funny & still funny
This is one of those shows where you can see the ropes, but you still fall for the story... It's so crazy funny, "normal" and over the top at the same time, it packs comedy, action, ordinary life etc all in one, so that you cannot but go for it! It's entertaining, relaxing, not at all gloomy or anything... and the details are executed with finesse!Handsome faces, hot topics, settings are anything but cheap. Of course, there is nothing serious abt it, even a school teacher can see through the cover of a NIS agent. The said agent cant even avoid the surveillance cameras or fight an old civilian!
Hidden advertising is a given.
Not by far a realistic journey, but a fun ride. Count me in!
Later edit: Too bad the director couldnt keep the funny note till the end. It turned into some average melodrama.

watchable to an extent
Though im only halfway through this, i gotta say this drama had a tremendous potential which was sadly wasted. Most previous reviewers pointed out its flaws, and they are right. My major objection is to the way the pairs were made. Im sure that, if the leads had just exchanged partners, we'd have got a totally interesting story. The FL and the SML obviously formed a bond at the first meeting, and their disturbed relationship had a lot of potential. Also, the ML falling for the SFL - who courted him so sincerely during the first episodes - would help him solve his love vs money dilemma. Despite ppl saying that the SFL is so cute and sweet, i totally think she is plain as a character. I would've rather embraced a love triangle where the male leads fight for the same women, since they seem to be in constant competition anyway... The villain brother is also more engaging as a character. But alas! We get what we get. The director must've been very determined to give us rich/poor couples, instead of considering their personalities.Also, if the 1st couple is said to have little chemistry, id rather blame the stiff ML - i noticed this in his other dramas. While the charming Hyung Sik never fails to impress, adding a nice depth to his character.
Still we get good-looking actors, nice clothes, nice places... Watchable when nothing else comes in handy.

soooo slow-paced
I would give this series a 10 for all the nice details put together, for the beautiful camera movement and especially for the adorable young actors... BUT the action soon becomes sooo draggy that literally nothing happens for long long minutes. I totally understand that life is like that, mostly relying on small gestures, but for a drama i expect something different.Maybe it's just me losing patience?

typical romance - long version
The cast is good, the story starts promising, but it soon becomes boring, cheesy and unnecessarily complicate. All youngsters are adopted or have step-siblings, coincidences are never-ending etc. I was a bit disappointed to discover that Cinderella is not a real Cinderella, just a rebellious girl connected to not one - but TWO rich families. Like, the alternative to being rich is just being richer! I guess they lost me at that point...Dropping it despite enjoying the sweet moments in the beginning.

keeps me entertained!
I came to this after scrolling through a lot of boring & cliche dramas... Well, not the reputed ones - because i must've seen them all by now! So, i just stumbled on this, and here i am - totally ENCHANTED by the dynamics and actors!It surely is far from perfect, but at least it's something new, i mean - crazy new. And the plot & characters are so engaging! Even though i can clearly see the weak spots of this drama, i will continue watching it for now!! The comments i read so far dont do it justice, since you dont have to be so strict on this romcom combined with melodrama!
If i were to have an objection? Here it comes: The two women are way too similar, not only in looks, but character too! It also becomes creepy for the ML... Shouldnt the second FL have something to her own, besides being uneducated?? SMH
Side note: i confess i watched it on fast forward way too often, but - if you have time - all small talk is really nice. It's just that i hardly ever enjoy slow pace dramas... My bad : (
I dont know abt rewatch, but for now it's so smooth on the eyes!

an easy watch if you just ignore the pile of garbage
Despite being so long, it's quite easy to watch - i admit i skipped and skipped unnecessary scenes. The plot is pretty good, but the leads are not my cup of tea - the hottest one is the SML.All the characters are morally wrong. The FL practically stalked and abused the drunk ML... He deserved it, since he feeds his women the morning-after pill. Not even doing this personally, but having the servant clean the mess?
The cast could have been way better. I dont wanna criticize them much but definitely they dont score for me.
The only interesting couple is the thug friend and the rich heiress.
This drama had potential, i'd watch a remake.

