Where can I watch this from? Is this available on Youtube as well?
WeTV (the link above) is free and subbed, not sure about anywhere else.

I dunno why I found it so funny that the general and Yu Hu's first meeting is when he's in the jail cell. I know the plot was more important but not even a "hey, you must be the person I was supposed to marry", maybe a polite nod... Yu Hu didn't even acknowledge him.

Title Love Is Deep Spoiler
Both leads are shit spouses tbh. FL was a doormat to her ex and then overcompensated next time round. ML knows how to set boundaries but not how to enforce them.
Dr. Shu made my skin crawl, even when she came back at the end "totally over him" she still made my skin crawl. And I still don't get why she tried to get with him through the mistress (I know that's clarified, but that's what he believed then) and the dad knowing he hated them. Surely they were the worst choice to keep friendly with...
FLs ex was an unbelievably shit bf to her, and a bad friend too. The only dated for like a year, but they were friends for 6 years. How does he know nothing about her? ML expecting FL to follow him to America for no reason is idiotic, and I'm glad she didn't. She sacrificed again and again for her ex, and she got offered her dream job with her idol. She'd resent him forever if she went.
While he torpedoes their relationship all by himself when he ignores her for a full year out of pure pride. It's definitely his first relationship. And then he basically catfishes her for 6 months during the same period.
I'm still annoyed the ex ended up back with his ex. He was a shit bf to FL, but he deserved better than that snake. She was weasely as hell at the start, lied and did a bunch of shady sht to hurt FL and make her lose faith in her ex. She wasn't wrong in her assessment of their failing relationship, but she was a sht person who deliberately instigated his break up and then forced her way into the company and into getting back with him. The emotional blackmail was off the charts. I don't care if she behaved like a human by the end, she was a weasely snake as far as I'm concerned.

Title You Are My Destiny Spoiler
I love all the families, even the fraudster aunt. They were all on FLs side and took no shit. Anna needs locked up. She caused ML to lose his child over her refusing to accept the breakup. Yeah he cheated and he's shit for that. But she treated him like garbage for their whole relationship, and when he finally pulled the plug she clung to him, and then turned psychotic. How she didn't vomit at the sight of herself every time she tried to rekindle their awful relationship, knowing full well she made him, FL, and their families go through something so awful... Sure she didn't push FL in front of the car, but if you leave a lit candle unattended and burn my house down it's still your fault. Losing her career and becoming infertile wasn't enough.
ML was spineless and took way too long to sort himself out, but I do feel awful for the grief he faced losing his child and his partner at the same time, and the self blame for being the person who signed the hospital forms. FL did well to overcome her doormat tendencies, even if she did regress at times. And I'm glad she had a whole meltdown in Budapest, because she had just stuck a band-aid on her trauma and hadn't dealt with it at all.
I liked it, but not as much as GGS s1. I get that they made changes to FL and the age difference etc to make a more palatable romance. But I can't understand why they changed the sport completely, and changed it into one that isn't a team sport despite how hard they tried to make it look like one. I saw someone else comment it's like calling F1 racing a team sport. Sure there is a team behind the car, but it's an individual sport, ML is the driver, everyone else is crew.
Then along with changing the sport they also cut most of the secondary character teammates, which is annoying, because I liked them all. But I guess as hard as it was to justify 4 teammates for robot wars, it would've been comical to have as many teammates as s1. So they basically only kept 5/6 of the same actors and either changed actors or got rid of the characters entirely. It's just such odd choices of who to keep and who to swap or delete.
I will just consider this an alternate universe GGS and leave it at that.

Unfortunately for you and I, not to mention a large number of inhabitants of this big blue ball we call Earth,…
Oh that's disappointing. What a bland little doormat ML. Well at least they love eachother without any other motives I guess... So I assume it'll go - learns he's not that baby's daddy - learns the red flag wife is f*ing the brother - karma for that pair🤞 - annulment /divorce/death - further ridiculous complications - endgame where she's like "I <3 You" and he's like "nice, sorry I'm a total doormat". Ah well.

