the main character of the original webtoon IS a "pretty boy" lmao
Yeah, I saw Bryce as a main role above and was like, WTF...?

Well, I'll still read the comics before I watch this, since I'm so close to catching up (it's still on-going), but thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks, everyone.

It turns out that I was mixing up the fat kid with another Korean bullying/fighting webtoon that I'd also had bookmarked for years! My apologies.

Also, the WEBTOON IS AMAZING!
Okay, the first 50 or so are (which is probably this series), then it slows down a lot. A lot of readers were posting comments of how they were worried it would go gay (it doesn't), so seeing a girl as having a major role in the series makes me wonder if they quelled the panic early on.

I'm around 100 chapters into the webtoon (it's around 230), so I'm going to finish that first and then see how this TV version compares.

Many of those who read the webtoon commented that the drama adapted it well and even better than how the webtoon…
Thanks for the breakdown. I'm reading the webtoon now but I intend on checking out the drama afterwards.

Yes. She killed the guy that shot Pyung Ho from the side as soon as she got out of the car.
Thanks!

Wasn't he bullied because he was fat? I think he loses weight and learns to fight or something...
Like I wrote: it seemed interesting so it's been on my reading list for a long, long time.

The comment is not about the show but I have seen so many school bullying dramas from SA, I wonder is school bullying…
Japan is one of the safest countries in the world but Yakuza films are rife and often hyper-violent, so try not to read too much into it.

That said, I guess there also must be a lot of nerdy webtoon writers who resent not being more popular, so amplified things and then made the weak kids get strong and crush the bullies.
At the end of the day, we all like to see bullies get destroyed - it plain makes a good read.

I've had the webtoon bookmarked forever. Considering how Japanese stuff normally pales in comparison to the original manga, and how Korea loves to put girl-band-looking "pretty boys" in all the lead roles, I'll go for the webtoon instead.

But please, convince me otherwise.

I didn't really like this film but the extra gun shots at the end made me wonder if a certain someone also got killed.
Can anybody answer?

I remember years ago when people were bigging this up, going on about it being shot on an iphone.

I saw the making of and they had big-arse professional f**king lenses, dollies... even a CRANE at one point! I was really p*ssed off because it was hyped up like, "Oh, look at what a real director can do with an iphone," whereas the reality was, "Look at what a professional crew with funds students could only dream of have done with an iphone!"

Sh*t, for the money spent, they may as well have used an Arri!

If this were an animation, people wouldn't notice the problems.
I disagree. Sucky is sucky, regardless of the format.

You clearly didn't understand anything about the movie. Everything was made on purpose. You can't give a opinion…
I really don't understand why you're all getting on the dude's case. THE FILM IS SHIT!
I turned it off around 32 minutes in when the woman with the axe in her head stood back up.

Now, explain to me again how being a Hollywood professional makes a bad film good?
The argument above claimed that only those who knew how to make a film could savour the marvel that this beneath the surface, hence common man couldn't possibly appreciate it!

Dumbest argument ever!
It's like those idiots who try to argue modern art has depth the commoner cannot understand when, in reality, it's all a tax or money laundering scam!

The most important part of any film is the first 30 minutes!
If it fails to capture and hold the viewer's attention, the rest of the film has no chance!
So, did this improve?

I don't care!
It's a crappy Japanese version of the even worse Diary of the Dead. 1/10.

It's just the same cast and general concept truth be told
Dang, considering how much I liked the characters and story of the first one, and how you've basically described the BIGGER, LOUDER, more expensive sequel that hopes to cash in glory of the original, it seems like a miss.

I may eventually get around to seeing it out of curiosity, at some point, but it's certainly no longer a priority.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Computer game wannabe shite!

This one started off well enough, but after 18 minutes, the lead had a FLAWLESS VICTORY over 50+ Korean yakuza, all armed with sharp weapons.
10 minutes later, the lead had more FLAWLESS VICTORIES - with the Mortal Kombat-style death moves - on almost countless men in suits.

Fast forward to the hour part, there's been a tiny bit of story, but it's too mixed in with the Hardcore Henry style of "storytelling" to continue watching to find out who's really who and how it all ends.

I had to turn it off at the hour mark!
The insanely over-the-top action, the completely ludicrous, physics-denying stunts, the eyeball-aching CGI of the road battle.

Don't get me wrong: it's a technical marvel how it was all pulled off but, sadly, the viewer was never really considered. This is a vanity project on steroids!
I could only recommend people to avoid this turd.

Hmm why would nation of origin matter?
Because I've watched so many films, I divide and rate them according to origin.
Also, it's not really fair to expect, say, a Vietnamese film to have the same production values as a Korean one.

I just watched all 3 because of Takeshi and I'm still super confused (and scared of the brutality). All I know…
WTF? Is this a massive spoiler?