slice of life & intellectual women are nice
It's really really nice as a journey through life, with a lot of slow-paced events and ordinary things that add to the realistic picture, but it somehow became boring when nothing really happened... It was so so slow that it became unrealistic for some intellectual educated successful people like our protagonists!The ML is doing an incredible job with performing someone who is unable to accept and express his feelings and establish the human relationships he is craving for. Also hard to believe that a smart woman - the FL - could miss the signals of a man's obvious interest in her... The SML and SFL are nice and funny in their own way, but still lacking as characters. Actors are always top notch!!
Too bad the writer and director didnt make more of the excellent script and cast and chose to drag and drag and reach an incredible 30 episodes - or so - over... nothing!
I truly enjoyed the first half of this series! It conveys a lot of meaning. So much that it made the other half useless for me.

stands up in the crowd
I've been watching vertical dramas recently, most of them are just garbage, but this one is nice in so many ways, and it's so funny and normal... Watch here if not deleted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-0aNolViRMBut can we really be fussy? These vertical C-dramas are a new genre, like lakorn reinterpreted... The ML - who is called Mr LU or Mr FU - is always domineering, aggressive - even in bed - and cruel (rich and powerful go without saying), while the FL is always sweet, poor and virginal, wearing a lot of white, and she constantly needs to be saved from attempted sexual abuse!
The FL is usually an orphan raised by an abusive family that solds her, or she solds herself to make money for a sick grannie/ sibling/ parent, which causes more misunderstanding and abuse from the ML who mistakes her as a prostitute etc. ALLLL the FL's - despite being in college or whatever - seem to know nothing abt protection, and discover "in shock" to be pregnant with one, two or up to five kids that she must gloriously raise alone.
We get one thing straight: MEN want sex with some young pure girls, while WOMEN want marriage to rich heirs!!! There are some sub-genres to this, where the ML or FL or their child has some disability that can be miraculously cured - be it mute, blind, crippled, allergic, rare blood group etc.
And oh! Lets not forget that they are childhood sweethearts, you know, the kind of love that starts in kindergarten…
The love-making usually happens while either the ML or the FL is drugged by the villain, so we get this dubious consent or rape that turns into love. The leads find each other again thanks to some birth mark or some jade pendant or whatever... But? i guess everybody knows these by now.
SPECIAL MENTION: A BIG APPLAUD TO ALLLLL THOSE "ASSISTANTS" THAT PLAY SUPPORT ROLES SO WELL, ADDING THE NECESSARY HUMOUR AND REALITY-CHECK TO THE DRAMA... CONGRATS, YOU ARE SEEN!

excellent comedy & action drama
This drama is really something you dont come across everyday, it's so good on all levels! The comedy is at its best, the action keeps you on the edge of your seat, the cast is magnificent! The two ML's look sooo handsome and their frenemy relationship is hilarious!Something this good comes up once in a million years. Though it's 20 episodes long, i hardly ever felt like it was dragging, in fact, they had material for 1-2 more episodes, because the romance was underdeveloped, though obviously the call was there.
I will happily rewatch it many times!

mediocre and boring
The male leads are ok, but the FL is quite unappealing, trying too hard to be funny and acting like a kid. Fake, in my opinion. Hardly any chemistry between the leads. The plot is hardly there, just some boring love dates. Very cliche while pretending not to be.The teacher FL is a kind of Mother Theresa, all the cast is there to admire and adore her. Her "teaching" means playing with primary school kids - once in a blue moon - while also tutoring in Math? Her parents oppose the marriage because the guy is RICH? Puhhhleasee spare me the nonsense! I really dont wanna see a mature intellectual woman pouting like a baby all the time and pretending to be cute while doing so. She is not even pretty with those exophthalmic eyes (sorry, no offense intended for those with this condition!).
Reviews keep saying that the FL is a strong woman. How is she strong if she needs to be saved from thieves or whatever and "feeling safe" at the ML's house? Same ML that spends a lot of money on her...
Also the supposedly rich, arrogant, overbearing, PLAYER ML seems to not have seen another woman before, the development between the leads is more or less ignored. The ML must be seeing another movie than us, his actions are full of lust towards this plain, prude woman like he is just back from the army. I really cannot...
A romcom as enjoyable as an old pair of slippers.

