Most international fans don't know CY's story, but he was cyberbullied massively for two entire years after Love and Redemption aired because of a huge misunderstanding, claiming that he was "rude" to the FL because of some actions like letting the director stand between him and the FL (CY wanted to give the director the centre stage position) or like not consoling the FL when she was crying (bruh, everyone else on that stage was crying). Anyways the massive hate was crazy that some crazy haters came to him in person and physically hit him at the site where he was filming his other drama. In the first place, CY has a non-confrontational and introverted personality, the massive cyberbullying made him more introverted and socially anxious during variety shows and public events.

Besides this, there are so so so many other incidents that I can talk about. Also, he came from no background, no connections or backing in the entertainment industry. He's very low-profile too. CY is the perfect victim for those haters.

Yes definitely!! I was watching Fugui's expressions intently during that scene. I could see some surprise in his eyes. He also said her clothes are not suitable and didn't dare to look at her hahaha

You must see how CY acquired his fans. Most of CY's fans are fans of his incredibly kind and strong character rather than purely looks, his hardwork, his humility etc. I can't speak for others, but I became a fan of CY precisely because of his good character (I went to watch his very old videos to know more.) I respect that kind of character CY has so I don't want to engage myself in lowly hatred for celebrities online.

It's up to your personal preference! I'm not good at explaining about shows, but you can read up on the synopsis or watch some short clips of both shows to see which you prefer!

Oh I am not sugarcoating the problem? I just said that I can still understand their thought process, but that does NOT mean I condone it. I'm just saying between "support" and "hate", I can still understand the "support", but personally for me I cannot understand hate. I, myself, have NEVER participated in online hate. Likewise, personally, I only rated the episodes that I have watched. Please don't see my comment as sugarcoating. I even told the person to ignore the excessive ratings (and that means both the 10s and 1s for unaired episodes).

Actually, I think the junior isn't just a brat! Notice how she keeps saying that "Humans and demons have different paths". I'm sure the junior is quite young too and she was taught that by her master (Wangquan Hongye). From her perspective, she could've blamed herself for letting that spider demon (Qing Tong) infiltrate Wangquan Manor and poisoned her senior, and so when she sees her, she feels resolute to kill her. To her, she thought that Qing Tong lied to her once and that's why Fugui got poisoned so she was not going to believe her again.

At least this was what I thought, trying to give her some benefit of doubt!

Well ignore those excessive ratings. The 10s for unaired episodes I can still understand because it comes from wanting to support their favourite actors or actresses (although excessive), but for 1s for unaired episodes, that's just quite low tbh and comes from hate.

I really like the relationship between the leads. Nowadays, there are many romance cdramas where the romance is so fast and intense, which I know are some people's preferences, nothing wrong with that. However, I really really love those kind of healthy, trusting, gentle, yet strong kind of love. This drama shows that so well. Qing Tong and Fu Gui are happy with each others' presence and company. Those gentle looks and protectiveness they have for each other makes me feel so happy. I get that this kind of romance may be boring for some, but to me, this is a treasure 😭🥺

Bad translation. 富贵 (Fu Gui) means wealth. 清瞳 (Qing Tong) means something like pure eyes if it's directly translated.

Guyss I love this couple so much! They are such a green flag couple, there's no miscommunications or misunderstandings (so far). I love how protective Fugui is of Qing Tong. Like what Rumu said, Fugui will cherish whatever friendships/relationships he has because he doesn't have many in the first place. For characters like Fugui, I think that when he loves someone, he really loves them very very deeply. I am looking forward to more Fugui x Qingtong scenes 🥺

I am also so impressed with Qing Tong's character so far. Let's be real, how many of us in her situation can do what she did? Despite being a weak spider demon and being threatened with her brother's life, she found a way where she can save her brother and also save Fugui. She poisoned herself too and lied to Madam Yin?! And then she was so adamant on going to Fugui even when she was heavily poisoned and with the Wangquan family disciples surrounded her. I don't know if I can even do that. She represents that even "weak" and "adorable" characters can also be strong in their own way.

On a side note, I'm actually scared that Qing Tong's brother will turn out bad...

Truthfully in my opinion, watching Love in Pavilion will definitely help your understand the situation in SaB better. There are flashbacks of LiP in SaB but I think it's not sufficient to understand what really happened.

I watched LiP and now I am able to make a lot of connections as to what is going on in SaB. For example, what is up with Wangquan Hongye (the dad), why is Fugui's mother refered to as a concubine, what's going on with Yiqi alliance etc.

It depends on how well you are able to enjoy and understand SaB with or without watching LiP. It's up to your personal preference! Some people prefer to just watch SaB without LiP and just rely on the flashbacks.

I'm not sure what you mean. Manhua (漫画) is basically Chinese manga/comics. Are you misunderstanding it with "Danmei" or am I misunderstanding your question?