I know it's just tropes, but I was cheering for the lack of SA in this (the bare minimum), and then grandma and the fiancé drug and SA that poor doormat Jing. I was rooting for him for a while but after the 4th or 5th promise to be with FL and then bitching out I had to mark him as a lost cause. It is heartbreaking though that he was forced by his grandmother to marry his rapist. If only he'd followed through with the old neck slice when he woke up after she assaulted him. That was just grim. As if he's not been through enough trauma already, she does that. I'm assuming the baby is the other guys right? And it will eventually be revealed? Poor kid. Poor Jing. Good riddance grandma. I wasn't altogether clear on if she actually assaulted him, or if she just pretended to as a cover for a pregnancy caused by the brother... either way it's a disgusting violation. Imagine your grandmother being like "lemme just drug my grandson real quick so you can rape him and force him to marry you"...
Who exactly is endgame in this for FL? I'm rooting for Xiang Liu even though he's a walking red flag😅. He's just all trauma and intensity, and he clearly loves her but can't express that in a normal way because he's demonic and also badly needs therapy. IRL I would flee, but cdrama land means I'm fully in support of him as endgame. I mean we are getting a lot of him softening up, and backstory to explain his trauma... Even if he does flip a switch and try to kill her every so often. 😅
Feng Long is a sweetheart and would make her happy in the absolute beigest way. I can't even picture them holding hands, never mind behaving like a married couple. 😂
Cang Xuan gives off serious antihero energy, which I love. They're soulmates, but they could never be lovers in my eyes (sorry Sang Xuan). But I guess I wouldn't be enraged if they ended up together.
I draw the line at Jing though. He's to be pitied, but he let her down too many times, and he let himself be used by his awful family for too long.
Bring on part 2!

I mean we all knew that woman never had cancer, but Jesus I'm so annoyed she never had any real repercussions for her actions. She was an absolute snake beginning to end and every time she threw herself at ML it made me feel ill. He was such a doormat it got annoying real fast. He just sat there enduring all that emotional blackmail and hurting the person he loved, knowing he didn't like that snake at all anymore. But he just sat there. She basically moved into his house...wtf.
He was willing to fake marry and fake impregnate FL to keep his mother calm, but the stress and upset he caused her by letting that snake in was totally fine I guess.
The woman was unhinged.
Like I know he's a plastic surgeon, but he still went to medical school, surely dozens of red flags were waving every time she refused to show him her medical records. "They're all in America", as if email doesn't exist. As if a whole DOCTOR would move to a different country and not take their relevant medical records with them. The only record she had looked like a self written slip that said stomach cancer... it was the same paper as the fake pregnancy slip she wrote... COME ON PEOPLE.
Even if she had cancer 5 years ago, she was still a snake. Also when she started in the hospital her work history would've been a factor. Was she pretending she wasn't training and working in America? How would she have walked into the hospital job if she'd been out of work and dying of cancer for the last 5 years, and not finished her training (as far as the doormat knew before the not so big reveal)?
Edit: I just got angry again and had to come back to comment 😅. What happens if she eventually tricked him into sleeping with her, and he noticed the complete lack of abdominal scarring from her getting half her stomach removed?! I'd already discounted her lack of dietary restrictions as an off camera problem, but surely doctor doormat would've noticed she had no surgery scars. If they were going to make a doctor that medically stupid, they should've just made him a regular CEO.