nice classical lakorn
If you can get past the fact that ML really looks old most of the time - though he is pretty good-looking and a natural actor - you will enjoy this classical lakorn that employs some old tropes, like the girl being sold for debt, unexpected pregnancy, revenge, rich man/poor woman etc, all DONE RIGHT. The FL is really good-looking, interiors/settings are luxurious, fashion is ok overall. Action is too rushed in the end, not enough romantic moments to justify the hate-to-love transition.Some side character steal the show... like the FL's mother and mother-in-law, they are also funny and round characters.
The SML - there are two of them actually - dont count, they are either boring or annoyingly ridiculous.
SIDE NOTE: the FL starred in a very similar lakorn, Raeng Ngao (2012), with same love triangle : uncle - nephew, but in this one she looks better, without the weird contact lens (?).
Right now i wouldnt rewatch this, maybe in the future?

it could've been nice but it's just boring
The genius Maths professor falling for the silly - but cute and cheerful student - is such an abused trope... It still could be ok since the actors are nice, but it drags way too much and the central plot is unnecessary entangled with other side stories. The main couple has little to zero chemistry, the ML repeatedly pointing out how dumb the FL is. And she is indeed! Failing in her studies, unable to keep a job or even to fry an egg (!).I'm not sure if this was the writer's intention, but the drama seems a demonstration of the fact that smart men fall for stupid girls.
I dont think i can keep watching this nonsense till the end.

too long and too fake
Despite being a recent production, this drama feels really old, like something you expect to see in the 90's. We get the innocent, adorable but poor girl, who looks like a sex bomb while being a saint (yeah, i know!). Personally, im not a fan of the FL, her acting is fake even for lakorns.So, at least 4 rich handsome young (or mature) men fall for the FL, but she is one proud girl, only going for love. Did i mention she was a saint? An orphan raised by a sick granny, also providing for her younger brother, working several jobs at a time etc etc. She tells a bunch of lies and uses men though, but it's always justified. The "girl in debt" tag is really needed on MDL, we get this trope SO very often! She gets in debt to a rich handsome loving guy who wants just to play around, while our strict FL throws in all she's got... And gets herself in trouble for being big-hearted (with the rich).
It's the ML who carries the show, though his character is poorly written.

Boring
Nothing spectacular abt this drama, i wonder if there is really a conflict except for the FL being unable to decide which guy to pick. Actors are handsome - though so skinny even for asian taste, but quite common looking faces, i was struggling in the beginning to recognize who's who. Also the identical fashion style doesnt help at all - its so obvious that they were dressed by the same stylist. I'd say, no effort was put into creating the illusion of life, it's all like a big doll's house. A lot of coincidence happen - FL sprains her ankle twice, ML is there to help each time , FL gets caught in the rain two times, of course ML is there again etc etc. If i happen to stumble across something better, i consider droppin it... till then, just fast forwarding.Was this review helpful to you?
not all tropey & well executed
All characters, though being in high school, hide some sort of secret and it seems to be a tad dark! This is of course very engaging... If you dont expect anything resembling "reality" and embrace the dramaland willingly, it will be quite entertaining to watch! The ugly girl is just the ugly duckling, the bully is a disguise of Prince Charming, the enemy is same as best friend etc. All set in the world of rich and famous...Still there is more to it than the typical teen dramas, so enjoy!
