That tells that the ML is inherently a good person. And his taste is the FL in her natural state. It's his fault for giving that advise and her fault for not being self aware enough to know that the advice was trash. How can she win a man by covering up all her fine points to fit his taste

It's disappointing, after waiting so long. It seems to me that this episode 7 should have been the first episode. It would have saved us so much frustration and debate. Then the rest of the drama will be proper romance. But no, we need to see all the fight and frustration

Thank you. So far, the ML's action have been in line with a cold but nice characterisation. It's the FL that has issues.
She fits the role of a SFL so far. Also, the side characters around the FL aren't good. Her roommates seriously encouraged her when there was no evidence for encouragement. They should have told her the truth to go her curtail her expectations. But they're supportive in a bad way kind of. Then the female coworker, just gives me a vibe that she's not helpful.
ML has amazing characters around him to make up for it I guess.

Her behavior is tempting me to drop it. Cause one thing I can't endure are stupid FLs. Hopefully we get to the real story now. If not, I'd just settle for watching clips on YouTube when it's done.

If she was the SFL we would applaud him for being clear. And it's not like he planned the mic. That incident is her fault for not considering location and other factors
There was nothing extraordinarily cold about his rejection. His character has been consistent so far. And he has someone he already likes, he should be loyal.
It's also the inconsistency of her character for him. In earlier episodes he said naive girl is never his type and she's been acting naive so far, not to mention he just heard her say she's naturally naive

I don't think he was rude. From his perspective, she's the SFL. He is loyal to his crush.
And the persona she has been presenting to him is NOT his type. He has no interest in naive girl, he also overheard her say she's a naive girl who sometimes pretends to be strong (we know it's the opposite, but he doesn't).
So why should he accept the confession?
ML has been in the right so far. FL hasn't shown him anything that's likeable to him as far as I can see. The few instances where her real personality comes out, she does something major to contradict it.

I wonder what her goal is. Cause if he falls for her with "gentle girl" persona, how is she going to maintain the relationship. How does she even value herself that way

I agree that multiple pairings might have been nice. Especially the 3 men have such a bond. (I really love Jiang Yang)
But then I think back to Love me Love my voice and the multiple pairings there didn't work out well.
They felt very week and the second couple just didn't seem right.
Makes me wonder if I'd have actually loved a second couple of they had taken the time to focus on one.

I agree, I find myself very defensive of criticism to FL cause I believe she played her part perfectly. And this is my first show with her.
A fan of Leo Wu, but the FL was my star in this show. Not perfect, not overdone, but lovely

I share your exact sentiments. Kdramas started becoming to thrumatic for me. I even stay far away from angst filed cdramas, no matter how popular. I've become so totally immersed in cdrama world, where even though they shove national pride down my throat, I love it cause it adds to the good people feel.
All I really want is romance and peace of mind. This is definitely my cup of tea.

The awkwardness is kind of a by product of the Long distance. And the fact that they weren't very family before getting into a relationship. But I definitely agree they've done a home run. If nothing else, episode 22. Women always take care and polish up before these things, especially with the self consciousness. She took a shower.

The FL has been very active in the relationship. Going to surprise him, fighting for him and just doing things for him.
They've been long distance for most of their relationship, of course she's still self conscious her objection was that she needed to shower, and as soon as she was done, she initiated intimate time. Even though he was already over it and told her to sleep.
That's how relationships go, besides she's allowed to just not want intimate time right after a 12 hour flight.
And she has been so obvious about her relationship, despite obviously not being into PDA, she has initiated quite a few even in this episode.
They agreed with their friends that it's best to delay informing her parents.
