Is Chimon okay? And I'm asking this from a concerned place. I watched the trailer from 7 months ago and the one…
He’s reportedly doing much better physically and mentally after the hiatus he needed to take in 2024. Also I’ve personally never seen anything from Chimon saying he wouldn’t be in another BL pair. I mean Perth was his third I think? Chimon and Sing have actually been close friends for a long time.
Match Point dropped first so we likely won’t see this air until at least August. Given this is a brand new pair it’s unlikely this will take over Saturday after PAM is finished (that might go to YM). If this trailer drops in the next week, it might get the Friday slot once ADAAP ends.
First episode hasn’t even aired yet and the clowns are already crawling out of the woodwork to sling 💩. Oh well, thank you for giving me more people to block.
I have high expectations going into this series. I love a good mystery and from the moment the pilot trailer dropped last year I was invested. A dark thriller, Dew (my fav F4 baby) and Tee finally getting his first lead role? Sign me up! Plus Gmmtv has done good mystery/thriller series in the past (let’s not talk about DYTD). The series trailer just raised my expectations even higher. Even watching the special and seeing that they did not give this title too much in the way of a budget did nothing to diminish my expectations. Good acting, directing and cinematography can overcome any low budget issues. And in the case of Mr.Kill, all of those are true. Every expectation I had was not just met but surpassed! What an incredible first episode! Dew’s acting is amazing! The scenes with the mirror, Kaye’s struggles with interacting with people, all the odd little movements and strange flashes? Dew is playing a very complex character and his portrayal pulls you right in while leaving you second guessing if you really understand what’s happening. Is he the killer? Is he innocent and just a pawn or scapegoat? Could this be a case of DID? I know there are twists coming with this character and I cannot wait for every single one (even if he really is the killer)! In the Mr.Kill special Tee was candid about his struggles playing Phat. This is hist first lead role and it’s a very difficult sort of character to play bc it’s a police detective. The role requires a specific sort of mindset that isn’t easy to achieve. But Tee held his own wonderfully. I am really impressed by how well he did in just the first episode. We are finally getting to see Tee show more of his abilities and range as an actor. Bromance vs BL? Truly, since the disappointment of NanonChimon never happening, I avoid ghost ships. As DewTee is not an officially established CP I was fully prepared for and happy with just bromance. But the bromance? Total lie. From the moment Kaye and Phat meet the chemistry between them practically explodes. Phat is clearly infatuated with Kaye while our complicated (possibly psychotic) bunny Kaye is absolutely drawn to his “hero”. Watching the two of them interact had me grinning like an idiot and very few pairs have the power to make me do that. The ghost ship is sailing beneath my feet and I can’t even regret it bc their chemistry is just that good.
To be honest seeing how Gmmtv is treating dew and tee I think this will be their first and last series together…
I don’t think the company would want to actively sabotage any title as it only hurts them in the end. However, after DYTD didn’t do as well as expected, they may have been reluctant to invest as much into this genre again. Giving this title support is the best way to show the company that the fan base is strong.
So excited to see there will be more episodes. I’m really curious who will be a guest next. There are several more actors within GMMTV who are well suited but it would also be interesting to see guests who are just starting to be serious about health and fitness.
Really impressed by how well they maintained the intensity in the series right through the climax. A first rate cast delivering a captivating story. My favorites part was how much hope you could feel in the ending. If they give us another season I will definitely watch but it genuinely feels like a complete story on its own.
Absolutely the best episode so far! The tension, the struggles, the atmosphere, the whole just everything! I really hope the director receives an award for this work because this is truly masterclass storytelling!
I think Niran has no idea to betray Pete to seal Qi Rong his plan from the start was to save Ploy Or it is other…
I think Niran didn’t know himself what he would do until that moment. His own indecision may have been part of the reason why he was so lost facing Qi Rong.
If you’re sleeping on Trend to Golden Figure, GO CHECK IT OUT! Not only is Sky doing an incredible job hosting, the episodes themselves are actually pretty interesting. While it does specifically focus on health and fitness, the dialogue is geared at discussing different fitness activities and what being healthy means from each guests perspective. Plus the guests so far include P’Great and Sea so we may even see Nani.
DYTD had a crap director (along with some other issues), which ruined what could have been JD’s best series…
Yep, I was so excited when this title was announced and then they had to switch directors and I cried bc I knew disaster was looming. I’ve seen previous novel to screen titles by the same director and he always does a terrible job.