I mostly liked this, FL and ML chemistry was great, and the acting was great for a mini drama. ML had a whole lot of maturing to do though.
So it's fine for him to get a whole house behind her back but it's not okay for her to accept a job? It's a bit rich to call out her lack of communication when he never told her he was buying a house for them. They're both bad communicators, but she tried to discuss it with him and resolve it, and he just instigates a breakup, then follows her to her internship (that she worked hard to get and he magically strolls into) just to pester her. That alone irritates me. She's building herself up and he just strolled into an internship he didn't even want just to bother her. He took a spot from someone else who actually wanted the job. If he was just going to follow her anyway why did he even fight about moving? Taking the internship to make sure she got the job? May as well just tell her he doesn't think she's capable of landing the job on her own merit.
This job is so important to her and he comes to supposedly help her, while undermining her regularly. Standing up for her, trying to defend her honour or whatever, trying to pay for the shirt... just makes her look weak when she's trying to build a reputation and rapport with her coworkers. She did some of that too when he made mistakes, but not to the same degree. Then he quits the internship without discussing it with her, and turns up in the middle of an important meeting to apparently help her again. But in reality his appearance undermines her hard work, and once again tells her he didn't believe she could do it without him. She worked hard on the proposal and all her colleagues see is that party A is the boyfriend so she must have f*cked her way into signing the contract. He's not stupid so why is he so stupid? Fine it all resolved itself, but she had to rebuild her reputation with those petty coworkers while he's just swanning around like he didn't do anything wrong. She's hurt and angry and he's barely able to hide a smile thinking he did her a favour.
I'm definitely too annoyed here 😅 but I've had it up to my eyeballs with the trope of the ML white-knighting in to help FL progress in work/life/whatever and ending up doing her harm with no consequences for these selfish acts of love. What's wrong with just making her dinner and telling her he believes in her?

I kept waiting for something to happen... well I skimmed the whole show and I'm still waiting. I know some BLs give up plot for the sake of "plot", but this had very little of that either. It just seemed pointless.
Also question from the extra episodes (I think, I watched it all as one), do people have baths in their underwear? Everybody was having baths in their boxers and I'm confused on whether that's a thing I'm supposed to just accept as normal or if they were just too lazy to angle the shots better for the allusion of nudity, or add a few more bubbles so we wouldn't notice... I just kept picturing them getting all steamy in the bath and having to peel off their partners soggy boxers. Grim.

On Because This Is My First Life Aug 1, 2023
I mostly liked it. The acting was great, and the leads were overall quite sweet with eachother. But then they decided to reinvent their personalities at the end and pissed me off.
FL broke his heart because she didn't know everything about him yet. She dumped him so that she could witness him spiral and see the parts of him he usually hides away. But like the parts she wanted to see were him angry and crying. So she dumped him knowing how he felt about her, just to witness that. He sold his house! How is that not a bigger deal given how important she knew that was for him? He's in the middle of a breakdown and she waltzes in like "okay I'm ready now". He's broken and she's like "sorry I guess...we good?" No the fuck we are not.
The show was getting boring so she just dumped him for the plot. As a writer, she picked a generic trope out of a hat and applied it to her life. Like his dream is just to have a normal everyday existence, and she shat all over it. Knowing full well she was gonna just stroll back into his life she still told all the secondary characters as well, and never even discussed it with him. Like they've only been together a short while, even if they were dating they would still have their privacy, and as they grew closer the walls would come down naturally. But she bulldozed his walls because she wanted to see behind them, while not actually giving anything back.
She never told him about her personal problems, the assault, her fears, nothing. She could've opened up first. She went through his belongings too, knowing how he valued his privacy, knowing they hadn't started dating yet, she used the cat as an excuse to rifle through his things and take them without asking. I'd be so annoyed if someone did that to me. I'm glad they didn't use it as a reason to fight though, too cliché.
I had two friends who were dating eachother once, for like a year, and she asked to break up to test herself out to make sure she'd be okay if they ever broke up for real. He, like the rest of us was horrified and said he'd rather not actually. They stayed together a few more months, and he later found a better partner. I equate FL at the end to this level of unhinged heartless behaviour. You don't do this to someone you love.

