Jiang Yan is one of the most passive 2ML I've seen in a drama. 2MLs are usually so pushy and doesn't listen when FL is not interested. Even though he likes WanWan, he has not done anything at all to make her like him and he has plenty of opportunities. He also has not done anything to get his father's attention. Such a mild and boring character.

The leads are surprisedly so calm knowing her mom and his dad are getting married, which will make them step-siblings. Maybe it doesn't count, since ZW is not in the same household as her mom, so by law there is no relationship.

I'm in Canada and all medical, surgery, hospital stay etc. are mostly free. I think there maybe some optional stuff you might need to pay for, like private rooms etc (but not emergency care). The only downside is the long waitlist for all medical procedures. Even drugs are free for under 18 and over 65. In Ontario, dental is also free for people who make minimum wages.

I get what you mean but I also get it from the grandmother POV. ZW is a teenager. She should not be burden with such a heavy load of getting 300K to pay for her medical expenses and then having to pay it off. It's not a small sum for a poor family. If she is gone, ZW will be free to do what she wants...so I have mixed feeling about this.

I'm very fortunate to live in a country where medical is free so we don't have this burden to carry.
