Hello. Right now I'm watching 'Prime Minister And I' as well as 'Inspiring Generation'. Loving the first, have high hopes for the second.

Have fun!

Finally an episode (ep 11) without any Subway's advertisement :P
If that ppl has raised enough money for them to avoid makjang for ratings, I hope they keep eating sandwiches every few scenes until this ends. :P

Guys, guys, guys!! So apparently, that piano song is actually from the show Boys Before Flowers. But the original…
The rhythm (not sure if that is the proper term) is similar, but it is not the same. It's just another similar type of piece, but not the one from 'Prime Minister And I'.

Title Prime Minister and I Spoiler
For the most part I'm enjoying this drama but there are also a number of aspects that make me rme. I won't go…
I hope they're done with the push pull already too, yes. I think Yool has been bossy with everyone, so it's more of his sourpuss nature. He talks *at* people, not *to* or *with* people when he's stressed and I think he's slowly working on it and changing. Like how he now takes time to resister what his children want/think, rather than just order them around.

I think Da Jeong was supposed to be "like a kid" when they started off, because she was basically a child-like person he could not intimidate or order into silence, like he does with his children. So by her forcing him to deal with her own childish nature, she kind of taught him how to handle people in general and his own kids.

I love it that the series uses the age gap to give us insights about human relationships, character and compatibility, rather than shy away from it. So I'm glad they chose it as a premise and explore it.

The fact that he is now hurting her out of his own fear and also giving her mixed messages (telling her to know her place and then kissing her and back again)*is* 100% mean of him though. And he'll have to pay for that. Well, he did get stabbed, but I mean pay in an emotional way. And apologize.

Compared to most male leads who are mean for the heck of it, Yool has his reasons to be so, for the most part. What he did lately has been lashing out due to his own problems and unfair to her, yes, but for example scolding her about losing the contract or not being careful around In Ho was well within his rights to do.

For a long time, she did not think about what her actions can cause for everyone involved. A scandal or the marriage being found out would ruin many lives, including those of the children. For a 28-year-old woman and former reporter, she should know better and did not even try to be more careful after she was told to repeatedly.

So while some of the things he says or the way he tells them are a bit too direct, he hadn't really said something wrong until he panicked and tried to push her away. And I think this is what makes him so much better than a typical kdrama lead.

May I request an unbiased point of view please....I'm uncertain about watching this drama. So could anyone who…
I on the other hand feel it's still very much a nice series. More mature than the usual romances and by mature, I don't mean with a lot of crying. That's just soapy.

Lee Beom Soo is doing great, Yoona is doing ok for a rookie, the family bonding is lovely, relationship and chemistry work and the character development is better than in most dramas of this genre.

Not original, but one of the best I have seen in rom-coms. Perhaps not for the viewers who prefer only the less challenging sides of the genre and visual qualities of the actors, but for those who want just a tad bit less ridiculous a romantic comedy without abusive men and pathetic women.

I recommend it and I do agree with TheTranquilKnight about the age. It's a non-issue, as it is in real life as well, and the pairing works.

They've earned their place there. As has 'Monster' when it comes to anime. Ah, Grimmer. What a guy.

Versailles oppa. ^_^
Are you kidding me? How can someone not be a Versailles fan if they have witnessed that pure win of a character? :P

I watched the first two eps but didn't know what to think if it. I really din't see me shipping the two main leads…
The age gap disappears very soon after the fun starts. Two episodes is just an introduction. The writing is great and so is the chemistry and the romance. But if after 4 episodes you just don't feel it, then maybe it's not something you'll be able to get past and enjoy. Check another 2 and decide. Even though I agree with the poster above. It just keeps getting better and better and more and more romantic.

The prime minister of Korea must feel awkward watching this drama. lol. Especially if he's married :P hahaha.
The Prime Minister is more like a Vice President of sorts. They aid the President, who is the leader, with handling all the ministries. Should the President not be able to fulfill their duties, the Prime Minister is first in line to be an acting-president. At least from what I've understood.

Agreed there. The biggest fantasy element in this series is how good a man Yool is given his position.

One of my favorites was in 'Magic' (Kang Dong won's last drama). They kept translating "you can be/are etc.…
Piss on me, piss at me, I think it had both. For those pissing from close or long range. The series was melodramatic enough to make it funny without these, but they just added another layer.

Those screencaps made me lol especially the one with the fish hahahahaha. I agree with you at first I found it…
I hate the use of non-Korean slang too. Like if a character is speaking with a dialect, they turn all "because" words to "cuz" and more, often going for a hillbilly stereotype, but based on US American dialects, which is like trying to make a birthday cake with pork and ginger.

A lot of people pissed on others in that drama. Everyone was just pissing on each other the entire time.

One of my favorites was in 'Magic' (Kang Dong won's last drama). They kept translating "you can be/are etc. pissed (off) with me", as in angry with me, as "you can piss on me". I tell you, watching that had a whole other layer of meaning sometimes.
KDramaQueen91 Dec 28, 2013
I laughed so hard with your examples. Very fun piece, thank you. Personally, even in the beginning, I was annoyed by the replacement of 'oppa' and such. I was feeling left out and genuinely wanted to know the terms. So for anyone who is serious about their love for Korean cinema and drama,

I'd say being nudged into looking some things up is not bad, when they are terms used so often one will have to get used to anyway. So I am all for leaving some important things as is. As long as the original meaning gets through and is not filtered by a summary, rather than translation, I can inform myself on everything else.

I SHOULDN'T have watched the preview T_T Now I will be anxious for a week T_T
It was misinformation by a large source. Or maybe KBS changed their plans. But there will be an episode on Monday and none on Tuesday.
On Prime Minister and I Dec 26, 2013
So it seems some big source messed up, since there WILL be one episode on Monday. Unless KBS messed up in the video description of the preview for Episode 7, which states it airs on the 30th.