I'm baffled by the wig thing. I'm guessing FL got a haircut and then scenes had to be shot so they got the longer wig, but it still makes no sense. The friend deliberately mentioned wigs in ep1 so we'd accept it in the storyline, but they could've just let her hair be longer or shorter depending on reshoots and pretended it was the wig when her hair was long. Why include a shit wig, her short hair, and her long hair? Just pretend her long hair is a wig. It's so distracting because it's so similar to her normal hair.
I remember watching a Thai drama were one of the leads had short dark hair bleached blonde with dark roots, but then they must've reshot scenes after he got about a half inch off and his roots redone. It was very very distracting.
Anyway I slogged through 8 and a half episodes of this, realised it was a 50 episode drama, and am now dropping it. It's not terrible, but it's way too slow paced for me, I don't care about any of the characters or the story, and know I'll end up spraining my hand from hitting the skip button so often. 😅

This was very sweet. Jun was great and our leads were believable, funny, sweet, and fairly good communicators by drama standards. The random third wheel love interests didn't stand a chance and I love that Zi Han and Xaio Tu's thing developed into a really lovely friendship (even though it took him a while to resign himself to it). It was all very healthy. The parents were all wonderful, even if I am still angry with Ling Chao's dad for the 10 years of abandonment. Okay go launch your business, but for god's sake send your child a letter every so often, to fully disappear for most of his life and then pop back up with a company as if it's all good. Therapy. So much therapy.
I liked Kai Xing as a person, and a support to our FL, but honestly Si Wen deserved better than their relationship. He was devoted, told her he was going on the trip, and then isn't able to contact her. With the amount of contact they kept up my first thought wouldn't be the asshole ghosted me on my birthday. I'd be thinking he'd had a terrible accident and was lying in a hospital somewhere. Like she just dumps him without even making sure he wasn't dead in a ditch.
And he came to see her a bunch of times when they were dating and even before. I never saw her go to him at all, or do anything for him. He was sending her stuff and buying her meals remotely, constantly in touch with her, reassuring her... And in return she videod herself doing things and showed him what she was up to. He disappears while she knows he's on a trip out to the woods and she doesn't check if he's okay and wouldn't let anyone else contact him to verify. Even if she didn't think something bad happened, wouldn't the most logical thing be that his phone just died, and he can't charge it because he's in the woods? Nah, just jumps straight to abandonment, and refusing to even allow herself closure.

The subs where I was watching had her turning 19 when he made her the cakes, and him 24 which made a 5 year gap when he was "wooing" her, and then they start dating on the day he turned 25. And that day she was talking about being nearly 20 too. So I guess 5-6 years depending on the time of year. But my subs were a bit messy a few times.

This was adorable start to finish, and incredibly wholesome. It was so nice to watch a drama without the usual dragged out love triangle or big barrier to the leads relationship. All of the friend group were wonderful fleshed out characters, and were kind to eachother the whole way through. It was just so easy to watch with no stressful side characters or antagonists (or none that lasted more than a few scenes at least), and the only misunderstanding was easily resolved.
It just goes to show how you don't need all the excessive additions to the plot for the sake of dramatics. It's so nice to finish a drama feeling warm and fuzzy and just a little sad it's over.
FL did cute in a really believable and likeable way, hard to do without going too far. ML did the cold guy who slowly warms up really well too. The other three friends were so lovely to watch, and I have a real soft spot for the grandma. MLs little brother was well done too, and all the other family except MLs parents, mostly the mother. She can go die in a hole, or shipped off to a nursing home where neither of her kids visit her.
The soundtrack was lovely as well.

Oof. Glad that's over. It was fine, if a little propaganda filled...until it went completely off the rails. As soon at the weirdo husband with a vendetta against ML came in, it went completely nonsensical. Do we gloss over the fact that he assaulted the crazy girl, her father then forced her to marry him, and then drives her literally insane for no reason? Because ML seems totally unbothered by that sex offender still approaching the crazy lady, still hugging her and forcing his presence on her. She hated him.
Also the secret child was completely unnecessary. Why even bring her in? She did nothing for the plot. ML just accepted this random child was his and then had a flashback of their weird trauma fueled bathroom sex? That kid could be anyone's, but the sex offender and the man who murdered his mother told him she's his child and he's just like yeah seems believable.
Honestly I'm glad he died because there was no future for them. He was a corporate spy who faked his qualifications with a surprise 5 year old. Killing him off was the only move that made sense in the last third of the show. Killing his sister was also a good call because she was a terrible person and shit at her job. It does suck though that the crazy girl must now be under the control of her would be rapist. Without her father controlling her, her abusive husband can do whatever he wants. Gross.
