Okay I just finished this show, safe to say Jin's character didn't do anything offensive other than initial one or two instances. I found out that the novel has multiple raping scenes, obsession and toxicity so I'm actually glad the makers took care of Jin's character and didn't make him a piece of shit like the novel did. Smart played it well.
Story was average, but the chemistry was great. The sex scenes were amazingly filmed. Very creative and emotionally charged. Boom's acting though, man I'm impressed. That's some insane level of talent. And when he cries omg he cries like the world has fallen apart, so good. I need him to get more projects and more hype shut all the drama up please let my man get his due he deserves to be famous!! Can he get into a better management or company or whatever that actually cares and gives him projects that he deserves? It's a shame to see many bad/average actors gain popularity because of overhyped shipping and visuals when a talent like Boom remains underutilized.

I don't get it, most bl novels are written by female authors how can they glorify toxicity and creepy shit? As a woman myself I always see women as more empathetic and thoughtful especially when it comes to sensitive issues like SA, consent, emotional quotient etc but some of them really think adding SA, manipulation, creepy stalking, forcing, temper issues, manchild mentality, "I'm toxic because I have some childhood trauma" - type of stuffs make characters edgy and their content spicier. It does not! It's disgusting.
Same, I feel like younger me would have devoured this. The plot is okay but lacks any solid element its just cute…
Exactly, that's why the showed is loved so much. Most of the audience is younger. I remember being down bad for fluffy romance when I was 18 too. Now I'm into mature and realistic portrayals more.
People are saying they are finding the initial episodes boring and the comments tell them to wait a little longer…
I think everyone loves the chase. It gets boring after the couple gets together for most people. I personally really like slow burn for this exact reason. The initial episodes in this show are a bit extra and kinda cringe(funny? yes, but still cringe) because Duang is doing the weirdest shit to get Qin's attention that's why people wonder if they should continue. I get it because that's exactly how I felt when I started watching it, the first 3 episodes gave me second hand embarrassment but 4th ep onwards it got better. They officially got together way later in ep 9. From ep 4th to 9th the build up was nice. That's what people would enjoy if they sit through the first 3 eps hence why they're being told to do so.

I loved shine and I found me and thee okayish just like you and yet duang with you just grew on me after I surpassed the initial cringey episodes. People can have different tastes. I get it that mdl ratings cannot be trusted it's rated by fandoms more than genuine watchers but this show cannot be compared to me and thee because these two actors aren't established or super popular like pondphuwin, people here genuinely liked their chemistry and most people who watch bls are pretty young so they like silly romcoms, it's their choice. This one isn't even that bad tbh it had it's cringe moments in the first few episodes but it's fresh in it's own way. I can see why young adults like it and I can see why you question it too but c'mon don't come here and act like you're better than everyone. Taste is subjective. I didn't like khemjira even though the plot was good because the leads didn't have any chemistry and the actor who played khem was meh. Now should I question your taste because you liked it?
