just to name a few:
1. In ep 2 or 3 where San was transforming from kid to adult version, he was supposedly naked but in the next shot we see his black pants even though they had just shown him taking the pants off. And it's not a little bit in the corner, he is fully in fetal position with his pants on and his clothed legs taking up half of the screen. They just had to maintain a shot of him above his waist for continuity. But it's like the director didn't even look over the take and moved on. It's such a simple shot to reshoot but they didn't bother. Then we have the very obvious safety shorts with the weird sharpie drawn-on butt crack. I don't understand why they wouldn't angle the shot so we don't see it, but again it's like the director doesn't give any fks.
2. In the recent eps, there's multiple scenes where the line delivery was just weird. Specifically the scenes with Vee and Third while they were eating at the restaurant. Their conversation was so stilted they might as well have had scripts in their hands while talking. I want to emphasize that this is not the actors' fault. This is very clearly the director's responsibility to look over a take and give DIRECTION to the actors and tell them when something isn't working. This is worsened by the odd camera framing of the wide shot of them sitting across from each other. Maybe it's the restraint of the location where they couldn't go wider but if that's the case, move them to another seat or choose another location. The location isn't even significant to the scene, they could've had the conversation anywhere. Which is why it's even more frustrating to me that they went ahead with this.
3. The costuming in this show is beyond my comprehension. I don't know what briefing that department received but I'm so confused by most of San's outfits. First of all, why are ya'll dressing him like he's living in Boston in the fall? Why is anyone wearing a suede coat in Thailand out in the sun? Why is this man in a black suit with the weirdest distressed peacock shirt I've ever seen? Why does he have that thick blue jacket on at the amusement park while Vee is wearing a thin shirt? It would be such an easy choice to have San wear traditional clothes when he's at home, maybe to show that he's most comfortable in the clothes from his era. Even in the clothes he wears outside, it would be good to see him in simpler, lighter, local fabrics which would make sense for his character. But it's clear production just doesn't give a fck.
These are just a few examples. There's so many little things that have been bugging me. It makes it feel like the production crew didn't care enough to reshoot a take or that they were just rushing to finish filming the show. Knowing that ouroad have such a good following and that One31 has set this to air on prime time, you would think they would put a little more effort to bump the quality of this show up. It's so frustrating to me because these errors would not be there if the director would just retake these scenes or atleast had a little more vision for the show in the pre-production process. It just feels like they had a script and they had the actors play out the scenes with little artistic direction.
