He's one of the worst actors. He fucked up this entire show; even Namkoong Min couldn't save it, as he usually…
That's interesting, because I came here especially for Jin Yi Han and I watched the series many years ago.
He was my favorite character in Empress Ki.

"they wanted to point out a certain kind of despair that led this woman to that choice at the particular moment." - on point!

I watched the first episode and the fact that he's half her age PLUS still in school is quite sickening and disgusting…
Maybe it's sick to you but according to the definition (google - wikipedia, etc) it's not pedophile behavior, no matter how loud you scream. It doesn't meet the criteria.

I respect you and your experiences but your overreaction shows something..

really? people actually like the fact that she's like a pedo?
If you were to truly try to understand this better, you would start by reading the definition of a pedophile (e.g. Wikipedia) because you are overusing the word and the acting in this drama does not meet the definition.
Best regards.

It is one of the most brilliant dramas there is. It is not for those who look for eye candy, cutesy, buffo comedy,…
For me it is the most accurate and condensed opinion about the series that I've read here.
Thank you!

Overall - very wise words. In my opinion, in prisons you have no chance of resocialization, you just fall deeper..
I stand by that.

What the former prisoner said - for the general (mainstream) - are very wise words.. it concerns statistically the largest group of prisoners (that's why I marked my opinion: overall)
"30 days or life" is the fastest polarization in hard prisons.
I'm talking about the rule, not the exceptions.

And I do not claim that this is always and everywhere.
As for the details - cases can be different and you can count on "miracles".

I worked with recidivists for 6 months, I know a little more about prisons European inside than the average citizen.

The most comfortable prisons can be found in Europe (Denmark, Norway, Germany) where people are treated like people and there are various rehabilitation programs. For some it can be like a vacation - of course that's an exaggeration, but compared to others.. But these are still exceptions.

Based on a large number of Korean and Chinese legal dramas, I have formed the opinion that this country and most Asian prisons are a black hole.. you go in and.. you don't come out any better, if you come out..
as for the general, of course.
Greetings.

Prison is not really a place where mental health can improve, it's worse..although you can take a break from social…
You can count on other good people, but you have to admit that prison - as a rule - is not a collection of good people. And prison services - still in general - are also hard to count among them. However, you can always count on a miracle and I wish Him that.
Greetings.

Oh my i thought it was a parody., your links. Wtf? Korea is a highly developed country with one of the smartest…
Technology is one thing and social norms (in real life) are another.
Just because technology is developed does not mean that society is modern - an example of which is Korea (no offense to that country).

Technological development was relatively fast (from a poor country after World War II to now, over several decades they have become a major technological power in the world, but the price for this fast development is a backward society - because the development was not sustainable.
And if the development is not sustainable - and the progress of development in one area (technology) is too fast, the other area (social norms and social awareness) must be too slow - to balance it out. These are the laws of physics and logic.
That is why they have a very well-developed technology and a backward society (norms and awareness).
The same pattern is shared by their nearby neighbor - China.
Best regards.

okay Great drama, great cast, Great OSTS and background music.. everything were so good the plot twists were perfect…
History knows many cases of incestuous relationships - most often among royal families, they have occurred all over the world and since antiquity. . (the oldest is probably the Myth of Oedipus - ancient Greece)

The ONLY reason why incestuous relationships are not recommended - is the possibility (but only the possibility) of having offspring with damaged DNA genes. This is the only reason, there is no other. I am talking about biological reasons, not cultural ones.
Now let's imagine a married couple who are closely related and do NOT PLAN to have children? What reason would there be to contraindicate such a relationship, apart from the narrow mind of the judgemental ones?
If some culture has a problem with this, I am really curious where such an attitude comes from?

There was no chance of 100% incest here, there could have been at most half of the genes shared (a common father), but this is still - in my opinion - not the reason for any outrageous and exaggerated reaction, they could simply not have children of their own and that's it.
Has such a situation occurred in your environment, among your loved ones, and was it socially reprehensible? I'm asking because I'm curious about the world and I'd simply like to understand you better.
Thank you.
Best regards.

My point of view:
At every moment, in every second, you are the best person you can be at this moment. With experiences and with awareness appropriate for the given moment.
This applies to each of us - human beings.
The amount of accumulated wrongs, pain and losses (and it all comes down to FEARS) in our Hearts, blocks us from opening our Hearts wider. I wish all people (including me) not to hold on to their fears tightly and open their Hearts more strongly, releasing sadness, regrets, hurts and sentiments - because this represents the weakness of our Hearts.
And only a Strong and Open Heart can Love Without Fear.

Title Midnight
As for the plot: a large amount of childish naivety in both the main characters (except ML) and above all, this naivety in the Police is striking - which may be incomprehensible to international viewers (I can't find another such example in the world, but I don't claim to know everything).
As for the conclusions: the film shows an important distortion of the Korean society run in this way, where - to put it simply - they are more afraid of being sued by an alleged villain than of letting the alleged villain go free (I was surprised that they didn't review the cameras at the police station during the incident, which takes a minute).

A great message and at the same time a strong warning.

A strong series that deepens the topic is the drama Vigilante (2023), which I recommend to those interested.

"Love Next Door" is the most boring series on Netflix; because of this series, I canceled my subscription there.
It's boring. If during an episode I check 3 times how much time is left until the end, it means that what I'm watching is boring.
And their chemistry, mainly on FL's side, is very unbelievable to me.
After Alchemy I really liked this FL actress, but here... now a drop of a few classes. Interestingly, ML still maintains the level, although he is lonely in this.
